Chapter 9 - Chapter Eight: The Rise of Heroes and a New Path

The chapter opened with Ivan sitting with Hiroshi, discussing the power he had gained after controlling the flaming Phoenix Shura.

Hiroshi: How does it feel to possess this power?

Ivan: My body is burning inside like hell.

Hiroshi: That's understandable. The magic of the Phoenix Flame is an ancient sacred flame, and your ability to possess it is truly miraculous. But you must remember, there are those stronger than you. It's true you've reached a significant level of power, but that's not enough. They are truly giants. Don't forget: the Holy Heroes, the Heavenly Angel Soldiers, the Gods, and others.

Ivan: I understand that perfectly. You and your tribe deserve our trust.

Hiroshi: That makes me happy, truly.

All the members of the Dark Elf Tribe celebrated with Ivan after his great achievement and presented him with a necklace signifying his belonging to them. Hiroshi said, "You have demonstrated true will, Heir of Gene. But remember, the more dangerous and difficult your adventures become, the more powerful enemies you will face." Ivan replied gratefully, "Thank you for everything you've done." Hiroshi Ohara smiled and said, "It's alright, it's meant to be. We're counting on you in this day and age. (He's just like you in his ways, Jin.)"

After nightfall, everyone was asleep, even Yui. Ivan prepared to leave discreetly and set off on foot, but he was surprised to find Hiroshi waiting for him, laughing. "No wonder you're just like him, even in your ways, but I won't stop you. If you ever meet my daughter, please take care of her." He placed his hand on Ivan's head, smiling. "Promise me."

Ivan replied, "I don't understand what you mean, but I will."

Hiroshi handed Ivan a map showing the routes he wanted to take and said goodbye.

Hiroshi: "Jin, the boy I counted on, the one I said was the boy of prophecy, his adventures have already begun. We'll see what the future holds." Ivan embarked on a new path, at the height of his elegance and maturity, knowing that he only bestows his trust upon those he deems worthy. Morning arrived, and Yui awoke searching for Ivan, but to no avail. She went to her father and found him sitting. "Father, where is he?" she asked.

Hiroshi replied, "He left." Yui's heart sank. "He didn't even say a word."

Hiroshi said, "We can't force him. Ultimately, he's free to do as he pleases, and he's the type who doesn't care about love and such things. You shouldn't pursue this love, Yui."

Yui remembered everything that had happened between her and Ivan since their first meeting, and said to herself, "One day we'll meet again, and I'll show you how much stronger I've become. Father, I want to train even more than this moment."

Ivan Muto emerged from the Great Jura Forest, wearing ordinary clothes so as not to attract attention.

On his way, he thought about what the legendary flaming bird Shura had told him about his other half.

Ivan: I will definitely find him. (He looked serious.)

He entered a neutral city between the Kingdom of Union, the Empire of Oriana, and the Kingdom of Belgrade. This city was the designated location by an agreement made during the reign of the first emperor of the Kingdom of Union, Aizen Yamamoto. He walked through it until he spotted the Adventurers Guild, a very famous guild called the Red Ravens Guild.

He went inside.

He spoke to the guild master, saying, "Are these parts sold here?"

The master replied, "Yes, they are sold, but they are rare, so I will inform the boss. Please wait." (He thought to himself, "How will this boy get them?") Some troublesome adventurers entered, boasting about their exploits in the dungeon they had entered. They exchanged laughs. They asked the host to bring them food and drink, and began eating and drinking, causing a disturbance in the guild, while everyone else stood by helplessly. Ivan paid no attention, knowing full well that silence and inaction were essential for him to continue on his path.

The situation worsened as they began to quarrel and fight. In a moment of regal splendor, Ivan felt the power of a mysterious figure seated, surrounded by a terrifying, formidable aura.

Ivan: (Looking astonished) What destructive power!

Meanwhile, before anyone could notice, in the blink of an eye, all those adventurers were wiped out. Their leader, his face sweating, asked, "What happened?"

He began searching for the culprit, angrily demanding, "Who dares?"

At that moment, a figure appeared before him and defeated him, saying, "Pitiful." The Adventurers' Leader: This can't be... You're the one who... (He fainted.)

Then they were taken to prison by the guards of the Kingdom of Amedonia.

Ivan thought to himself: Another person's aura, what kind of mysterious power is this?

Another person replied: "You get angry easily, as usual, Matsuo."

Everyone in the guild was shocked upon hearing the name. One adventurer said: "This is the dream of one of the Holy Heroes here, impossible!"

Another adventurer replied: "Holy Heroes here? Impossible." Matsuo said: "How annoying."

The two appeared with grandeur, and their profiles were as follows: The first was Matsuo Kagino, one of the Holy Heroes, a powerful swordsman who possesses two types of magic: red smoke and white smoke.

The second was Ai Miyamoto, an elite and powerful swordsman, one of the strongest swordsmen in the world, who also possesses purple spirit magic.

Ivan was surprised by their presence, saying: Holy Heroes! What? Calm down, Yashinto (the sword began to react with an aura to her sword).

 Ai said, "Let's go, Matsuo."

They headed toward the guild leader's room.

Matsuo and Ai sat down in front of the guild leader to discuss whether they had noticed any strange monsters near the village. Ai asked, "Have you noticed any strange monsters in this area?"

"No, we haven't," the leader replied. "But are they dangerous?"

Matsuo responded, "Listen, these aren't easy monsters. You need to warn everyone in this guild about them. Understand?" Matsuo's expression was serious.

"Yes," the leader replied.

Ivan took the money he had paid for the items he had sold to the guild and prepared to leave,

saying, "It's time to go."

