Chapter 13 - chapter12.5: A Fight Against Demons and... Unicorns? (part 2)

[Day 3]

The prince's assistants were fighting against a giant bat, Tulipa uses her lines and with Lun Re's help, they trap the bat in exactly in the middle of Amethyst's enchantment.

Amethyst finish the recite two seconds after the bat be positioned in the circle, working with her clock for her powers work. The enchantment circle glows purple to strongly shine red, hands appear from the circle, giving an end in the bat by cracking it's neck.

"And, with that, we starts day 4 with the killing of the giant bat." Announces Nayoto, crossing off the giant bat of the list.

"Let's camp here to take a nap until... Until..." The thinks for a moment. "Amethyst, what time is it?"

"It's 03:03 in the morning." Amethyst closes her pocket clock.

"We will rest and sleep until 09 o'clock." Nayoto finishes, taking off a white flag of her bag and sinking in the floor, marking their temporary rest point, so others explorers can know that they are "friendly".

***

After Amethyst finished the protection barrier on the floor, Nayoto cooks mushroom soup with carrots, veggies and meat from a group of 3 bovines they killed on the second day, giving each one a bowl.

"Being honest." Says Aya, wanting to start a conversation between each other. "After finding out that you were from the OwlHeart clan as well, I find you very feminine for a Martial arts practitioner. It's actually quite uncommon to find a female that after the martial arts, didn't got 'masculinized', even if a little bit."

"I... I will take that as a compliment, I guess." She responds a little confused.

Lun Re chimes in. "Also, I notice that you have a certain hate towards roses. Can you tell me why?"

"... Is because my mom is allergic to the flower..." Amethyst simply responded.

The others, expect Tulipa, let out an "oh" of understanding, then an "OH!" of surprise.

"You have a good relationship with your mother?" Asks Aya surprised.

"Not only, but with my father and my siblings too. I love them so much." She says with a smile.

"But, your personality, your way of thinking, your acts, it make it look like you had a very bad childhood! And that you hate your parents more than hate itself!!" Exclaims Aya, very surprised.

"What do you mean? I love my parents, with all of my heart. And i never had a bad childhood, nor even my siblings. I even have a photo of them in my clock." She shows her clock after opening it, the picture of the whole family, having fun, smiling brightly and laughing, with bright and colorful clothes very clear to the view.

The assistants were too shocked to speak. They stared at the photo as if they seeing something impossible happen right in their eyes.

Tulipa just sighs in contentment. She knows Amethyst's family, and Amethyst's family knows her too, turning her into a very trustful acquaintance to them.

***

"What's the next monsters from the list, General?" Asks Aya, curious.

"Dimeras and Unicorns." She responds. "Amethyst, Tulipa, explain."

"So, Dimeras are an error in the ecological balance, only causing chaos everywhere they put their foot on a place." Amethyst starts after taking a sip of her soup. "Practically these monsters are humanoid demons, who use their appearances to seduce males, females sometimes, and then transform them into their next meal."

"Well, all of them have female appearances. Cute and delicate face, petite body, small stature, using sensual clothes, yet they have horns and reddish skins." Tulips articulates, remarking. "They first persuade the person, seduce them, ask for specific favors in exchange for their bodies, and right when the person makes physical contact with them... They rip them by the neck right when they get opportunity."

Amethyst adds. "But the thing is, they're only 50% rational, which makes them not have a proper mentality to become a rational creature like us, rational creatures."

"In other words: Do not have mercy on them." Says Lun Re, fixing his gaze sternly at Aya. "They're not good creatures, and they will turn into food anyways. You understand?"

Aya hesitates a bit before nodding.

***

The 5 were walking deeper to the carven after their 6 hours rest, Tulipa being at the front leading the others with a spiderly smiley face, humming a little song. Amethyst and Lun Re were hyper aware of the surroundings, using their sharp audition to hear anything and everything suspicious.

As they walk, steps start to be heard, approaching them. They don't seem to be a monster step, but rather a human one.

The group stops as they see a wider group of men approaching them.

"Oh look at that, a small group of creatures holding a full backpack. They must be explorers from this cavern looking for any valuable treasures, and by the size of that backpack, they had found alot. What luck!" The one in the front blustered out, making the others cheer.

