Chapter 22 - He Could Entrust His Very Life to Louis

From the split down the top of its head, rows of fangs had now grown out, rising and falling ceaselessly with the beast's breathing. It was enormous, nearly two meters tall and more than three meters long. This form clearly pleased the one who had created it.

"Clap, clap, clap."

Light applause rang out, followed by a soft chuckle. "Truly powerful. This is the strength I was hoping for."

Looking back, one could see a man seated atop a small hill piled up from dry bones and mangled flesh. Fresh blood soaked everything around him, and yet he seemed to enjoy it immensely.

He had long black hair, his clothes were somewhat disheveled, and a pair of dark red eyes gleamed from behind his bangs, staring excitedly at the masterpiece he had spent so much time on, after countless failures, to finally complete.

Thinking of those failed products, his gaze flickered slightly. He recalled what he had seen that day.
