Hob Goblin?

The Green Goblin's son?

Peter was stunned when he heard that.

But he quickly realized that the person in front of him, wearing the same gear as Green Goblin, was none other than his good friend, Harry Osborn!

Harry had personally admitted to him that the Green Goblin was his father, and as the heir to the Osborn Group, it wouldn't be difficult for him to get a set of Green Goblin equipment.

No wonder he acted so disgusted with Green Goblin.

That was the mastermind behind his father, Norman Osborn's, disappearance!

Norman Osborn: #%@#@¥

"Harry Osborn, what are you doing here?"

Peter chose not to expose Harry's identity, as doing so would also reveal his own true identity.

"The same as you, fighting crime!" Harry said righteously.

As he finished speaking, he maneuvered his glider to the rear of the carriage, took out a cold-glowing metal sphere from his equipment belt, and accurately threw it at the door lock.

Peter quickly warned, "The contents inside are very dangerous, be careful not to cause an explosion!"

Harry smiled confidently, "Don't worry, I know what's inside."

As soon as the metal sphere attached to the lock, several thin probes rapidly extended, easily piercing the thick metal door panel, and then a dense white smoke sprayed from the tail of the probes into the carriage.

Soon, several muffled thuds of falling bodies came from inside the carriage.

This was the Osborn Group's latest non-lethal suppression technology, extremely expensive, and only a rich second-generation like Harry could use it so casually.

Peter watched from the side, full of envy.

Unfortunately, he wasn't a pay-to-win player and couldn't afford such operations.

Just as Harry was about to open the carriage door to check the situation, the truck suddenly swerved violently, its body swinging sideways and crashing heavily into a normally moving bus ahead!

"Oh no!"

Peter reacted extremely quickly, immediately leaping to the other side of the bus, using his body as a support, his feet firmly braced against the ground, and pushing with all his might to stabilize the bus that was about to overturn.

The enormous inertia made his arms numb, and the bus let out a piercing metallic groan, barely stabilizing.

Harry was also flung away by the sudden violent impact, tumbling several times in the air before barely regaining control of his body with the glider's stabilization system.

Just as the two were still shaken, the truck carrying Plutonium-238 reoriented itself and continued to flee!

"You're not getting away!"

Harry shouted and immediately stepped on his glider, preparing to give chase.

Peter also quickly released the bus, raising his wrist to shoot out a web.

Just then, a deafening rumble came, shaking the pavement beneath their feet!

The two turned to look, only to see a giant truck with a bright red cab rushing from a side street.

What was most astonishing was its rear cargo box, which was even larger than a freight train car, filled with various huge rocks. This scale looked to be at least several hundred tons heavy.

The man driving the truck also saw this scene and was instantly dumbfounded.

This was completely illegal transport!

The man was scared out of his wits and quickly slammed the steering wheel to make an emergency avoidance, but it was all too late.

Bang!!

A huge crash sounded, and the red-headed truck solidly collided with the Peterbilt truck!

Accompanied by terrifying impact and inertia, the Peterbilt truck's cab was directly crushed inward by the red-headed truck. The two vehicles finally stopped amidst a screeching metallic friction.

Optimus Prime was solo-killed by the Hundred-Ton King!

Harry looked at the completely dented and deformed cab, swallowing hard: "Spider-Man, do you think the driver is still alive?"

Peter said uncertainly, "Uh, probabilistically speaking, there might still be an extremely small chance."

Before he finished speaking, hundreds of tons of rocks in the red-headed truck's cargo box spilled forward due to inertia, instantly submerging the already deformed cab.

Peter and Harry: ⊙□⊙

Now he was definitely dead!

Immediately after, they saw the red-headed truck's driver's door open, and Darian calmly jumped out.

He patted the dust off his body, looked at the pile of rocks, and spread his hands innocently: "Sorry, blind spot, you suddenly darted out, you can't blame me, right? And I couldn't brake. If you have any issues, talk to my insurance!"

Peter: "..."

Harry: "..."

Bullshit, you didn't even try to brake!