"I'm gonna make it clear, we made an exchange with a very beautiful woman nearby, and what she wanted was some jewelry of this cavern." He says, pointing to where the woman is with his thumb before pointing his sword at them. "So, be some good pets and give us all valuable stuff you all got."

Tulipa knows that they are not wanting to talk, so she steps back and enters in fight position.

Everybody understands the sign and also enters in fight position, except Amethyst, who is looking at one of the men's eyes.

She focuses all her attention to his eyes, looking deeply until she finds...

With a soft gasp, she quickly rush towards Tulipa, grabbing her by the waist, which makes her yelp faintly. "Tulipa, you will fly in the count of 3."

"What?!?" She exclaims, confused.

"1..." And, in a swift motion, Amethyst throws Tulipa in air, sending her to a stalactite in the ceiling.

Tulipa land there, confused, looking down at the fight that is now happening.

"Why did she send me to the ceiling? Is it to see something from an overhead angle?" She questioned herself.

Activating her purple vision, she looks around until... A Dimera sitting in a rock, invisible in the normal vision. Her eyes widen, now understanding why Amethyst's sudden impulsive action.

Closing her eyes, hanging he hands in the air, reciting.

"When you are dragged back, you conduct me into misery. But when the hold stops, you send me to achievements and success I never I would conquer." Forming right in her hands, a pink fire bow and a black smoke arrow.

Aiming right at the Dimera, Tulipa could hit her in the eye, not quite harming, but disabling her invisibility.

"THERE THE DIMERA IS!!!" Tulipa screams landing on the floor.

The others look up at Tulipa and then where she's pointing, spotting the monster.

A chase begins, The creatures giving their finals finals blows to the opponent before starting to chase the Dimera. Because of their speed, Amethyst and Lun Re were in the front, running right next to each other.

Amethyst was with a maniac smile on her face, Lun Re was with a serious expression.

The Dimera herself was increasing her speed, since her invisibility and other powers were disabled by Tulipa, she was putting everything on the speed.

"Lun Re." Says Amethyst. "Do the honors."

Lun Re nods, passing Amethyst and reaching the Dimera. Once close enough, Lun Re blew a punch right at the nape of the Dimera's neck. The punch was strong enough to disoriented the monster and falls down to the floor.

"Thank you, big tiger. Now is my turn." Taking a bit of spider web from Tulipa, Amethyst approaches the Dimera, with a cold stare and a maniac sadistic grin.

She crouch, looking down at the Dimera.

"Now that we defeat you, you will be a good monster and tell me where the others from your species are." Says Amethyst softly, too softly while giving a head pat to the Dimera.

"I will never betray my sisters this easily." The dimera exclaims to Amethyst, spitting on her face, but Amethyst was quick to dodge.

"Oh yeah?"

Amethyst pierces one of the monster's eyes with her claws. The scream of agony and pain was loud, and the Dimera agonizes on the floor.

The monster tried to crawl away, but no avail, it was tied with Tulipa's web on her neck, wrists and legs. It didn't notice when Amethyst had tied her up, or had the feeling of lines wrapped around her.

Amethyst giggles maniacally, approaching calmly before grabbing the Dimera by its horns, holding it up to be eye-to-eye.

"Or you show where they are and you have a peaceful death, or I'll make sure that you get cooked alive and make sure you die very slowly. Choose."

***

The group was now on the way towards the unicorns place, with Tulipa, of course, taking the lead.

"We don't need to kill them, their hair is edible so all we just need to do is ask nicely." Amethyst explains in a casual tone, feeling that they won't have the need to fight again. "Different from the Dimeras, they are 97% rational, but not enough to become creatures with even an human form. I guess Mother of Nature really played a prank on them or something."

"In the book says that they only accept who has a heart of gold." Remarks Lun Re, which makes everyone stop and look at Aya. She got confused by the sudden stares, thinking that she might have done something wrong.

***

Reaching the place, they are marbled by the cascade, the crystalline clean lake, and colorful plants and principally, the 3 unicorns present.

They were incredible, white fur, rainbow-ish hairs and tails, beautiful eyes, and an unparalleled elegance.

