Chapter 9 - The god

"Get yourself out of the ground beast, we need to leave now! Before that god returns here!" she strikes the ground with her stuff, releases the beast from the ground.

"At least I have what I want from that little girl." She holds up the container looking at it in relief.

The beast gets closer to her and she surrounds both of them in a dark cloud and vanish and reappear at her cave.

"Wait here!" she makes haste into the deeper and darkest part of the cave and summons the demon.

"Have you made progress Gwanhoya?"

"No, my lord!"

"And yet you have the audacity to summon me holding yet another disappointing failure on your hands!"

"This time I might have succeeded but an unforeseeable circumstance arose! The young god appeared and made everything impossible for me, I barely got out of the predicament!"

"I see, the young god is back yet again and still dares to interfere with my plans!"

A moment of silence with Surgat thinking on what next.

"Proceed with the preparations and do not confront the god! At any cost refrain from any type of confrontation with the Wezhira god!"

"Wezhira god?"

"Yes, the Wezhira god! His origin is unknown us demons, he just appeared out of nowhere and his power is immeasurable and one time one of the seven princes of hell fought him but could not even scratch the god!"

"You cannot tell me that a pagan god is more powerful than an archdemon!?" she sounds surprised upon hearing the words of Surgat.

"It appears he is!"

"I see!" she replies forming fists.

"Good, so just proceed as planned but keeping a low profile, we are too close to achieving our goal and failure and quitting are no longer options!"

"Yes, my lord!"

Surgat disappears, she leaves the cave, exhales loud.

"You need some clothing and a name! I will not continue calling you beast! And then after a bit of rest we will continue the mission."

The beast comes closer to her, and she puts her hand up with the palm open and it lays its head on the hand and closes its eyes.

"But we will need to do it fast or everything will be for naught!" she turns her head, "I guess you will execute my will and are my true right hand, what about Wrath!"

"There are too many people in this era all over the world! More than there was in my timeline back then when I was a human. But where we are going next is filled with powerful magic users and it is going to be fun crushing their spirits and then killing them."

"Hopefully, I will be able to teach that treacherous descendant of mine a lesson afterwards! Get some rest, I have to go and check something."

She leaves Wrath alone in the cave.

Magical Anchorage

"Well, that was close!" he lays their bodies on ground, "It is still as beautiful as ever."

Gurudza struggling to move, "How do you know about this place?" he asks.

"Why would I not know about it? After all I am the one who created it." Wezhira answers jocundly.

"What?" Gurudza is shocked at what the god said to him.

"Save your strength your prince!"

The prince's sight slowly fades, dosing out for his body had endured a lot of pain and is exhausted because he had used a huge amount of magic. But in this last moment as it seems he strives to keep his eyes open looking at Mukura whose body is lying lifeless and cannot reach out to her for his body no longer has the strength.

"Hmmmm, young love!" he walks to their bodies.

Places his hands on their foreheads for a while and removes them and goes on to sit down crossing his legs, his hands on his thighs and waits for them to wake up after their rest. The wounds afflicted upon them heal slowly. An imprudent pair they are.

He keeps watch over them for the rest of the day and night. What awaits them tomorrow is a new day with the mysterious being guiding them.

 The next morning!

Waking up to the bright light, Mukura is confused whether she is dead or alive. For the place she is feels a lot like heaven. There is no eerie feeling rather peaceful and delightful. Heart-warming, her eyes coming to, she can see the beauty that surrounds her. The trees, the flowers, the grass the sound of a peaceful song being sung by birds and is aided by the wind. After a terrifying time facing Gwanhoya, a little peace she can do with.

Get up from the grass to scout the place. The thoughts of it being heaven are the ones her mind keep pushing to the front.

"Am I really dead?" she asks with a soft voice.

"Yes, and who could have thought that I would be part of that heaven!" a familiar voice comes from behind her.

She turns and jumps to hug Gurudza and holds on tight, with tears flooding her cheeks. Hearing his voice bought a feeling of relief. But if he is with her it means both of them are dead now. Quickly, she releases him and start checking his body.

"How are you dead? I thought I saved you from deaths grasp!" she sounds concerned stammering.

"Well, it is a long story and your clothing still all torn up even in death!" Gurudza checks her out head to toe with pleased eyes.

His hands on her shoulders, with a smile looking at her he moves his right hand and places the index and thumb on her chin.

"I am just kidding! We are not dead, somehow we survived!" he turns his gaze away from her.

