Chapter 1 - CHAPTER 1

It is the unsaid wonder and judgment in their eyes as I flew by. A fully grown woman running down the street like all hell had broken loose, with a bag full of whatever women buy at stores. My Shoes in my hands instead of now sore feet from running barefoot on a concrete. It wasn't entirely my fault even as bystanders looked at me like I had grown another head. I pushed myself to my limit as I rounded the corner, I ran as first as I could my footsteps echoing loudly across the street. My heart beat erratically against my rib cage. I was panting loudly with every agonizing step I took. My legs pushed me to ran harder but my chest said otherwise as it burned painfully.

"Lord? Why did I always have a hot mouth?"

If I had kept my mouth shut, I probably won't be running like a mad woman with my heavy bag full of shopping I had gone to pick from the store.

I just had to open my big mouth and speak back to that rusty annoying, uncivilized group of bullies who didn't know how to respect people and their moods. I was in a pretty bad enough mood and they just had to provoke me and well they deserved me calling them noisy cunts. 'Bad move Narla', I thought to myself.

My chest heaved and burned terribly. I was almost tempted to regret, almost. But my mood wouldn't allow me to regret it. I was too engrossed in my thoughts as I looked back to see my pursuers forgetting to watch where I was heading. Suddenly I bumped into a wall and went flying back sitting on my ass with a thud.

"Fuck walls" I said looking up and gasped

I had just run into a man. A tall well built man with a dark cloak covering him head to toe. The impact did not shake him an inch as he stood tall and still. I could see his face but he looked perfect like some drawing standing there.

"I'm so sorry I wasn't... "

I was cut off, rudely if may I add as the cunts footsteps finally registered as they rounded the corner and the biggest yelled.

"Catch her!" I jumped to my feet and behind my cloaked wall, the stranger, on instinct.

He didn't move a muscle and I was almost tempted to think it was a stature with a cloak were it not that I mastered this street like the back of my hands and not even one tiny stature was engraved in any corner.

They surrounded us. All the nine of them and they looked angrier than me on my periods. The biggest stood forward, his dyed red hair reflected and shone brightly in the dim light from the street lamp across the street. His dark brown eyes which were now dark with anger glared daggers at me and I sank deeper behind this statured man. I almost begged him internally to have mercy on me. Because if he didn't my ass would be handed to me. And if he did both of our asses would be whopped but not as bad as my helpless self.

"Step out of the way dude, don't get involved in what you don't know!" Red hair demanded and tried to look intimidating as he approached even though he was shorter.

He didn't move a muscle and that seemed to anger red hair, who in turn threw a punch at stature'. Everything happened in a flash as statues' dark clad hand shot out almost too fast and held red hairs' hand midway and a sickening crunch followed. He was then sent flying some twenty feet before landing with another sickening thud. The others cursed and backed away slowly before running away dragging their injured leader with them. My mouth went dry and my jaws hung loose as I witnessed the crazed scene like a movie, the kinda movies that leave you scared but amazed. I could have done one of my secret happy dances if I wasn't stuck speechless.

What just happened? I turned around to say thank you but stature man was already disappearing across the block.

"Wait!" I yelled as I ran after him but he didn't stop.

"Damn it "I cursed as I ran faster after him.