They all look at the creatures, standing from the rocks they were relaxing in, the middle one starts.

"Oh hello, creatures, is good to see living beings that are not monsters here in our small humble place." He greets softly. "What can I, the most beautiful unicorn ever exist, help you with?"

Aya approaches them, responding.

"We just need a little bit of your hairs, if you all don't mind, and we will leave you all in peace."

"But for you to take a bit of our hairs, you need to have a heart of gold, a heart that shows us that you deserve to have something from us." He says, putting a dramatic pode which makes his hair flutter in the non-existent wind. "Let me, the most beautiful unicorn here, see if you truly deserves a bit of our hair."

Aya approaches eagerly, letting the unicorn approach his horn into her heart, shining it bright yellow-ish colors.

"Yeah... No. You don't have a heart of gold." He responded, a bit coldly and in a mocking tone, which makes Aya enthusiasm face drop. "Your heart just haves a gold color, but is too cold, too dark. Come back when you truly have a heart of gold. Bye bye."

The unicorn turns around, giggling mocking and going back where he was.

"Is not possible." Aya mutters, making the unicorn turns is head with a 'hm?'. "I was expelled from my house because of being too naive and positive for a dragon, got called 'weak reptile with a good heart' for ages, came down here to the earthlings lands to have a new life and be called 'the first dragon with a good heart' to YOU say that I don't have a heart of gold?"

"I mean, yeah, it's the truth." He scoffs with a chuckle. "It's not my fault that you born with a flaw that made you not be a proper dragon in personality and behavior. What you want me do to? Say sweet lies and comfort you over nothing? I'm just the most beautiful unicorn here, you know?"

Before he could even say more, he was hit by a punch from Aya, a gaze already full of rage by his words.

"Oh, you want to fight? With me? Okay, let's fight!" He exclaims before giving a kick in her stomach, making her fly towards the other creatures.

"Alright. Change of plans. ALL THEY BODY IS EDIBLE AND ULTERLY SWEET, GOOD TO MAKE DESERTS, KILL THEM ALL!!!" Amethyst announces, starting a fight.

The fight were tense, with the unicorns, surprisingly knowing to be on two legs and knowing karate. But since they were already tired over the fight with the men and the Dimera's chasing, in one point of the fight they all simply pull out a 38 revolver and start shooting at the unicorns, finally winning the fight and finally ending the hunting days.

***

"I don't understand, Tahmoud, what's the difference between an assistant and a lady or lad-in-waiting?" Asks Keiko in a annoying tone, just to piss Tahmouds off.

"Listen properly, you stupid airhead." Tahmoud shakes her shoulders abruptly. "An assistant is the work in general, no matter the gender, while lady-in-waiting and lad-in-waiting are the subposition that tells more specifically your job, and is what people will refer to you when you're out of the castle or palace in the name of the person you work to!!!"

The were so distracted at the banter that they didn't notice a group of five creatures entering in the restaurant, smelling like they were in a war with monsters, with their bodies dirty of mud and unicorn rainbow blood, with faces that looks likes they don't sleep for ages.

Aya looks around, whispering to Amethyst.

"So this is the restaurant were the some persons of the Black Continent work?"

"Yes is it, their good is very delicious, and its very well known here in the East."

***

"Good morning, attendants." She greets, her voice raspy and deep.

Tahmoud and Keiko felt the sudden shadow appearing infront of them. They look up.

"BOMBOCLAT!!" He squealed while jumping backwards, Keiko already behind of the door towards the kitchen, peaking out with a shaky body and blank expression. They were not used to see a giant woman with a burn scar half of her face, neck and shoulder.

"My apologies for my language, miss... Miss...?" He questioned himself for a moment.

"Miss Taoko." She simply clarified.

"Miss Taoko. How can we help you and your group?" He asks, trying his best to not look scared by the giant general female right in front of him.

"We need monster seasonings, I'll pay with unicorn bones." She places a sack on top of the table.

***

Once they leave the restaurant, Keiko came back from hiding at the kitchen door.

"Geez, she truly is scary as Amethyst said." She commented.

"This is one of the first times I'm agreeing with you."
