Chapter 14 - Whirlpool Empire cap 14

The room was completely silent.

The 10 elders of the Uzumaki clan witnessed the battle and were speechless.

Although the battlefield projection showed an empty area after the battle ended, none of the elders present showed any signs of moving.

"... Amazing," someone finally said, pulling the other elders from their thoughts.

"I didn't know the patriarch was so strong," said the seventh elder, the agriculture minister of the whirlpool country.

"Is that the strength of a Shinobi God?" another asked, and the others nodded even though none of them had seen the battles between Hashirama Senju and Madara Uchiha with their own eyes.

According to what is known, the battles between Hashirama and Madara modified the geography of the place, something that was possible for the patriarch with his displayed strength.

"Hooray! The clan is safe!" shouted the fifth elder as he stood up and raised his hands.

"With the patriarch present, the Uzumaki clan will prosper."

"Now no one can underestimate the Uzumaki clan"

Everyone now wore happy expressions, very different from the worried looks they had previously.

"It's good that you're happy, but don't get too comfortable," Gin said suddenly as she appeared behind them.

"Lord Patriarch!" they all shouted when they saw him.

When they looked at Gin, they had looks of adoration as if they were seeing a God for the first time.

Seeing the way they were looking at him reminded Gin of the first time they saw him after he took control of them.

By altering their minds to be loyal to him, they all wore adoring looks and only changed after several attempts by Gin himself. It would be highly suspicious if the clan elders acted like obedient servants to him.

In this way, Gin was able to catch many who wanted to act against him when they contacted any of the elders to gain power and fight against him.

"Lord Patriarch, with you present, the Uzumaki clan will be revered and feared in all the elemental nations," said the first elder with a smile from ear to ear.

The other elders nodded in agreement and shared the same opinion.

Seeing the joy of the elderly people in front of him, Gin could only smile and shake his head.

I let them laugh and celebrate a little for a few minutes before talking again.

"Relax"

"While I currently have no opponents in the world, that doesn't mean it will always be that way."

"Four of the five main villages joined forces to destroy our clan and steal our knowledge."

"Not to mention what they would do to the survivors"

"If any Uzumakis are captured by them, they will only become breeding machines to improve the forces of these villages."

"What I'm trying to say is that this probably won't be the only time they decide to target us."

"If many years later I am no longer here to protect the clan, or if in a few years someone stronger than me appears, it will be a catastrophe for the Uzumaki clan."

"We must be vigilant and prepare for the future."

Listening to the patriarch's words, the 10 elders stopped smiling and showed a dignified look.

Thinking about what would have happened if the patriarch had not been present, everyone had cold sweats on their foreheads because of the misfortune that the Uzumaki clan would have suffered.

"Second old man, third old man," said Gin, and the two old men looked up.

"They will increase army training and inland defense in preparation for future conflicts."

"Yes," both elderly people nodded, accepting the order.

"sixth elder"

The education minister raised his gaze further and awaited her orders.

"You will modify the education system to produce more soldiers"

"Yeah!"

"tenth elder"

"doubles the number of spies abroad"

"I want to know all the details of the upcoming war and a detailed report of the forces and resources of all villages and countries."

"Yes!" replied the tenth elder.

"That's all for now"

"Let me know if anything happens," Gin said before disappearing from everyone's sight.

The 10 elders could only remain impressed by the patriarch's strength.

They could not speak aloud to the four winds, but the patriarch was their teacher, and they worshipped his strength even more.

Each of them was a kage-level shinobi, but even so, they couldn't even follow the patriarch's residual image when he left.

While the 10 elders went to spread the news throughout the clan and allay everyone's worries about the upcoming war, spies from other countries and villages traveled at full speed back to the continent.

The previous plan of the shinobi from the 4 villages was to return in large ships with the rest of the army after the victory, but with what happened that plan was not going to work.

Because they had no ships, they could only rest on small islands for a while before continuing their journey.

In comparison to them, spies from other countries or villages that did not participate in the battle, such as the hidden blade, had ships that could travel without stopping.

Furthermore, they could take turns using Ninjutsu to increase the ship's speed, so it only took a few hours to return to the mainland.

After setting foot on solid ground, while the others looked after the ship and other things, one of them quickly moved to a nearby base to have the information sent back quickly.

In this way, little by little, information about the 'battle on the shores of the whirlpool' reached the hands of village leaders and Daimyos.

"I can't believe you're not worried about your clan, Grandma," Tsunade said while eating in front of Mito Uzumaki.

"Honey, there's nothing I should worry about," Miro said with a smile, to which Tsunade could only sigh and continue eating.

"What are you talking about, big sister?"

The voice that asked what was happening belonged to a 10-year-old boy who was with Mito.

The boy was Nawaki Senju, brother of Tsunade and grandson of Mito Uzumaki and Senju Hashirama.

Tsunade saw her younger brother and turned her gaze towards her grandmother to ask her opinion about Nawaki knowing what was happening.

Although Nawaki was too young to worry about this, many children his age fought in wars, so Tsunade was only concerned that Nawaki might try to do something beyond his strength.

Seeing Tsunade's expression, Mito understood and nodded in agreement.

With her grandmother's permission, Tsunade told her what was happening and what she thought. Nawaki quickly stood up and exclaimed about the injustice against the Uzumaki clan.

"Silence Nawaki, don't make noise while you eat," Mito admonished, and Nawaki lowered her voice.

"Grandmother, we must help your clan"

"Uncle Hiruzen is the Hokage"

"He can do something"

Nawaki lowered her voice and shared her thoughts, but Mito still shook her head.

"Grandmother…"

"Nawaki, sensei can't do anything," Tsunade said with a frown, and told Nawaki what the Third Hokage had said when he was at the mansion a few days ago.

Aside from being on alert at the country's borders, they wouldn't have enough shinobi and time to go and help the Uzumaki clan.

While listening to what his sister was saying, Nawakio remained silent and lost in his thoughts.

But no matter how much he thought about it, the boy couldn't think of anything to help, and that frustrated him.

Seeing her grandson's behavior, Mito could only sigh with a smile.

For now, the conflict between the 4 main villages and the Uzumaki clan must be happening.

In Mito's mind, he wondered how long this battle would last.

If the army of the whirlpool country is the one fighting, they should finish after half a day to a day.

But he's the patriarch…

In Mito's opinion, if the Uzumaki patriarch decided to act, the battle should have already ended.

Looking up, Mito saw in the direction of the chakra signature that she felt approaching.

Toc Toc Toc

Less than a minute after sensing that chakra signature, the three heard a servant calling and Mito gave permission for him to enter.

"Lady Mito, Miss Tsunade, young Nawaki," a maid greeted after opening the paper door and continued.

"Lady Mito, Miss Tsunade, an ANBU member is waiting outside. He said the Hokage urgently requests your presence."

Listening to the maid, Tsunade raised her eyebrows in concern.

'Didn't the Uzumaki clan succeed?' Tsunade thought and looked worriedly at her grandmother.

"Okay, tell him I'll finish eating in a few minutes and head to the Hokage Tower," Mito said as she grabbed a piece of meat and put it in her mouth.

But to Tsunade's confusion, her grandmother continued to wear a calm smile on her face as she ate a few bites without a care in the world.
