After finishing the cleanup, the once dirty, abandoned classroom had transformed into a spotless new room.
Ivy collapsed onto a chair and let out a tired sigh. Her hare tilted its head, then hopped onto her lap.
"Squeak?"
Ivy smiled, gently rubbing the hare as she leaned back and closed her eyes.
Tia noticed Ivy resting. She set down her cleaning cloth and pulled a chair closer to the girl.
She kept glancing at Ivy—or rather, at her adorable hare.
"What a cute spirit animal you have..."
Ivy was caught off guard by the sudden conversation, but she smiled and continued petting her hare.
"Yeah. Thank you."
And just like that, Tia pulled out her phone, leaving the conversation hanging.
Ivy narrowed her eyes at the blue-haired girl.
This is so awkward...
Throughout the entire cleaning session, every time Ivy tried to make small talk with Tia, she'd receive the most minimal response possible—just enough to end the conversation at an awkward standstill.
