"Absolutely not," Nikki declared, staring at her reflection in the full-length mirror.
She looked like a grape. A very warm, very well-insulated grape. Adonis had layered her in thermal leggings, a thick pair of sweatpants, two sweaters, and a puffer coat that was so puffy she couldn't actually lower her arms to her sides.
It was not like they were in winter for her to need them.
They were in summer!
"This is efficient," Adonis argued, standing behind her with a scarf in his hands, ready to add another layer. "The ambient temperature outside has dropped to 14 degrees. Your biological status—specifically requires warmth to minimize cramping."
"Adonis," Nikki sighed, waddling around to face him. "I look like a bear. A grizzly bear that ate another bear. I can't walk in this! I'll roll down the street!"
Adonis tilted his head, his blue eyes scanning the layers. The [Heart Protocol] bar above his head flickered a stubborn GRAY.
