How strong is an adventurer from Konosuba, really?
To truly grasp the power of someone capable of facing giant toads the size of enormous bulls, Jin thought about learning new skills.
Upon arriving in the Jujutsu Kaisen universe, the former office worker had five skill points on his guild card.
Knowing that an ordinary skill cost one point, Jin decided to invest his points into five seemingly ordinary skills.
A somewhat hasty decision?
Perhaps...
But Jin had no real personal strength. This led him to the conclusion that he needed to invest a little in himself.
It was simply necessary for the time being.
These five skills could all be summed up in two words: very practical.
Take, for example, the current skill Jin was using against the cursed spirit.
One-Handed Sword.
As the name suggested, it improved mastery with one-handed swords.
The skill was mundane, but combined with online tutorials and regular visits to a dojo, it allowed him to face a monster without shame.
"KILL!!!" roared the cursed spirit upon spotting the short katana that had appeared out of nowhere in Jin's hand.
Jin dodged the tail strike.
'I need to close the distance, but my speed skill isn't suited for combat,' he thought while slashing at the beast.
Cursed energy roared as Chunchunmaru sliced through the scales that looked solid like butter under a white-hot blade.
The counterattack struck the cursed spirit grievously, but Jin didn't revel in it.
On the contrary, he immediately retreated on reflex, activating a skill.
Flee.
It was the first truly practical skill Jin had learned after deciding to invest in useful abilities.
It allowed its user to slip away quickly.
Thus, it wasn't designed to increase Jin's natural speed in combat. Its purpose was simple: escape.
Jin used it to rapidly exit the impact zone of an attack, as it temporarily boosted his movement speed.
The effect was incredible and could even stack with physical reinforcement through cursed energy.
A highly effective combination.
"D-die!" roared the cursed spirit as it hurled debris and charged at an abnormal speed for its size.
Due to his lack of real combat experience, Jin froze for a brief moment in the face of the frenzied beast.
He realized too late that the wound inflicted by Chunchunmaru had been far too effective.
The creature's eyes gleamed with malice as it viciously bit into Jin's arm before dragging him through a wall.
Jin spat a mouthful of blood from the impact of his body against the haunted house's wall, but the pain allowed him to regain control of his mind.
Immediately, Jin felt something being injected into him by the cursed spirit. However, he didn't worry about it.
He brandished Chunchunmaru once more and brought it down on the beast.
"Grrr..." growled the creature.
It tried to shake Jin off, but he drove Chunchunmaru deeper into its eye by channeling a more intense surge of cursed energy.
Jin didn't know the biology of cursed spirits, but he hoped his short katana would reach the evil entity's neural system.
Blood stained his clothes during the fierce struggle between him and the cursed spirit, which remained clamped onto his arm.
'The Poison Resistance skill isn't total immunity?' he thought as his vision began to blur.
Even so, Jin refused to let go.
He poured every last drop of his cursed energy into Chunchunmaru before striking the cursed spirit's head repeatedly.
If a third party had witnessed the scene, they would never have imagined that the berserker fighting the massive serpent was the gentle Jin Itadori.
Yet... it was indeed him.
In that moment, he displayed a side that Yuji Itadori would later inherit: the determination of an Itadori family member.
"Damn it!! Die, you bastard!" After that roar, a small cracking sound rang out.
The noise likely came from the cursed spirit's skull, which clung desperately to Jin.
After about ten minutes of silence, Jin pushed the cursed spirit's carcass away.
He had won.
"Tch... I'm going to need a credible excuse," he muttered while observing the residual cursed energy around his wounds.
There was no way he could go home in this state.
Kaori didn't suspect him yet, but it would be difficult to come up with a logical explanation for such injuries.
"I really hope this battle was worth it," he murmured while pulling out his guild card.

"Well... I leveled up, but I was expecting more," he sighed while struggling to get up from the ground.
Even though the cursed spirit had been formidable, it was nothing compared to what Yuji would face in the future.
Jin even recalled that there were far more dangerous creatures in the beginner adventurer city of Kazuma Sato's world.
Thus, he concluded that his greed had clouded his rational judgment.
...
Jin applied bandages to his wounds before sending a message to Kaori.
He informed his wife that his grandfather needed him.
Therefore, he wouldn't be coming home.
Unfortunately for Jin, he failed to notice a silhouette hidden in the darkness.
Kenjaku.
Kaori glanced at her phone before flashing a fake smile.
However, her eyes clearly weren't in a good mood.
"I was wondering why he comes home later and later... but I didn't expect this kind of 'deception'," she said, placing a finger on her slightly moist lip in a pensive pose.
'A spatial-type cursed technique? It's really convenient, but... he clearly can't use it to its full potential,' Kenjaku analyzed while observing Jin's back.
During the life-or-death struggle between Jin and the monster, Kenjaku had considered intervening.
However, she stopped halfway.
Why such hesitation when her husband was clearly in danger?
It all boiled down to one word: curiosity.
Kenjaku was curious about this unknown side of her husband.
She wanted to see what Jin was capable of, beyond his role as the perfect spouse.
"Hm~ I hope he'll show me that wild side of his personality one day," she murmured while leaving the scene.
Surprisingly, the vacant eyes she tried to hide behind her fake smile now shone with interest.
From that night onward, Kenjaku no longer feigned her interest in Jin Itadori.
She became more intrigued by Jin—not only because of his connection to Sukuna's reincarnated brother, but for his own sake.
And so, time passed quickly.
Until the day Yaga was captured by Toji.