In a moment of regal grandeur,

Ai Miyamoto appeared before him, saying, "Young man, you're not from around here. What are you doing in the guild? How old are you?"

"Fourteen," Ivan replied. Ai looked surprised and said, "Interesting (he seems to have trained rigorously, judging by his posture and composure). You must be careful; there are very powerful monsters in Dimas." She placed her hand on his head as she looked at him. "You can't hide your sword from me; it reacts to mine."

Ivan replied, "You noticed that."

Ai: "Swords can't ignore each other, young man."

Matsuyo laughed and said, "You're not bad, young man. Your sword interacting with Ai's is quite rare, and we noticed you sitting quietly, not surprised to see us. What's your name?"

Ivan replied seriously, "Ivan."

At that moment, Ivan turned and left without a word. Ai said to Matsuyo, "He seems like an interesting boy, doesn't he?"

Matsuyo smiled. "Indeed, from his posture and calmness, he seems to have overcome many difficulties on his own."

Ai replied, "Well, let's go back now. Perhaps we'll see him again someday."

Matsuyo: "I see you liked him."

Ai: "He's unique in his physique, and also (she smiles) I'm glad he's a swordsman with a promising future. Then perhaps I'll face him." After Ivan moved away from them, he thought to himself, "What keen observation! Not uncommon among the Holy Heroes. You were right, old man, they are truly on another level." Their overwhelming magical aura made the place feel like hell itself.

A while later, Ivan walked towards a path when he sensed a strange and powerful presence. He said, "This magical power isn't like that of the Holy Heroes." Then, the savage Golben goblins appeared before him.

Ivan: Golben goblins? How did they appear?

They attacked him, and he began to kill them calmly. He didn't use his true form because he felt someone was following him. "Why don't you come out?" Ivan said seriously.

The unknown figure appeared and killed all the savage Golben goblins. Then, calmly, he appeared and said, "As expected of the heir of the legendary swordsman, Jinmoto." He began clapping his hands.

"Who are you?" Ivan asked sharply.

Then, his assistant came out and said, "Behave yourself before the Emperor, boy." Yes, the unknown figure is the Emperor of the Union Kingdom, to Ivan's astonishment.

"Interesting," Ivan said. "What is the Emperor of the Union Kingdom doing here?"

Emperor Ryohei Yamamoto:

"We must talk somewhere else," the Emperor replied.

But Ivan retorted, "I refuse! I don't know you, and I don't trust anyone." He grasped his sword, preparing himself, his gaze serious.

"So be it," the Emperor's aide said. "I will fight you."

"That's enough, Ritsu. Don't worry, Ivan. Gin has instructed me to meet you. Here, take this letter from Gin."

Ivan took the letter and verified its authenticity, saying, "Very well. What do you want now?"

"I want you to join the elite Tankio Academy of the Union Kingdom," the Emperor replied.

"I refuse!" Ivan said. "I don't like having my freedom restricted." The Emperor smiled and said, "I expected your response, but Jin has already agreed." (Ryohei recalls his conversation with Jin.)

Ryohei: Jin, the incident that occurred on God Mountain...

That person was sent to investigate it.

Jin (with a majestic look): So they've started to take action.

Ryohei: That's right. They're scrutinizing every detail.

We see a short flashback of Ryohei speaking with someone.

Person: Have you found any new evidence, Ryohei?

Ryohei: No, we haven't yet.

Person: Ryohei Yamamoto, I advise you not to hide anything. If you know something, say it.

Ryohei: No, you already have all the information. But it's rare for a Heavenly Angel soldier to come down and investigate this matter.

Person: Don't interfere in matters that don't concern you, Ryohei. I advise you to follow orders.

The scene returns to Jin saying: I understand. It seems they are searching for the family with all their might.

Ryohei: That's right. So you must keep all information about them secret. Gin: I have entrusted all my will to him. (Ivan) is the one who will carry on the legacy after me.

Ryohei: Betting on a fourteen-year-old is madness, Gin.

Gin: This is fate, no, this is his destiny.

Ryohei: Your bet on him was right. He is truly the boy of prophecy. Don't worry, I will take care of him, my friend Gin.

Ryohei: What is your answer, boy?

Ivan thought to himself: "(That cunning old man (referring to Gin), planned all of this during my training.)" Then Ivan said, "Agreed, I have conditions." The Emperor asked, "What are they?" Ivan replied, "First, the title 'Moto' must not be mentioned in any kingdom of Union. That would be truly troublesome. Second, I don't like being ordered around, but carrying out a mission is fine." Third, and most importantly, if I ever want to leave, I don't want to be stopped." The Emperor smiled and thought to himself, "(Jin, I've trained a rather interesting boy. Even the Holy Heroes weren't afraid of him or trembled before him.)"

"Very well, you have my word," the Emperor said.

Then the Emperor departed, leaving his aide Ritsu and Ivan behind.

"Don't misunderstand me," Ritsu said. "I am the Emperor's aide, and I must fulfill my duty."

"That doesn't matter," Ivan replied. "But my question is: what are the Tankio Academy and the Kingdom of Union like?"

"Don't worry," Ritsu answered. "You'll find out everything." "And now, we must go." Retsu, the Emperor's aide, and Ivan set off for the Kingdom of Union. Along the way, they walked and talked. Retsu thought to himself: "What a calm and composed boy, just as one would expect from his heir." They arrived, and the beautiful and distinctive Kingdom of Union came into view. Ivan thought to himself: "Union, then!" Meanwhile, on the borders of several other kingdoms, many dumas began to appear one after another. On the border between the Kingdom of Union and the Kingdom of Amedonia, the First Division, along with its commander, was poised to enter.
