[Quest 'Hellfire Club' completed]

[Reward: 2000 EXP, Anchor Fragment * 1]

Darian carried Moira out of the Hellfire Club, threw her into the car, and then started the engine and sped away.

Fortunately, Sebastian and the others didn't pursue them, and the two successfully left the Hellfire Club.

"Thank you, Darian, you saved my life," Moira said, still shaken but grateful.

"It was nothing."

"Oh, right, I need to report to headquarters!"

Moira quickly dialed her superior's number and reported all the intelligence she had gathered.

However, the other party simply didn't believe the bizarre content and even suspected if she had taken drugs.

No matter how Moira explained, her superior couldn't believe her. Out of desperation, she had to ask Darian to help corroborate her story.

As a result, her superior suspected both of them had taken drugs.

Moira: "..."

After the call was hung up, Moira's chest heaved with anger. The intelligence she risked her life for was dismissed like that.

She gritted her teeth and said, "Darian, we need to find an expert in genetic mutation. We must prove that what we're saying is true!"

Darian chuckled, "Coincidentally, I happen to know a top expert in that field."

"That's great! Let's go now!"

"No problem, hold on tight!"

Darian floored the accelerator, and the luxury car shot out like an arrow from a bow, with Moira's exclamations, speeding towards Charles's mansion.

Not long after, the familiar magnificent mansion appeared at the end of their sight.

Darian didn't slow down at all, driving straight through the front yard, executing a stylish drift, and stopping steadily at the main entrance.

Hearing the commotion, Charles opened the door and stepped out, just in time to see Darian getting out of a very familiar luxury car.

Before he could think further, he saw a woman dressed in unusually revealing clothes stumble out of the car, her face pale as she leaned on the car door.

"Who is this?"

Charles looked at Darian with a bewildered expression.

Darian introduced, "This is Moira, my colleague from the CIA. We were just on a mission."

Charles was stunned. "Do you CIA agents usually dress like this for missions?"

He wished he had joined the CIA back then.

Moira, enduring her discomfort, said to Charles, "You must be Dr. Charles Xavier?"

"Yes, may I help you?"

"I have some questions about genetic mutation that I need to ask you. Do you know about Mutants?"

Moira had heard Sebastian mention genetic mutation and Mutants when he threatened Colonel Hendry. It seemed their special abilities came from this.

Charles heard this and turned his gaze to Darian.

Seeing Darian shrug, indicating he hadn't revealed anything, Charles became curious and directly used his telepathy to read Moira's memories.

Soon, from Moira's memories, he saw everything she had encountered at the Hellfire Club, including Sebastian and the other Mutants, and their coercion of Colonel Hendry to agree to deploy ballistic missiles.

After reviewing Moira's memories, Charles's expression suddenly became solemn.

"Let's talk inside."

Once inside, Moira eagerly questioned Charles about Mutants.

Charles didn't shy away from the question and shared the results of his years of research on Mutants, stating that Mutants were indeed real.

Raven had just woken up from a nap and was stunned to see Charles chatting happily with a woman who wasn't wearing a coat.

"Who is this woman?"

"If nothing goes wrong, she should be your future sister-in-law."

Raven: "?"

So Charles liked this type of woman?

After they chatted for a while, Moira put her coat back on.

It wasn't out of shyness; as an elite agent dedicated to her work, the word'shy' wasn't in her vocabulary.

It was mainly because Charles's gaze kept involuntarily darting downwards during their conversation, which was really disrupting the flow of their discussion.

Sensing Moira's thoughts at that moment, Charles became incredibly embarrassed.

But he couldn't be entirely blamed; after all, it was difficult to consciously turn off a naturally occurring passive skill like 'auto-aim'.

Charles looked at Darian, trying to prove he wasn't an isolated case, only to find that the other party had already put on sunglasses at some point and was sitting motionless, making it impossible for anyone to see his gaze.

There's even this trick, why didn't I think of it!

After some discussion, Moira formally invited Charles to the CIA headquarters to personally explain the existence of Mutants to her superiors, so that the CIA would truly take the matter seriously.

Charles thought for a moment and then accepted her invitation.

He had always hoped to gradually make society understand Mutants, and this was a rare opportunity.

So Charles brought Raven, and the group walked to the door, preparing to drive there.

Seeing Darian walk back to the driver's seat, Moira quickly stepped forward to stop him: "Wait, Darian, you've worked hard on the way here. Let me drive this time."

It wasn't surprising that Moira was so nervous; it was simply because Darian's driving skills were too terrifying. He would just floor the accelerator and leave the rest to fate!

