Chapter 70 - As Long as You Swing the Hoe Well, There's No Corner You Can't Dig Up?

Because he was worried that the barrier maintained by Sona Sitri and the others might collapse, Hiro had rushed over without hesitation.

He had been prepared for the worst.

But the damage caused by Kokabiel's crash earlier was far less severe than the damage caused by Hiro pressing him down.

That much was obvious.

Even without looking at the spiderweb-like cracks spreading across the barrier, one only needed to look at Sona Sitri's expression.

She clearly wanted to say something.

But after weighing her words, she chose silence.

Were you doing this on purpose?

Whether it was Hiro's imagination or not, he felt that the look Sona gave him resembled that of a wronged little wife-resentful and full of suppressed emotion.

And while Hiro's attention was momentarily diverted by Sona and the others, Kokabiel's combat experience allowed him to seize the opening.

He detonated the magic power within his body in an explosive burst centered around his neck.

Boom-

The sudden eruption of magic power, combined with Hiro's distraction, allowed Kokabiel to forcibly break free from his iron grip using a method akin to losing eight hundred to kill a thousand.

His ten black wings flapped wildly.

The magic power in his body surged out as he desperately tried to put distance between himself and Hiro.

His already twisted, pale face was now completely drenched in bright red blood.

Within the dim barrier, he looked no different from the ghostly protagonist of a horror movie.

His speed was absurd.

His power was monstrous.

If he hadn't been prepared earlier, he would have already lost the ability to resist and could only await slaughter.

But this level of power was still nothing.

No matter how fast your speed is.

No matter how exaggerated your strength looks.

You are still just a human in the end.

Even with the Red Dragon Emperor's armor, once you're hit by my full power, the battle will be over.

The one who stands victorious in the end will still be me.

After barely regaining control of his body, Kokabiel no longer dared to hesitate.

He had already recognized Hiro's terrifying strength.

His wings blurred.

In the blink of an eye, his figure became indistinct.

However, just like before, after moving only a few meters sideways, a force that drove him into despair erupted violently at the center of his back.

Boom!

Kokabiel reappeared in Sona Sitri and the others' vision for less than two seconds-

Then vanished like the wind.

After kicking Kokabiel back in the original direction, Hiro didn't pursue immediately.

He remained where he was.

Through the cracked barrier, he looked at the short-haired girl with glasses who had finally calmed down-Sona Sitri.

"Sorry for the trouble."

"Please hold on a little longer. I'll finish this soon."

Hiro spoke with a faintly apologetic smile.

He didn't wait for her reply.

The crimson dragon wings behind him flapped once, and he disappeared from the girls' sight.

-

With both Kokabiel and Hiro gone, the space fell into dead silence.

A few seconds later, it was Tsubaki Shinra who broke it.

"Sona."

"If Kokabiel had crashed into our side just now instead of the opposite side of the barrier... could it have held?"

Her gaze swept over the two spiderweb-like cracks-one large, one small-slowly stabilizing in front of them.

Her tone was slightly unnatural.

"Probably not."

Sona answered calmly.

Yet in her heart, she couldn't help but feel a trace of envy toward her childhood friend and rival, Rias.

If Ryuuko, rather than Koneko, had been the one to encounter Hiro first...

Would it be them maintaining the barrier now, while Rias and the others fought inside?

Moreover, even the engagement arranged by the Gremory family had been disrupted and dissolved by Hiro.

In the eyes of the Gremory elders, Hiro was likely already regarded as Rias's fiancé.

"Ah-Hiro-sama, good work."

Hearing the dreamy voice beside her, Sona cast a brief glance over.

"Ryuuko. Focus."

"Ah! Yes! Sorry, Sona-sama!"

The twin-tailed girl stuck out her tongue and immediately concentrated.

After reminding her servant, Sona herself grew a little distracted.

But in the end, there was still no official engagement between Hiro and Rias.

Which meant-

As long as she was willing, the possibility of digging him away from Rias...

Probably.

Perhaps.

Wasn't zero.

And when it came to dowry resources, her side held an overwhelming advantage.

With that thought, Sona glanced at the five servants around her and silently made up her mind.

As long as you swing the hoe well, there's no corner you can't dig up.

"Sona."

Tsubaki Shinra suddenly spoke again, her eyes filled with faint doubt.

"Hm?"

Sona turned her head calmly.

"No, it's nothing," Tsubaki said after shaking her head.

"I just had a bad premonition earlier. It's probably my imagination."

-

Bang-!

Only seconds after Hiro and Kokabiel vanished, a blurred figure crashed into the drastically altered schoolyard in front of Rias and the others.

It smashed straight down, carving out a bottomless, irregular crater.

From that crater, cracks that were already several meters wide began spreading again.

They expanded endlessly.

Faculty buildings.

Dormitories.

The old school building.

Structures hundreds of meters away were swallowed as the fissures advanced.

Railings.

Trees.

Parked vehicles.

Even reinforced concrete structures were torn apart and consumed.

Rumble-

Beyond Rias and the others' field of vision, an unknown building finally gave way.

A deafening sound echoed as dust filled the sky.

This apocalyptic scene-

Was caused by nothing more than a single figure falling from the sky.

"I knew Hiro's strength was extraordinary," Rias muttered in a daze.

"But causing something like this with just a simple punch... isn't that too exaggerated?"

"Or is the boost from a Balance Breaker really that insane?"

Even with her knowledge, Rias couldn't hide her shock.

"A Longinus is just a tool in the end," Akeno replied calmly from beside her.

"It can't make someone soar like this."

"You understand that, don't you, Rias?"

"Of course I do!"

Rias shot her queen an embarrassed and irritated glare.

"I was just making a comment. Is that not allowed?"