Darian noticed the two, narrowing his eyes: "You two didn't see anything just now, did you?"

"No, no!"

Peter and Harry quickly shook their heads, indicating that this was just a traffic accident.

Darian nodded in satisfaction, then saw the Police cars rushing from a distance and said, "The Police are here, let's get out of here, follow me!"

With that, he pulled out a strangely shaped grappling hook, casually swung it, and the hook accurately latched onto the railing at the top of a distant tall building, dragging him directly across.

Seeing this, Peter and Harry, one on a glider and the other shooting webs, instinctively followed.

But soon, both of them felt something was wrong.

Wait, we're here to stop crime, and we haven't done anything wrong, why are we running away with him?

In a daze, they had already followed Darian to a secluded rooftop of a tall building.

Peter said speechlessly, "Darian, you said last time that you were with the NYPD, why do you always run away whenever you see them?"

Darian nodded honestly: "Yeah, the problem is they don't know I'm one of them."

Peter: "..."

Harry: "..."

Then your identity is fake, isn't it!?

Darian chuckled: "To be honest with you, my real identity is a S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent."

Peter asked in surprise, "What is S.H.I.E.L.D.?"

Harry also looked confused.

Even Tony didn't know about S.H.I.E.L.D.'s existence back then, so it was even less likely for them to know.

Darian explained, "S.H.I.E.L.D. is a special department. We handle things other departments can't, we kill people other departments can't, we act first and report later, authorized by the World Council – that's S.H.I.E.L.D.!"

Sounds impressive!

Peter and Harry, both high school students, were completely taken aback.

Before they could recover, they heard Darian say sinisterly, "Unfortunately, this superhero named Hob Goblin happens to be part of an incident I'm handling."

Peter and Harry: Σ(°△°|||)

Peter exclaimed in shock, "Are you going to kill Harry Osborn?"

He was very aware of Darian's abilities; even if he and Harry teamed up, they might not be a match for Darian.

Harry also looked nervous.

He had only been a superhero for a short time, was he already going to challenge a BOSS?

Darian waved his hand: "Of course not, it's just a routine identity check, just to make a record."

Generally, identity investigations are conducted secretly, trying not to alarm the target.

But he was too lazy to bother.

Why investigate secretly when you can just ask the person directly?

Hearing this, Peter and Harry immediately breathed a sigh of relief.

But Harry still shook his head, deliberately lowering his voice: "No, as a superhero, I cannot expose my identity."

"Stop pretending, Harry, I know it's you."

Darian mercilessly exposed his identity.

Harry was stunned: "Wait, how did you guess that Hob Goblin was me?"

"Do you even need to guess?"

Darian rolled his eyes; even if he didn't look at Harry's information, a little thought would reveal who this guy was.

Wearing the Green Goblin suit and calling himself Hob Goblin, who else could it be but Harry, the dutiful son?

Seeing Harry's dumbfounded reaction, Peter couldn't help but snicker.

He had reacted the same way when Darian exposed his identity, and now he finally had company.

To his surprise, Darian glanced at him: "Stop laughing, Peter, if identities are to be exposed, let's expose them together."

Peter: "..."

Harry looked at Peter in shock: "What! You're Peter!?"

At this point, Peter knew there was no point in pretending anymore, so he sighed helplessly and raised his hand to take off his mask.

"It's me, Harry."

"Oh my god, I can't believe you're Spider-Man. No wonder you always suddenly run to the restroom and stay there for hours. I thought you just had kidney deficiency."

Harry's voice was full of disbelief.

"Bullshit, I don't have kidney deficiency!" Peter retorted.

"It's not just me who thinks that, Mary Jane also secretly mentioned this issue to me."

Peter: "..."

I must change locations for changing clothes from now on!

Darian interrupted their conversation: "Let's talk about these things later, first tell me why you want to be a superhero?"

"Now that my father has disappeared, as his son, I naturally have to inherit his will and title, continue to fight crime, and protect the peace of New York!" Harry said righteously, with determination in his voice.

Since everyone present was his friend, there was nothing to hide, so he began to recount his mental journey.

