Chapter 6 - Chapter 6: The Suspended Wonderland

At last, fulfilling everyone's expectations, a woman appeared in the sky, soaring a hundred meters above the ground. She was a vision of ethereal beauty, dressed in a simple yet elegant white gown.

Her appearance was nothing short of otherworldly, as though she were a celestial being. Her feet rested upon a stunning sword of magical quality, its blade studded with the crystalline cores of magical beasts, which enhanced the power and beauty of the already formidable weapon.

As she descended closer, drawing nearer to the ground, she gracefully sheathed the sword and landed with poise.

Her eyes briefly met the gaze of the young genius, Mo Qianlin of the Mo family, and though a flicker of affection passed through her almond-shaped eyes, it was quickly concealed. Her countenance darkened as she surveyed the surrounding warriors with a disapproving glance. With a slight frown, she turned and walked with a graceful step towards her family's designated area.

Before long, several figures appeared in the sky, descending swiftly. Among them were the royal princes and princesses of the Wind Kingdom, accompanied by the esteemed members of the Xiang family.

As the crowd marveled at the arrival of the Xiang family, their curiosity was interrupted by a sudden disturbance in the inner circle.

"Roar~~!"

"Awwoo!"

"Boom, boom, boom..."

The once tranquil surroundings of the Ha Yue Mountain Range were now filled with the sounds of magical beasts roaring. The experienced warriors, with their sharp hearing, immediately recognized the noises of battle from the inner circle. How could magical beasts be fighting inside, especially when the red moon was soon to rise, and with it, the treasure was about to be born?

Given the pressure of the aura emanating from within, it was clear that the magical beasts engaged in battle were no ordinary creatures.

Confusion swept through the crowd.

Everyone was eager to enter the inner circle and discover what was happening, yet none dared venture forward due to the overwhelming pressure emanating from within.

"What's going on in there? Why such a huge commotion?" A young warrior in his twenties stared at the inner circle, which was surrounded by layers of trees, and muttered with dissatisfaction.

"Could it be that today is the red moon, and we're still waiting for that treasure to appear? I've been following these people for the spectacle, but so far, nothing…"

With a sigh, an older man, seemingly in his thirties or forties, patiently explained, "Perhaps two powerful magical beasts are locked in combat, fighting for something of great value."

As the sounds of battle began to die down and the oppressive aura dissipated, the warriors stood alert, ready to rush toward the inner circle the moment the fighting ceased.

Two magical beasts fighting must surely be over something precious.

As soon as the battle between the beasts came to an end, the warriors surged toward the inner circle, eager to claim the magical cores.

"Master, should we go in now?" the young steward of the Lan family asked, looking up at his master as the warriors rushed forward.

"Not yet," the Lan family head replied calmly. He remained seated in his designated area, observing the other families and royal members who had not yet moved. Why should he take the lead when others had yet to act?

The old saying was true: "The bird that sticks out gets shot first," and the Lan family was well aware of it.

Meanwhile, those who had already entered the inner circle were dumbstruck by the scene before them.

Was this truly the innermost part of the Ha Yue Mountain Range, the place so feared by the world? The landscape here was astonishingly beautiful.

The air was filled with the sweet songs of birds, and every now and then, a rabbit would hop across the ground, seemingly unbothered by the many new arrivals. It went about its business as though unaware of the humans around it.

It was as if the creatures here were not concerned with the presence of others.

The wild grasses grew thick and lush underfoot.

To anyone with knowledge of medicine, they would realize that what these people regarded as mere weeds were, in fact, rare and precious medicinal herbs.

Had they known that the "weeds" covering the ground could save their lives or aid in enhancing their cultivation, these warriors would have eagerly gathered them up without a second thought, treating them as if they were priceless treasures.