"How is that possible? After what she did to me I can't see any logical explanation as to how I survived!" confusion on her face matches her doubtful voice.

"Right now, we cannot question much Mukura, we just have to be thankful we are alive!" gratefulness is what his face is showing.

Wondering if what he had seen before he died was all an illusion. The little boy who he had seen in his visions and the one he saw are similar in every way. The voice, look, the garment and the feeling of warmth. Except this one that came did not have a stuff or everything he has been seeing has been in his head.

Mukura falls to the ground and cries out loud. The pain of not being able to save her sister is eating her up. Gurudza drops his thoughts to attend to her! Sits down right beside her, draws her closer and begins rubbing on her shoulders.

"It is all my fault my sister got possessed by that demon!" she yells holding on to him tight, "If only my curiosity had not got the best of me, nothing would have happened! I let her control me!"

"It is okay, everything will be okay. We will get your sister back!"

She continues to cry.

"If you too love birds are done, get here so we can begin!" Wezhira utters these words looking in the opposite direction.

So, everything he has seen until this point is not just in his head but really happened. The young-looking god he has seen in his vision and when Gwanhoya was making her monster kill the policemen and the one who brought them here is right in front of them.

"You, you are real!?" let's go of Mukura, rises from the ground.

"Yes, I am!"

"Gurudza, who is that boy in the golden robe?" Mukura asks confused as to what is going on.

"That is the one that saved us from the demon and I am not sure who he is yet!" Gurudza answers but does not move his eyes from him.

"That boy over there saved us? That is impossible!" she is in disbelief but does not laugh as she rejects.

"It is true, he is the one who saved us and I do not know why or what he is yet!"

"What I am young prince, is a god!" his face turns thoughtful after asserting what he is to Gurudza looking up in the sky, "If you will please excuse me, I need to attend to something for a little bit, I will return shortly." He disappears.

Reappears right outside of the Anchorage. Two being in front of him looking serious. One with ambled in darkness and the other in light. The one in light has wings on him and the one in darkness has blades behind his back.

"Devoid and Metatron! It is unlike you two to be hanging around each other!"

"Really, Wezhy boy? You are still going around looking like a little boy?" Devoid's says mocking him and laughing.

"This is not the time to be trolling each other!" Metatron interjects furious, "We are here with a message from Yahweh, Wezhira!"

Wezhira seemingly delighted, "And the one who sits above all angels saw it fit to deliver it personally! I am honoured but did you have to let this demon with no manners tag along too?"

"The issue also concerns him!" Metatron clarifies on why Devoid is present and why he came.

"Very well, speak!" he says in a commanding tone.

"The children of Monagea have detected the child of the infinite being Pradna and they are headed for this universe!"

"So soon?" the look on Wezhira's face gradually changes, "This is not good!"

"I thought I had managed to prevent that from happening anytime soon but it seems the boy was forced to use his power somehow!"

Wezhira narrows his eyes checking out what Devoid wants to do, "Can't the big guy do anything about the situation?"

"The infinite being have left Wezhira, it is only you and Devoid and the kids left to defend this world from the darkness that threatens it! We angels can barely stand against what is coming and it seems like it is beginning to affect the evil in this world also!"

"What do you mean affect the evil in this world Metatron!?" Wezhira asks in a low deep and scary voice.

Metatron stretches his right arm out and projects the earth, showing areas marked with the darkness.

"I think even you must have felt it. Demons even the lowest ranking ones are commanding a lot of power! I do not know what time we have left but when they are reach this universe we will know because ...…"

"The power of those who reside in the darkness will increase, hence they will rise and the age of darkness will begin!" Devoid finishes the statement waving his hand.

"Ohh, look he suddenly got smart!" Wezhira mocks him in a childish tone, "I think Devoid here can handle the situation until I am done with everything here and besides, you said they are coming so what use will it be for me to go there and speak to him!?"

Metatron is getting impatient as he does not understand why he is not treating the matter with emergency, "It is not to tell him not to use his power! It is time to prepare for the dark war."

"Let me finish what I am doing here and then I will head there right away!" Wezhira turns and is getting ready to leave.

"What is it that you are doing here, old boy!?"

"Creating soldiers!" Wezhira disappears back into the Anchorage.

"You two will never change!" Metatron says preparing to fly and Devoid does not answer and leaves with him.

Reappears in front of Mukura and Gurudza and they quickly rise from the ground.

"Now we can begin!" Wezhira says with a smile on his face.