Ever since Darian had single-handedly covered their retreat against the terrifying Dr. Lizard last time, Harry had deeply felt his own powerlessness. He resolved to make a change, to make himself strong enough to confront these evil criminals.

And so, he put on the modified Green Goblin suit, equipped himself with various new technologies from the Osborn Group, adopted the alias Hob Goblin, and began fighting crime in New York City.

Harry got the idea from Batman.

He, like Bruce Wayne, was approachable to ordinary people and could also mobilize top-tier technological resources to create various high-tech equipment. Except for lacking the other's strength and intellect, their characteristics were almost identical. This template was practically tailor-made for him!

Darian indicated that Harry had indeed learned a bit of the essence.

For example, like Batman, he showed half his face, so the U.S. Police would know he was White.

Finally, Harry clenched his fist: "And I'm going to find that damned bastard Green Goblin, beat him up severely, and ask him about my father's whereabouts!"

Darian's mouth twitched: "Your father is truly blessed to have a son like you."

"Of course!"

Harry proudly raised his head.

Soon, Darian received a system prompt.

"Task 'Investigate Hob Goblin' completed."

"Reward: 1000 experience points, 20 S.H.I.E.L.D. reputation, item 'Teleportation Orb'."

"Item: Teleportation Orb (Once bound to the user, the user can teleport to the orb's location at any time. Cooldown: five minutes)."

Darian's eyes lit up.

The ability of this Teleportation Orb was very good, essentially a mobile teleportation anchor point.

As long as he bound the Teleportation Orb and then gave it to someone else, he could teleport to that person's side anytime, anywhere, which was very practical.

After seeing the effect of the Teleportation Orb, Darian's gaze swept between Peter and Harry, and an idea suddenly sparked in his mind.

Harry asked cautiously, "Darian, I've told you everything I know, that should be enough, right?"

"Of course, no problem."

Darian nodded and said, "However, there's one more thing."

"What is it?"

Harry's heart, which had just settled, rose again.

Darian chuckled: "Are you and Peter interested in joining my team?"

"Are you talking about S.H.I.E.L.D.?" Peter asked in surprise.

"No, it's a team I'm building myself."

Darian explained, "I plan to form a superhero team to collectively handle crisis events that conventional forces struggle with. This World is becoming increasingly dangerous, and someone needs to step up to protect the innocent and uphold justice and peace."

In fact, he was inspired by Coulson's team and intended to form his own team that would listen to his command, specifically to help him share those tedious daily tasks.

After all, this game's task judgment mechanism was quite flexible; as long as Darian participated in the key Link, the system would deem the task completed.

With the Teleportation Orb, he could assign daily tasks to this team, letting them handle the preliminary chores, and when they were almost done, he would teleport over to execute the final step.

This way, he could greatly save time and energy, which was equivalent to automating daily tasks.

Just thinking about it made him excited!

Of course, the members of this team must have sufficient strength; if the team members were not strong enough, he would ultimately have to personally step in to rescue them, which would completely go against his original intention.

And Peter and Harry, right in front of him, were undoubtedly the best team members.

One a pay-to-win player, one a cheat player.

It would be more than enough for the two of them to team up and handle those less difficult daily tasks; it couldn't be more suitable.

"Like the Avengers?"

Peter immediately became interested.

He had actually thought about joining the Avengers before, but Steve felt he was too young. Children like him should go back to school instead of doing dangerous things like them.

Tony agreed; he hated bratty kids the most!

Darian nodded: "More or less, except our scale isn't that large yet. You have to understand, in the corners the Avengers can't reach, there are countless dangers that need to be dealt with, and we are here to fill those gaps."

"No problem, I'm in!"

Peter agreed almost without hesitation.

Harry, however, was a bit hesitant.

He was, after all, the heir to the Osborn Group and had his own prestige; joining like this seemed to make him too cheap.

Darian's voice drifted over faintly: "Join my team, and you can enjoy medical benefits, including treatment for hereditary diseases."

"I'm in too! For justice!"

Harry's eyes were incredibly firm.
