Chapter 25 - Asia: I Do~

Despite not sleeping all night, the current Hiro didn't feel the slightest bit of fatigue, no different from his usual state.

It was unclear whether it was the effect of his physical fitness, the effect of Innate Body A++, or the benefits brought by the surging magic power within him.

"Then, will I never see Nanamiya-sama again after this?"

"If nothing unexpected happens, that should be the case."

Hiro seemed not to hear the sadness and reluctance in the little nun's tone, replying nonchalantly.

"However, we've already spent a week together. Asia, would you like to see us off? This hotel is still quite a distance from London Airport."

"Yes! Please allow me to see you off!"

The little nun forced herself to cheer up, giving Hiro, who was busy, a poignant smile...

The only male sat in the passenger seat, while Nanamiya Yasuko, Kirigaya Suguha, and the other two women chatted in the back seat.

"Hey, Hiro-kun, are you really planning to leave Asia here?"

Taking advantage of the opportunity while Asia and the other two women were talking, Nanamiya Yasuko leaned forward and whispered into Hiro's ear:

"I've already heard from Asia that she doesn't have any relatives in this country and was just kicked out of the orphanage that adopted her. She's all alone with no ties. Instead of leaving her to wander in confusion in Britain, why not take her back with us? Anyway, with our financial situation, we don't need to worry about one more person."

Of course, it would be even better if there were two more people...

Nanamiya Yasuko had some slightly unrealistic thoughts in her heart.

However, judging from her son's attitude towards Asia, nothing beyond friendship had obviously happened during these few days.

Otherwise, she could have righteously invited Asia to their home as a "fiancée" or "girlfriend," possibly never to leave.

Asia is such a good girl, why can't Hiro-kun see it? What exactly is wrong? Even if he thinks her figure isn't good, she's only 16, Asia still has a lot of potential for development!

"Just consider it reducing some of the housework burden for your Aunt Midori, what do you think?" Seeing no sign of her son nodding, Nanamiya Yasuko added in a low voice.

Although nominally, Nanamiya Yasuko, as the mother, should be the head of the Nanamiya household, with the basic source of income all thanks to Hiro's novel earnings, even as an elder and a mother, Nanamiya Yasuko would unconsciously seek Hiro's opinion.

Even with his will as the main guide.

"Mom, don't worry about this, I have my own plans."

Glancing at the oblivious blonde nun, Hiro turned his head slightly and whispered back to his mother.

Plans? What kind of plans could they be?

If he planned to take Asia back, wouldn't it be better to just agree directly?

Why go to the trouble of doing something extra? However, judging from his tone, it didn't sound like he was going to refuse...

Staring at Hiro's indifferent profile for a few seconds, Nanamiya Yasuko secretly shook her head and said nothing more.

She had done all the effort she could.

If Hiro was determined to refuse Asia, she, as the mother, couldn't force the little girl to return to Japan.

After an hour-long taxi ride, the group got out in the parking area outside the departure hall.

After taking everyone's luggage out of the trunk, Hiro looked at Kirigaya Suguha and the other two women on his right.

"Mom, Aunt Midori, Suguha, you guys go ahead first, I'll say goodbye to Asia."

"Okay, Onii-chan, hurry up~"

The naive Kirigaya Suguha didn't think too deeply about it, waving her hand at Hiro with a lively smile before pulling her suitcase towards the ticket gate.

Kirigaya Suguha's behavior made Kirigaya Midori beside her feel a bit helpless:

My daughter, don't you have any thoughts upon seeing this scene?

Shaking her head, Kirigaya Midori silently turned around and followed her daughter's steps.

"Sigh." Nanamiya Yasuko sighed softly, reached out and patted Hiro's shoulder, whispering, "Don't make Asia too sad, speak gently."

After saying this, Nanamiya Yasuko dragged her suitcase past him, obviously taking his previous words as a "rejection."

Although what I said earlier was indeed a bit ambiguous, am I really such a heartless person...

Watching his mother and the other two figures gradually disappear, Hiro muttered inwardly.

Turning around to face the blonde nun whose eyes were slightly red, before he could even open his mouth, the girl's slightly trembling voice reached his ears:

"I know, my work as a guide is over. I won't make any excessive demands, please rest assured, Master."

"Although it was only a short seven days, I had a very happy time during this period. Master... no, Nanamiya-kun, I will cherish this necklace you gave me."

The girl gently raised her right hand, stroking the emerald, green necklace on her chest.

Clear water droplets gradually appeared around her eyes, which were the same color as the necklace.

Facing him, the girl's tearful smile gave Hiro a sense of "poignant beauty."

"If Nanamiya-kun can occasionally recall this experience after returning to Japan, I will already be satisfied and won't ask for anything more."

No, no, no, I just gave you a necklace, right?

I haven't even said a few proper sentences to you.

Where did this deep affection for me come from? It's almost catching up to, no, it should surpass the level that Issei Hyoudou risked his life for...

Feeling the curious, puzzled, disdainful, and other gazes gradually gathering around them, Hiro felt not only helplessness but also many incomprehensible thoughts in his heart.

"I haven't even said anything yet, Asia, don't overthink it."

Taking advantage of his height, Hiro placed his left hand on Asia's head and ruffled her hair a few times, while his right hand reached into his coat pocket, took out a small "piece of paper," and handed it to Asia.

Ignoring the hand on her head, a pair of emerald eyes stared intently at the "piece of paper" Hiro handed over.

The sadness and helplessness on Asia's face gradually disappeared, replaced by disbelief, surprise, joy, and elation.

It was as if a traveler about to drown in the sea had suddenly discovered that they had drifted ashore and could stand on the beach.

"My main job is a light novel writer. I'm planning to enter the manga industry and need a hardworking and serious assistant. I wonder if Asia would be willing to accept my employment again?"

The surprise, like going from hell to heaven, caused the tears that had been accumulating around Asia's eyes for a long time to pour down uncontrollably, but this time, they were tears of joy.

"I am willing."

The nun's answer was firm and resolute.
