Maddy whole body ballooned again, sucking in almost all the air around her.
"I SAID BACK OFF! AIR SHOT!"
Compressed air blasted through the Dire Drake, pushing it back just enough to give Maddy space to breathe.
"You're too big to get pushed, huh? AGAIN!"
Maddy pulled in air once more, her body that had just deflated swelling up again.
"AIR SHOT!"
The Dire Drake was sent reeling again, blasted backward before it could even recover from the first impact. It let out a guttural, earth shaking snarl. It was furious—a mere worm had dared to spit air at it, and worse, that air had actually moved its massive bulk.
The creature's throat began to pulse, a terrifying glow of molten lava rising from its chest.
"Eh? I-it can breathe fire?"
Maddy's voice wavered as the heat began to shimmer in the air.
