"Your... husband..." Margaret finally managed to say, each word careful, tight, and deliberate. "You've been gone three weeks and you got married."
"It was very fast, I know," Lilian said feeling heat creep into her cheeks despite the absurdity of being embarrassed about a fake marriage to a vampire prince. "I know it seems sudden~"
"Sudden?" Margaret's voice rose slightly as her composure began to crack. "Lilian, the last time we talked, you didn't even mention you were dating anyone. And now you're telling me you're married?"
