Chapter 13 - Third Day

Third day.

[Wan Xin: Why are you all hiding your talents?]

[Chen Zemin: Yeah, most of us have only F-grade talents; you all should stop hiding.]

[Tan Ya: Their talents must be useful to everyone but they don't want to help; that's why they are hiding.]

The regional chat was in an uproar with many new faces accusing the lords who choose to hide their talents.

They were either jealous or just wanted to push their survivability on others.

In these two days more than fifty lords have died after all.

On top of that, many did not have enough food and water, which led to subjects leaving their territory.

If it continued like this, they won't be able to survive.

It was no wonder they were anxious and started accusing the lords, especially the one who hid their talents.

They even accused Gao Yan, who willingly shared a lot of useful information and tactics. Then there were also famous lords like Xiao Tian, Ye Ming, and Zhu Ruolan.

These anxious lords did not care about mortality or who they were accusing. They all just wanted to survive.

Looking at the chaotic chat, Lin Feng sighed.

However, he had no intention to help.

Everyone had almost the same starting point. If there was a reason why they ended up like this, then it must be their own mistakes and greed.

There were many lords with F-grade talents after all, yet most of them were doing good, if not better.

Furthermore, lords with kind hearts were willing to help. They traded extra food and water for a measly amount of resources.

Now even with all of this, they can't eat or drink. Whose fault is it if not theirs?

Closing the chat window, Lin Feng shook away complicated thoughts.

He wasn't feeling guilty because they were a bunch of ungrateful bastards, even accusing lords who helped them.

It's just that he didn't expect them to cross the moral bottom line this early.

Fortunately, he didn't hide his talent; if he did, he would also be getting accused.

"It's time to level up."

Lin Feng muttered with a serious look.

Two days have gone by and he wasn't even level one. He was far behind others, especially the lords who awakened combat-related talent.

How wonderful would it be if he also had such talent?

Shaking away his thoughts, he stepped out of his house.

What greeted him was a group of people. Who can they be except his subjects?

"Greetings, lord."

Everyone bowed.

"Rise. Today we are going to kill monsters." He did not bother with pleasantries and stated his purpose.

After this he gave everyone bows and arrows. Even Su Luli and middle-aged women received one.

No choice. He did not have any soldiers so he could only try to make up with numbers.

He even decided to bring Zhou Yu and the other five with the highest loyalty. As for their training, it will be postponed.

"Let's go."

After everyone was ready, he set off.

This time he wasn't just going to shoot from inside the protection shield; he planned to go out.

"Lord, there are a large number of slimes ahead," Fang Wei spoke with a frown.

Slimes were stupid so there was actually no need to worry about them; however, a large number of them was not good.

Especially since slime bosses are summoned frequently, which will waste a lot of time.

"We have no choice but to deal with them." Lin Feng was helpless.

Even with a bow and arrow providing additional points, it won't be easy to kill the slime boss. One needed to hit the core after all.

How many of his subjects can accurately shoot an arrow?

Damn, Mist World, are you targeting me specifically?!

"Lord, there might be a luminescent crystal mine near our territory. That's why there are large numbers of slimes here," Su Luli spoke suddenly.

Hearing her, everyone's eyes sparkled; even Lin Feng and Fang Wei were no exception.

Although luminescent crystals were not rare, they could solve the problem of light sources at night.

Furthermore, with mine as an excuse, Lin Feng could sell a large number of them, making a profit.

Even though he did not lack money or resources, who could say no to more?

"Kill all slimes; leave none alive," he instructed with excitement.

Fang Wei and others were no different.

Finding a luminescent crystal mine meant they did not have to worry about sleeping in the dark.

Certainly, they can burn wood to make fire; however, that will create a lot of smoke, not to mention, in their eyes, they did not have too much wood.

Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!

Fang Wei guided the newcomers to shoot arrows.

The damage to slime was not great, but it was at least better than what Lin Feng's axe did on the first day.

Lin Feng was not idle either; he kept shooting arrows one by one.

Even if the aim wasn't excellent, the arrow was bound to hit, as there were more than sixty slimes.

'A pity no one is selling a crossbow,' he thought with a sigh.

There was, of course, Zhu Ruolan selling a bronze-grade crossbow; however, he couldn't afford it.

[Killed level 1 slime …]

[Killed level 1 slime …]

[Killed level 1 slime …]

It did not take too long and notifications started to ring.

Lin Feng got nine points of experience per kill; as for the others, one point was divided between all of them.

Nevertheless, no one displayed any dissatisfaction.

Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!

Suddenly a large amount of damage appeared.

The first arrow was shot by Fang Wei, while the other two were from Zhou Yu and Hou Gang.

Although they failed to gain skills during training, they did learn a few things, and their aim was also higher, targeting cores.

Seeing this, Lin Feng wished he could train all of his subjects simultaneously; however, he had to keep ten thousand training barracks blueprints for synthesizing.

A higher grade, after all, will have higher skills. Maybe they can also get their profession changed into E-grade soldier.