Mukura quickly comes to the front, "Where were you at?" she asks.

Wezhira drops the smile on his face and stares at both of them, "That is not why we are here!" focuses his gaze upon Gurudza, "What is on your mind young prince?"

"You saved us from the witch, correct? But you did not destroy her, why?"

"That is not my destiny to defeat Gwanhoya! It is a path I set for you and her." He answers advancing forward towards them, "This just the beginning of your journey and in order for you to be able to reach your fullest potential you need to...…. Train and become stronger!"

"But you could have ended her there and then and saved us the trouble!" Mukura sounds disappointed and confused as she utters these words to him.

"You are right! I could have ended her there and then and taken away your chance to grow and gain battle experience and be able to fight future threats that will come your way."

Gurudza looks relieved at this point hearing those words coming out of Wezhira's mouth. He forms fists on his hands with a mischievous smile on his face with his eyes twinkling with delight.

"I will end her with these hands, she who dared to kill my father in cold blood!"

Wezhira notices the blood thirsty, malevolent look on his face and the aura emanating from his body is partially corrupted with hate and the need for vengeance.

"True, you are the one who is going to defeat her but with your current tainted heart and mind she will be able to exploit it and kill you and what will happen then!?" he takes two steps towards him, "I noticed you managed to tap into your true power, just a bit of it. A calm and clear mind, pure without anger or hate able to summon godly power!"

"Do you know how it feels to have your father killed and thrown at you like garbage in front of the whole entire village!" he shouts in anger and tears flow out of his eyes with his eyes red.

"I don't!" Wezhira answers, "But I do know this road you want to take will lead to your death and what then? You will be killed by the same entity that killed your father!"

"Gurudza!" Mukura slowly calls his name seeing that his face has changed and looks hateful.

"Do not try to interfere Mukura! Let me handle this you, go and begin your training, this won't be long I will come over and help you improve!" Mukura does exactly as she has been told.

"If you continue like this you will drag her down with you and I guess it will make you happy!" he continues.

"Stop uttering nonsense! What do you know about suffering? You are a god and there is no way that what happens in this world even affects how your day goes, to you, we are just play things!"

"You are oblivious and for a second there when I saw your battle I was almost convinced you are ready. But looking at you and listening to your now shows you are not even fit enough for anything. Your father would be greatly disappointed!"

"And what the hell do you know about my father!?"

"Probably, more than you ever did and also that his death was his own fault!"

Clouds are gathering covering the whole Magical Anchorage and Gurudza's face contorted.

"A little cloud gathering and an angry gorilla like face and you think you can scare me from telling the truth? What a foolish little boy do you even know what you are dealing with?"

"I don't care, I will not let you bad mouth my father anymore!" Gurudza seems determined to shut him up and Wezhira is calm.

Mukura rushes over, "Gurudza please! Do not do this please!" she pleads with him.

"Little girl! I told you I will handle this, did I not?" he slowly turns his gaze toward her.

"Yes, you did but …...!"

"No but! Just do as I say I will handle him!" he sounds so sure of himself as he assures her.

A gaze upon Gurudza, with tears flowing from her eyes on her cheeks slowly. She desires to save him but she does not know how. Even if Wezhira grants her the passage to do so, will she be able to calm him. She turns away to continue her training.

Gurudza is preparing to attack Wezhira who is at this point eager to see what he can do. Mukura again, stops and observes everything from the distance.

Gurudza stretches his hand out and slowly brings it down, "Lightning rain!" and lighting begins to continuously strike at where Wezhira is standing.

"You forced my hand with your foul mouth!" Gurudza sounds relieved by what he is doing.

Mukura wants to move to where they are but her body refuses to take a step forward. What is wrong? Why can't I move she thinks to herself looking down at her legs.

"Did I not tell you little girl! Do not move from there just keep training, I will handle this!" Wezhira speaks in a calm voice and fear shakes Gurudza's wall of confidence hard.

With all his might strikes the ground, disturbing the earth and Wezhira nullifies everything and walks over to him slowly.

The eerie feeling is different from that one caused by Gwanhoya. The feeling of powerlessness he felt the first time he met Gwanhoya and whenever he sparred with his father is preventing him from making anymore moves.

"What? You can't take the truth when it is presented to your face about your father's face? Funny how you become so calm when you use that power, you subconsciously tap into it and only able to use a small part of it!"

Gwanhoya when he stroked her with the lightning she at least showed that she was feeling the effects but he is completely unphased by it. Is he really a pagan god? Or he is something completely different from Pagan gods?