Even more outrageous, this guy would even drive on the sidewalk!

And his reason was very simple.

There are too many cars on the road, the sidewalk is wider!

Now Moira wouldn't dare to hand the steering wheel back to Darian for anything.

Riding in his car was even more thrilling than breaking into the Hellfire Club!

Darian didn't think much of it, handed the driver's seat to Moira, and sat in the back with Charles.

After the car started smoothly, Charles lowered his voice and said to Darian, "I checked Moira's memories. The group at the Hellfire Club are also Mutants, just like us. The leader is a man named Sebastian Shaw."

Darian nodded: "I know. Their abilities are not simple, especially Sebastian. His ability is to absorb and release all energy. The upper limit is at least the level of absorbing a nuclear bomb."

"Absorb a nuclear bomb!?"

Charles was somewhat incredulous. This ability was too powerful!

He didn't ask Darian how he knew the other party's ability, perhaps it was one of Darian's 'magic'.

Charles said with a solemn expression, "From Moira's memories, I saw Sebastian threatening high-ranking NATO personnel to push for the deployment of ballistic missiles, deliberately escalating tensions between the two countries. What exactly does he want to do?"

He knew clearly that although Sebastian and his group were also Mutants, they were definitely not the same kind of people as him.

This act of deliberately provoking war between two countries was no different from that of Terrorists.

Darian casually said, "What else could he do? Either he wants to destroy the World, or he wants to rule the World. After all, villains like him only have these hobbies."

Charles's brows furrowed upon hearing this.

In his opinion, either possibility meant catastrophic consequences.

Charles said seriously, "Their actions will only make the situation of Mutants more difficult, and even make them targets of hostility from all ordinary people. We must stop them."

[NPC Charles Xavier has issued you a new quest]

[Quest: Black King's Scheme]

[Objective: Sebastian Shaw attempts to provoke a nuclear war between two countries, trigger World War III, and use it to ascend to power and rule the entire Earth. Please do your best to stop his conspiracy.]

[Reward: EXP + 5000, Charles's Favorability + 20, Random Equipment 1, Random Item 2, Anchor Fragment * 5]

Darian had indeed guessed correctly.

Sebastian did want to rule the World, even at the cost of starting the Third Ninja World War.

But more than that, he was more concerned about Sebastian himself, and the few Mutants around him.

After all, his Brotherhood still had ten vacant seats, waiting for Mutants to fill them.

If he could take down Sebastian and the others, his main quest would directly be one-third complete.

So how could he get all these people to join the Brotherhood?

The group drove to the CIA headquarters, and Moira quickly contacted her superior.

Under her persistent insistence and assurances, her superior finally agreed to gather several high-ranking officials to the conference room to listen to Charles explain the situation of Mutants, to verify the content Moira had previously reported.

However, the CIA high-ranking officials completely dismissed Charles's words, scoffing at the idea of gaining superpowers through genetic mutation.

They simply didn't believe in the existence of Mutants, just like adults don't believe in the existence of Ultraman in the World.

In desperation, Charles had no choice but to use his ability to read the memories of some of the high-ranking officials and reveal some things only they knew, such as the U.S. planning to deploy ballistic missiles in Turkey.

Unexpectedly, this action led to even greater suspicion.

The high-ranking officials immediately labeled Charles a spy, believing he had obtained classified information through illegal means, and ordered his immediate arrest.

At this critical moment, Raven stepped forward and, in plain sight, transformed into the face of one of the high-ranking officials present, then reverted to her original blue-skinned form.

After this series of actions, everyone present had no choice but to believe in the existence of Mutants.

Of course, Ultraman still didn't exist.

After a brief moment of shock, these CIA high-ranking officials, for some unknown reason, upon learning that Charles and Raven were Mutants, their first reaction was to order their arrest, intending to detain them.

Charles felt a wave of exhaustion.

He finally understood Darian's words; sure enough, these people wouldn't listen to reason.

They ignored the clear threat posed by Sebastian and instead chose to arrest the people who kindly warned them.

Did these people all have too much enthusiasm in their brains?

Wait, no, if their brains were full of enthusiasm, what would that make him, who was peering into their brains?

Swimming in a cesspool?

Fortunately, not all CIA agents were fools. A bespectacled, stout official came forward to defuse the situation for the two, stating that the Base of his department could monitor Mutants, and he was very interested in Mutants and quite willing to assist Charles and the others.

Moira also realized the fact that her superiors were all idiots and decisively chose to act with Charles.

She also revealed a clue she had investigated about Sebastian: he was currently on a yacht at sea.

