Zain wore black t-shirt, black pants and black long leather boots. After he finished changing, he went downstairs to eat.
He saw May heading to to the kitchen and decided to order some food to eat.
"Hey May, Can you bring me 2 plates of meat and 3 cups of ale."
"It's coming right up Lucas."
Zain decided to grab a table to wait for the order. He thought about a lot of things while he was waiting for his order. The people who tried to rob him the other day, saw him and avoided eye contact. 'They're smart.' Zain thought to himself.
The man who was following stopped following him when he got to the inn. Zain thought something came up that he stopped following him.
Zain realised that he has no one to talk even after leaving the island. There are May and Zack but those are just the people he met.
Zain had nothing to do besides thinking. 'I guess ever since I left the island, I've got to pick what to do but do nothing.' Zain thought to himself, 'I gues he was right.'
"Common Sense is Not So Common anymore."
Zain said out loud. May appear holding tray full of food and Ale. She put tray on the table beside Zain.
"Talking to yourself huh." May said to Zain.
"I was thinking out loud."
"Thinking about home."
"Well yeah and mostly about myself." He thought to himself, 'Since that Island is my home.'
"If you don't mind, can you tell me about yourself." May said as she grabbed a sit infront of Zain.
"Are you interested in me?" Zain playfully asked May.
"Oh, hell no. I'm not interested in you, I'm just curious about you." May in a dismissive voice.
"You don't have to say it like that. Anyway, what do you want to know about me?"
"Everything you can tell me."
"Okay. My name is Lucian Zain von Dawnbreaker for start and I'm...." Zain said before May cut him mid speech.
"I thought you said your name is Lucas."
"No, I said you can call me Lucas and not my name is Lucas."
"I thought Lucas was your name all this time."
"Nope."
"Do you have siblings."
"No, I think I'm the only one but I don't know. I grew up alone."
"What about your parents?"
"My parent just gave me a bunch of books and left me alone." Zain said and thought.'I mean since Essence brought me to this world, technically he's probably my parent."
"You don't have siblings and your parents were irresponsible. It's probably why you are carefree."
"Why do you think I'm carefree?"
"1st of all, you waste money. 2nd, you avoid conversation with other people. 3rd, you don't try to find something you enjoy."
"I don't waste money."
"Sure you do. You gave me 1 gold coin when you first came here when you should've given me 8 silvers."
"I didn't have change at that time."
"I would've given your 92 silver coins back to you."
"I guess you're right. I'm trying to find something to enjoy. I guess I'm still trying to figure out who I am."
"Don't."
"Don't what?
"Don't try to figure out who you are. Live your life the way you want and you'll know who you are."
"Wow, that's deep. Glad I had a conversation with you."
"Okay. Guess I'll leave you to your meal."
After May left, Zain eat his food in peace and drank his ale. After drinking his ale, he realised something that he can't get drunk. It's not because he only drank three cups of ale, it's because it tasted plain.
The ale had no flavour or effect on him. It tasted like water if the water has not been filtered and he doesn't know what it taste like but it still taste like water probably. Not unfiltered water that comes from rain.
Zain knew what's the cause of it but it's still not good to not get drunk when drinking ale.
After Zain finished his food, he left the inn and headed to the guild.
Upon arriving at the guild, he was questioning himself of what he's going to do at the guild. He entered the guild and headed straight to reception.
Sarah was busy with the guild's work and didn't spot Zain entering.
"Hello Miss" Zain said to Sarah and Sarah was surprised to see him standing there.
"Oh. Hello Lucas, what can I help you with today?"
"Is the guildmaster available?"
"Yeah, you can check him upstairs."
"Thanks Miss."
"You can call me Sarah."
"Okay Miss." Zain said as he headed upstairs and Sarah was surprised that he didn't call her Sarah after the gesture.
Zain went upstairs and knocked at the Guildmaster's door.
Zack was wondering who it was knocking at the door and realise that the only person who he can't sense at all is Zain.
"You can enter Lucas."
Zain was probably shocked that Zack managed to sense him.
"How did you know it was me?"
"Because I couldn't sense someone at the door."
"Oh, what a great deduction. Wait something doesn't add up, what if I was an assassin or spy?"
"They don't knock and if they do then they are bad assassin or spy."
"Good point. You can make a great detective. I came to visit you."
"Visit me? Just casually visiting me?"
"Yeah. Is something wrong?"
"Nope. Nothing is wrong but why though."
"I don't know what to do."
"Of course you don't. You're already strong so you'll find most of the things boring. Which is a good thing?"
"Why is it a good thing?"
"Because if you're already strong and still seek power, then you're probably a bad guy."
"I take it back, you won't make a great detective."
"Okay. You don't understand. Let's say you've got wealth, power and influence then what can you seek besides peace or destruction."
"Oh yeah. I once heard of the Pirate King, who had wealth, fame, power but choose to kill himself leaving his pregnant wife."
"Oh I wish to know this Pirate King. Why did he kill himself leaving his pregnant wife? Was his wife not faithful?"
"DON'T YOU EVER SAY THAT!!!" Zain said in anger towards Zack.
"Oh, sorry about that. It's not because his wife was unfaithful or something. As a matter of fact it had something to do with her."
"Tell me the story then." Zack asked with curiosity
"It's just that the Pirate King was dying you see. So he made a deal with the Marines to not capture his crew mates if he's captured. He turned himself in and the marines executed him in public."
"I guess the marines are something like military people right and the pirate king is probably a thief of all thiefs, right?"
"Yeah it's like that."
"So what happened to his wife?"
"His wife? The pirate king asked his brother from another mother to take care of his wife."
"Why didn't he asked his group?"
"Let me ask you this, would you trust fellow thief with something precious? No right. His group didn't even know he was married. To tell you the truth, he didn't want his child and wife to be hunted down."
"Then why did he ask his brother to take care of his wife and child."
"Because his brother is a Marine Hero and nobody would suspect him. Anyway let's stop talking about this."
"You've just going to cut the story in the middle. Come tell me more."
"I didn't come here to talk about that. I came here to understand something."
"Did you understand it?"
"Yes in a way. You said if I'm already strong and still seek power then I'm a pure villain."
"I didn't say it like that but yeah."
"You didn't make me believe in anything which is good."
"Why is it good?"
"There's a saying that says..." Zain paused a little and says,"Those who can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities."
"That's a good saying."
"Anyway I gotta leave and thanks for the talk."
"Oh hey, are you going to tell me the full story of the Pirate King?"
"Yeah some other time."
Zain left the guildmaster after saying that.
