Chapter 21 - Chapter 21: What we are

Broko and Nina

The confrontation didn't happen immediately.

Broko waited.

That was the first thing Nina noticed.

He didn't rage at her .

Didn't interrogate the twins.

Didn't summon the elders or engineers.

He waited until the island slept.

The twins were with Razhik, the old Saiyan engineer, grumbling, irritated, but secretly fond of the "little disasters." Razhik had been ordered to keep them busy, contained, and away from any satellites.

Broko stood at the cliff edge overlooking the black ocean when Nina joined him.

"So, You felt it," she said.

"Yeah, I did ."

Silence stretched.

Then, calmly firm but not cold

Broko spoke.

"They almost killed humans ."

Nina didn't flinch.

"They reacted normally ," she replied. "Instinctively."

Broko turned to her, eyes sharp but not angry.

"They wanted the bear."

"They claimed the bear," Nina corrected. "Like saiyan cubs do."

He exhaled slowly.

"This world won't see it that way."

Nina finally turned, walking up to him and pushing up against him with her chest meeting his gaze head-on.

"Broko! ," she said quietly, dangerously calm,

"we are evil Saiyans not domestic weaklings."

That stopped him.

"Our children are exactly like us, especially your stubborn personality," she continued, voice steady, "except they were born stronger, earlier, and act without hesitation."

She got closer to his lower face.

"You taught me that restraint is learned after dominance. Not before."

Broko's jaw tightened each word hitting harder than her punches .

She wasn't defying him.

She was quoting him word for word .

"They didn't enjoy it though ," she added. "They responded."

Silence.

Then Broko nodded once.

" Fine, You're right."

The tension broke into comfort, but into clarity.

"They'll need discipline earlier than we did," he said. "Structure. Control."

Nina smiled .

"They'll have it."

....

The Faction – What Remains

The Saiyan faction was small.

But it was no longer fragile.

Razhik – Chief Engineer

Once a low-class technician on Planet Vegeta, Razhik survived by being useful. Over decades, he rebuilt Saiyan tech from memory and innovation, gravity chambers adapted to alien physics, ki-amplifying alloys, and suppression fields capable of hiding infant power levels that would terrify gods.

He had lost his mate to Frieza's purges.

Now he built so others wouldn't

Karnel – Scientist-Matron

An older female Saiyan with a scarred face and ruthless intellect. Karnel specialized in Saiyan biology—Zenkai thresholds, hybrid ki patterns, genetic stability .

She had children.

They were dead, suicide missions .

So she treated Bala and Tehm like weapons that must survive.

Tharek – Tactical Commander

Once an elite squad leader under Cooler's banner. Tharek defected after witnessing Frieza's manipulations firsthand.

He married another survivor.

They had a daughter.

He trained her with joy and fear....

Veska – Logistics and Off-World Recon

Veska learned alien languages faster than most Saiyans learned rage. She handled trade, theft, and infiltration.

Her mate was human.

Her child was neither weak nor extremely intelligent .

She didn't care to apologize for anything .

End of Flashback

They had grown.

Not into conquerors.

Into survivors with teeth.

Batman Moves

Nina didn't sense him at first.

That was the problem.

She and Karnel were inside a repurposed warehouse food, fabric, medical supplies. All stolen cleanly, quietly, without casualties.

Batman waited until Nina was alone.

Smoke.

EMP.

Null-field grenades.

Clean. Efficient.

"Don't move," he said from the shadows.

Nina sighed.

"You should've brought more people you know ."

Batman triggered the next phase.

Nothing happened.

She turned slowly.

"You're clever," she said, amused. "But your toys assume fear."

She stepped forward.

Batman vanished.

Smoke again.

The double Flash-bang.

Nina didn't pursue.

She simply stood there, aura restrained but coiled.

"I'm not the one you need to worry about," she said calmly.

Batman retreated.

Not defeated.

But informed.

The Twins

Razhik sat with Bala and Tehm inside the base, arms crossed all grumpy and shit .

"Your father said babysit," he growled. "That does not mean destroy my precious lab."

Bala giggled, spinning in a circle before stopping then start jumping around .

Tehm floated a wrench then crushing it on instinct .

Razhik sighed.

"Just like him, too much energy to sit still ."

Broko Trains

Far from the island.

Deep underground.

Broko trained.

Not by fighting.

By holding the form.

Evil Super Saiyan compressed inward, stacked atop compressed Great Ape, every instinct screaming to release, to dominate.

He remembered the old footage.

A low-class Saiyan standing still, shaking, mastering rage.

Broko didn't scream.

He endured.

...

The world was circling.

Batman was planning.

The twins were growing.

And Broko steadier, colder, more focused was becoming something no one could easily stop
