Chapter 7 - Poem 6. Fears.

My heart, held captive.

My words, held in.

My hopes and dreams,

My wishes of love,

My fears of love, of men.

Fears that are afraid of themselves.

I'm afraid to be afraid.

They're all stick inside,

Clawing to escape,

To escape themselves,

Each other.

To escape the body and mind,

Fighting with me.

Clawing to be free.

The resistance to be afraid.

Cowardly fears, cowardly thoughts.

I want to be free from my fears,

I need to understand them.

Maybe then I'll stop.

Stop isolating myself.

I'm lonely because I'm afraid.

And I'm guilty of these fears.

It's wrong to the people that love me.
