Chapter 1 - chapter1: The Unexpected.

Between the 1800s-1900s, in the Yellow lands, lives a young woman who born with both marks of two clans, clans that are very respected, clans that are as old as the trees of the forest and the water of the rivers, and so wealthy that both are considered as the nobles clans.

Her long blue hair was so dark as a cloudless night skies, and her eyes so blue like a sapphire, that would shine under the moonlight.

Her name is Amethyst Owlheart Orchids, the proof of an alliance between the Orchids clan, an noble clan that not only craft and sell cosmetics but also are full of artisans, doctors with a vast knowledge and intelligence; and the Owlheart clan, an also noble clan that not only have blacksmiths and warriors but also possessing the martial arts knowledge and artist.

Each clan has their own mark, being the Orchids a peacock with an orchid on its head; the Owlheart being of an owl phoenix.

Being born with the clans mark each side of her neck, Amethyst is a 19 year old young woman who lives in the forest close to a village, in the day was a normal busy village while at night turns into the Red Light District, where many people frequently have fun, drinks, or just to pass time.

She's an artisan with experience in medicine and science, which led her to the professions of scientist and a doctor, but she also has the profession of a apothecary, with many night-houses and bars calling and summoning Amethyst for her apothecary services to approve if a product didn't come adulterated, with any disease or/and poison, rotten, out of validation or harmful to health. She loves that work and does it with delight and joy, because not only she loves to do tests on others but also loves to do tests on herself as well.

***

Amethyst was walking on the streets of the Red Light District holding a wood box, going to do a delivery on one of the night-houses from there. Even if Amethyst tries to be discreet, the way she carries herself, her icy presence, striking hair and shiny eyes would already report her.

Many people know her by her services and professions, some with curious gazes on the content of the box, others with delight by her presence itself, but many, with fear gazes.

Just her coldly serious and stern face, piercing eyes, would already make people shiver. It was not her raw honesty, her lack of fear to use violence when she feels to or is necessary, that was what people feared her the most, but of what this young woman can't do.

No one, except her clans, knows anything or any type of personal information about her, the only thing the citizens know about openly is her professions and that she's a young woman, but the fear of asking, of approaching and receiving a cold distant answer was too much to even try.

***

Amethyst arrives at where she has to deliver the wood box, the Esmeralda Castle, a night-house whose common clients are nobles and wealthy men, with their high prices, of course, always giving high quality attendance.

The guards of the entrance felt the goosebumps when a certain icy presence approached the night-house entrance, already knowing who was.

They look down, their eyes locking with the blue-purple eyes of Amethyst before they change their gaze direction to the floor.

"Oh, good evening, Miss of the flowers." Greet the first guard. "It's good to see you again. I assume that you bring—" He gets cut when suddenly a blonde hair, lemon-green eyes guy appears running from the establishment. He stops in front of Amethyst, panting and leaning into his knees catching some breath.

"Miss... Miss of the flowers...!" He pants, still catching his breath before standing properly. "Miss! Long time no see. Your presence always full of products and concoctions when in our establishment."

"Long time no see you too, my friend Sume."

She simply responded, her voice actually being deep and smooth. By the way she responded with a faint casualness, it seems that they have been friends for a very long time.

--((Amethyst's pov))--

I gave the box to Sumi, only releasing when I was sure that the box was being held appropriately.

"Hm, the box is more heavy, this means there's more concoctions than usual." He muttered to himself. "Oh! And don't worry, I will add more to the payment because of the apothecary services from yesterday. Let's go inside." He gestures with his head towards the entrance, starting to walk.

I follow right behind him, taking the opportunity to analyze and inspect silently the clients and the environment. It was a habit of mine that I never understood why I have it, but I guess is because I like to see if it has something interesting to catch my attention, even if it means memorizing every little single thing.

It seems that added more geishas to the establishment, that's good... I guess.

***

He indicates to follow him to the storage room, my favorite place of this establishment, opening the door for me to enter.

"There's something new here that I can't quite put my finger on." I mutter as I scan the room with my eyes, trying to see what's that something new that I had noticed.

"Yes it has, actually. Yesterday after you left the establishment, we imported more products from the White lands, so there's some new things for you to try and test."

"Is that so? I didn't know the head of the establishment had some connections out of the lands."

"The boss is full of surprises." Sumi sighs before he places the box in the table.

He starts to open the box and see the content inside, inspecting the concoctions with great enthusiasm and joy. Sumi is a big fan of my crafts, so it's understandable for him to be so content to use and enjoy my products.

I just watch him being him for a moment before I look around at the storage room, they truly had imported some new products, I just need to know what is it and it way of use.

When I was about to open my mouth to ask about it, Sumi is already with a sack on his hands in front of me, gesturing for me to grab it.

"Here's the payment." He said with a smile. "I almost forgot that."

I simply nod before I grab the sack of money, tucking it in my inside pocket.

"Pleasure to make business with you." I thank him. "I'll go, I have more products to do and pass in other places who requested my apothecary services, some of them don't take well delays." I turn around. "It was good to see you again... My friend." And as said, I start walking away, the candle that was lit up being suddenly extinguished after I pass by, marking my exit.

***

As I exit and start walking, heading towards a bar, I decide to go by a short path, which is... A dark alley, for my luck. But who doesn't like to take risks? Life is much more fun when you have adrenaline on your body or you're experiencing an adventure. So I, Amethyst OwlHeart Orchids, with all sureness, I go to the dark alley, letting the dark cover and hide my figure as enter in.

As I pass, suddenly, i start having goosebumps, feeling presences not so far from me. It must be a bunch of people who decided to use this alley as a short cut as well. But I couldn't trust that thought of mine that much because of my high intuitions of not being just people passing by... And I was right.

As one of the individuals follow my steps and advance to my side, I felt, painfully, a sting directly in my neck's pulse point, not only but also a substance entering in my veins by the pulse point, a substance that makes my body feel numb and slow. It was a sedative, that's for sure, a one strong enough to take down a horse.

I wanted to react, and I tried, but my body was too numb for such thing, and I was slowly loosing my consciousness, only feeling rough hands tying up my wrist and ankles tightly with a rope before lifting me up, hanging me on it's shoulders like a sack of potatoes.

I couldn't believe it, I was being kidnapped, by a group of probably thieves, it was supposed for me to fight back and not let me get taken away! But... What if I let? What would be the things that await me? I can just run away after... I always can... That was my last thought before I black out, my eyes finally closing and becoming unconscious.

----

And with that, Amethyst is kidnapped by a group of thieves, her twisted/sadomasochistic side of mind along with her curiosity speaking louder than her rational and logical one. What will happen to Amethyst now that she is getting taken away from her "normal" everyday living to go on a new fate?
