Chapter 27 - Richard

Jonathan, who was not yet close with Sifa or Zee, immediately rejected Heri's invitation. He pulled his hand from Heri's grip and dropped back onto the sofa, his expression stubborn.

"You're no fun, Jo," Heri protested with a pout. He and Sifa returned to the center of the room, continuing their rhythm with a hint of irritation.

Zee, feeling her energy drained and needing a break, decided to stop dancing. She walked slowly and took a seat on the sofa, right next to Jonathan.

Silence enveloped the sofa area, contrasting sharply with the loud dangdut music still playing.

"Hi," Zee greeted softly, feeling awkward. She leaned back, trying to appear relaxed.

"Hi," Jonathan replied curtly. His gaze was distant, and he seemed unwilling to start a conversation or even look at Zee.

Zee sighed and looked at the glass in front of Jonathan. She reached for the bottle and poured a drink into her own glass.
