Chapter 14 - A farewell

Vincent talked to both Nightingale and Mordred. He figured how he must have lived two different lives. As he remembers it vividly how he loved Nightingale without ever meeting Mordred in that life. Same goes for Mordred, whom he was a father to.

If he thinks about it, he really never expected himself to be a father, he knew he was a father of not just one, he had another child a daughter at that. but her face was blurry, same with the wife of his and other women it seemed.

"It really doesn't ring a bell father?"

"Unfortunately no."

His words were laced with disappointment. He wished to remember as his heart ache for that reason to not still remember.

"It's fine father, you remembering me means a lot to me."

Vincent smiled, but then he remembered certain people who were part of his life, this life.

"It's funny even though you're my daughter I have my own parents in this life."

He already figured this life of his being a reincarnation and was already attached to those two. His own mom and pops, he wasn't going to let them suffer.

"Grandpa and Grandma...."

Mordred murmured to herself as she thought about it.

"I'll have to ready myself for my in-laws."

Nightingale mind reeled back in what Vincent just said. A little happy smile tug on the edge of her mouth. She definitely would love to claim herself as his wife.

"We'll help you find them!"

Mordred patted her chest, she was all excited to help her father.

"Thank you two, now since it's my first time in this city it will take some time finding them."

Vincent roamed the city streets, life buzzled everywhere. It was different more on the city wide scale. As he compared in his mind how small his town was but he knew most people there. Here it was brand new faces. Seeing stalls of food, merchants selling their goods. Guardsmen patrolling but not just them he saw more Adeptus Arbites. They were the police here, and since it's a city.

Their presence is more required than guardsmen who guard the outer walls of this city. Vincent had been clenching his hands back and forth. he felt a different in his body, like he was stronger than before.

What the bear never told the girls. Was that even though he becomes stronger with every kiss, he also unlocks his strength and powers he had in that life of whoever kisses him. Only partial as the only way to unlock it was to have to accomplish the same condition the bear placed on the women to unlock their full power.

Sex

In a fucked up universe like this, the bear didn't care it made sex the answer to achieving their power back. Now it was how they would continuously do it when danger will arise in just a few minutes. Sad to say that it couldn't be talked about. The bear also restricted them from revealing to Vincent of how sex can make them regain their former self.

"Darling we still have more time to search."

Hours of searching they yet to find any hints on his parents. Mordred and Nightingale glued to his side, enjoying being by his side once again. Though soon their time was up.

"Hey!"

"??"

The three turned to a quite shady guy. Waving at them, as he was a stall merchant. He had lots of fruits to sell. That say he wasn't not just a mere fruit merchant.

"Sir and his beauties, you look like you're in need of help."

Confused Vincent look at the young man up and down.

"If i'm? Then what."

"I'm not much of a fruit selling guy, but i'm someone who finds things for a nice buck."

Vincent get what he meant, his mannerism already hinted at him that this young man was a intel seller. Something he needed, if he can pay him that is.

"Unfortunately, I don't have much money, what are your "prices" here."

As he grabbed an apple, looking at it if he was interested. Mordred watched him like a hawk, making the young man quite uneasy. A little pressure he felt but he still smiled. Nightingale also watched with with a emotionless look.

They talked it out, and Vincent wasn't displeased but he still needed to make money. Though he felt tired knowing they searched as far and wide as they could.

In the room, he was laying down trying to figure stuff out. As the door slowly opened. Nightingale walked in, as she looked at him with eyes full of love.

"Nightingale..."

"Darling hold me please."

He heard the longing in her voice, he knew how much he put her through.

"Holding you is always nice."

"If feels better for me Darling...."

He smiled, as she gazed to his eyes. Only for their faces to inch closer and their lips soon seize each other into a passionate kiss. Which lasted a few minutes leaving them out of breath from the long lost touch they haven't felt of each other.

"Let us sleep together."

Vincent agreed, sleeping together was just a normal thing when they became a thing back in that life.

He hugged her close to is body, as Nightingale smiled but a flash of sadness flashed across her face. Her hands holds his shirt tightly. She didn't want to be separated but it was about to be time.

He didn't catch that, as he stroked her head soon enough they fell asleep.

But as hours passed, Mordred sneaked into the room. She saw Nightingale and her father sleeping together. She blushed but felt jealous, also bit her lip when she thought that she was leaving in just a few minutes.

She snuck slowly and snuggled behind his back. The bed luckily was wide enough to accommodate 3 people. She wanted to talk to him more, but sleep took her. Since she was now normal and not a heroic spirit.

Sleep was a thing, Vincent slowly opened his eyes, he saw hair belonging to Nightingale. Then felt something press against him.

It wasn't just something, it was someone and the only one he can think of.

"Mordred?"

"...Father"

He could already see it, her blushing face. He smiled and knew how she used to always want to be pampered even when she acted like a shy girl.

He turned to see Mordred eyes glistening.

"Sleep some more."

He was still tired, but he stroked her head lovingly. Mordred trembled, she closed her eyes in bliss, but bit her lip again. As she soon saw her father go to sleep. When she saw him truly bee deep in sleep.

She edge closer to his face and kissed him on the lips. Her head backed away, she felt her heart beat faster.

"I want to be with you longer father."

She cried silently as Nightingale woke up from not being hugged. She heard the soft sniffles on the bed. She sat up and saw Mordred in her vulnerable state.

"You really love him."

Before Mordred to say something, their bodies glowed and soon they left the world. As they appeared in their respective areas.

One by herself watching Vincent's sleeping face. While the other were cheering the girl up.