Given the high danger of the target, the bespectacled stout man decisively used his authority to coordinate and dispatch a naval guard team to assist in the operation.

Meanwhile, on the other side, a head suddenly emerged from the sea, staring coldly at a yacht not far away, like an emotionless killer.

Then a man in a wetsuit silently surfaced, transformed into an assassin, stealthily climbed onto the yacht, then pressed C to crouch and sneak, while taking out a dagger hidden in his sleeve, preparing to infiltrate the yacht and launch a perfect assassination.

As soon as he reached the stern deck, he saw Sebastian and two other Mutants walking towards him.

The two sides looked at each other, and the atmosphere became somewhat awkward for a moment.

Man: "..."

"What a coincidence, are you also here to admire the Moon?"

Seeing the man with his butt sticking out, sneaking around, the few people present were also stunned.

After Sebastian recognized the man's face, a hint of surprise appeared on his face: "Little Erik Lehnsherr, it's been a long time."

"Sebastian Shaw!"

Seeing his stealth broken, Erik decided to drop the act. Years of accumulated hatred burst forth in his eyes, and the dagger in his hand instantly shot out like a bullet towards Sebastian!

However, his thoughts had already been seen through by the White Queen beside Sebastian. She instantly diamond-hardened her entire body, easily blocking the incoming dagger, while simultaneously using telepathy to invade Erik's consciousness, forcibly awakening his most painful memories deep within his mind.

Erik clutched his head in pain, as if a spell was being chanted.

But he still endured the pain and rushed towards Sebastian. As a Mutant, he resolutely used close-quarters combat!

As a result, he was slapped into the sea by the White Queen.

Splash!

Having dealt with Erik, the comical assassin, the White Queen suddenly frowned, sensing a powerful psychic force, no less than her own, approaching. She immediately concentrated to block it.

Hello, the number you have dialed is currently switched off!

Meanwhile, on a distant naval patrol boat, Charles pressed his fingers to his temples, exclaiming in surprise, "I can't sense their thoughts anymore. It's as if something is blocking my ability."

"That's the White Queen's ability. She's a telepath, just like you."

Darian, with his extraordinary vision, immediately spotted the White Queen on the yacht's deck.

[NPC: Emma Frost]

[Codename: White Queen]

[Favorability: 0]

[Evaluation: Telepath, a female Bodhisattva who doesn't like to wear clothes, can turn her entire body into diamond]

Is this telepathy ability being mass-produced? It feels like everyone has a copy.

"We are the U.S. Coast Guard. Please stop your vessel immediately and remain in place!"

The naval guard team warned Sebastian's yacht through a loudspeaker and dispatched several assault teams in speedboats to approach the yacht.

However, Sebastian and his group ignored this.

Another Mutant walked to the edge of the deck, conjuring two violent tornadoes with his hands, instantly capsizing several of these teams, men and boats alike, into the sea.

In front of powerful Mutants, conventional armed forces of this scale were simply no match.

The bespectacled stout man exclaimed in shock, "My God, is this the power of Mutants?"

Darian nodded: "Yes, every Mutant has different abilities, some strong, some weak."

"Agent Darian, I heard you are also a Mutant. What is your ability?"

"magic, the kind of magic that cannot be explained by science."

As Darian spoke, an RPG Rocket launcher appeared out of thin air in his hand, and he aimed it at the yacht, firing a missile directly!

Bespectacled stout man: "???"

Your magic looks quite scientific!

A missile with a scorching tail flame flew straight towards the yacht.

Seeing this, Sebastian stepped forward calmly, meeting the incoming missile with one hand.

Boom!!

A deafening explosion sounded.

But strangely, the energy and Impact generated by the explosion, before fully dissipating, seemed to be drawn by some invisible force, beginning to contract inwards, finally condensing into a scorching energy stream in Sebastian's hand, which he then completely absorbed.

This was Sebastian's ability: to absorb all energy and convert it for his own use.

He's definitely a 'mechanic monster'.

Darian saw this scene and confirmed that ordinary attacks were completely ineffective against Sebastian.

But he didn't stop; instead, he raised the RPG again and fired another missile at the yacht!

"It's useless. The result will be the same no matter how many times you try."

Sebastian sneered.

With that, he raised his hand, intending to repeat the trick and absorb the energy of this missile as well.

Who knew that in the next moment, the missile deviated from its target, hitting the bow of the yacht and exploding with a roar!

"..."

Sebastian remained frozen in his stance of raising his hand to meet the attack, the atmosphere suddenly awkward.