"You are wondering if I am a pagan god?" Wezhira smiles slowly approaching Gurudza.

How did he know that I am thinking about that? Is he reading my mind? Gurudza ponders on his thoughts. The power that he has is dense.

"Trouble your mind no more, young prince, I shall tell you who I am! I am a young god who appeared in this world, created by three of the four most powerful infinite beings in existence and sent from the heavens."

He levitates and projects images in the air of a young man.

"Who is that?" Mukura asks looking at the image.

"That is me, little girl, centuries before your birth!"

"So, you age backwards?" she attacks his manifestation as a child.

"Actually, how I look is a matter of how I want to look, how I would like to manifest myself in this mortal realm."

"Gods! How typical." Gurudza says in a harsh low tone.

"Your father could have stopped Gwanhoya from possessing Monalisa but he did not. He let her possess the innocent young lady and he went on to be soft on the demon, just to show his superiority. Your father also possessed the power of a god so technically he was a demigod and dying at the hands of a demon!"

"And there you go again disrespecting my father! How can a normal human possess godly power?" Gurudza seems calm now and is no longer acting up on his rage.

"How indeed, I am going to be brief so you better listen up!"

The two take a sit down on the disturbed ground to listen.

"After I landed, I began helping out however I can, rooting out evil on this earth returning it back to where it belongs. And then one day, a village called Domboguru was hit by a series of disasters," he changes the image to an image with people in a land hit by drought, diseases and dead bodies of humans and animals, flies flying all over, "People dying everywhere and their livestock dropping every day in large numbers."

"So, what was killing the people, the livestock and the land?" Wezhira turns, looks at Mukura slowly coming down.

"A child of one of the four infinite beings! But you are not yet ready for that."

"After a lot of deaths, I approached the ruler of the Domboguru at that time, offered my help introduced myself as a wizard and he turned me away. I decided not to ask for permission to save the people and so I decided to work on it on my own. And while on the case, the power that had caused the misfortune was not of this world and the being behind everything cloaked himself well to escape me."

He twists the image again and now there is a man and a little girl.

"To lead me away from discovering the truth, the being released two arch demons from the demon realm, Azazel and Beelzebub. Who wreaked havoc upon the world! And Stopped Beelzebub from destroying this kingdom sending him back to the demon realm."

He changes the images again and a demon appears.

"When I faced Beelzebub, I was just like you, young prince! Unaware of the truest extend of my power! Reckless and because of that, many people died and when the battle was over and won, I saw the death and destruction I had caused, they hailed me a hero but I was no different from the one who I was fighting for I did not consider those who were paying for my love for battle."

There is pain and regret in his voice, switches the images and a pitch-black demon like creature appears, with a white diamond on his chest. His eyes white and a black pigment. Wearing a shiny silver armour on his body and two blades behind his back.

"This is no ordinary demon now is it? The way it looks it is a high-ranking soldier demon!" Gurudza mesmerised by the armour and fierce on the face of the creature speaks in an excited tone.

Wezhira smiles, "High-ranking yes! Demon? No, this is what is known as a Demiurge, a god extension or a child of an infinite being and his name is Devoid and he has six siblings, 3 brothers and sisters and all of them powerful in their own right!"

"Sounds like you are going to say we are not ready for that yet again!" Mukura rises from the ground and folds her hands.

"That would be correct, but in time I shall tell you! My battle against Devoid shook realities across the infinite space and finally, he conceded, somehow I was able to get through to him and he helped me heal the world, restoring everything back to normal as much as we could."

"So, the dark god is now a good guy? Just like in the movie, except this is not romance!"

Mukura stares at Gurudza annoyed by what he just said.

"What? Why are you looking at me like that?"

"Nothing, no reason!" she returns her attention to Wezhira.

"I have not finished telling the story yet little girl and you there, young prince!"

"I am sorry! Please continue."

"Upon my return, the tales of my heroic deeds had spread like a wild fire. The ruler at that time had a daughter and no son. I got married to her and later became the ruler of the land and faced the last arch-demon and defeated it without breaking a sweat."

"It can't be!" Gurudza is shocked by what he just heard come out of his mouth, "You can't be my ancestor!"

"Even after receiving that vision, you are still in denial?"

"How do you know about that?"

"I am after all a god!"

"And what gives you the right to play with my life!?" he shouts and turns to leave the anchorage.

Mukura tries to follow him and Wezhira stops her.

"Let him be for a little while!"
