Chapter 46 - Chapter 47 Defeat Elizabeth's Sharpness

In the Captain's Cabin of the explorer, the atmosphere was a bit awkward.

Miss Elizabeth Swann was like an angry cat.

She stood with her arms crossed, glaring at Roger furiously.

Her hair was a bit disheveled, and the neckline of her elaborate dress was slightly torn open, revealing her fair collarbone.

But she couldn't care less about any of that now.

In her beautiful blue eyes, a raging inferno burned.

"You despicable, shameless bandit! Scoundrel!"

"What exactly do you want? Did you abduct me onto this dirty, stinking ship just to steal a worthless necklace from me?"

"I'm telling you, my father is the Governor! Commodore Norrington is my fiancé! They will catch up very soon!"

"When they do, all of you will be hanged on the gallows!"

She rattled off a long string of words in one breath, her voice clear and resonant, full of vigor.

She didn't sound at all like a delicate young lady who had just been kidnapped.

Roger sat on his captain's throne, toying with the aztec gold coin he had just acquired, a look of helplessness on his face.

Damn it, why is this woman more troublesome than Jack Sparrow?

Where is my ship dirty and stinking?

I designed it myself and built it with the best materials!

It's cleaner than your Governor's Mansion!

Also, when did Norrington become your fiancé?

Did you agree to it?

Roger was complaining wildly in his mind, but he maintained his composure.

"Miss Swann, please calm down a little."

Roger tried to make his tone sound gentler.

"First, let me correct you, I am not a bandit; I am a glorious… explorer."

"Secondly, I 'invited' you aboard as a guest, and it was indeed just for this little trinket around your neck."

He jingled the gold coin in his hand.

"As for your father and your fiancé, I eagerly await their arrival."

"However, I think they might need a faster ship."

Roger's words, far from calming Elizabeth, only made her angrier.

"You… you arrogant fellow!"

Elizabeth's face turned red with anger.

Seeing Roger's nonchalant demeanor, completely disregarding her, an inexplicable fire surged within her.

Since childhood, she had always been the center of attention.

Every man who saw her was either respectful, admiring, or awestruck.

This was the first time she had encountered someone like Roger.

He had captured her, embraced and held her.

Yet, from beginning to end, his eyes were only on that wretched gold coin!

The way he looked at that gold coin was ten thousand times more focused than when he looked at her!

What was this supposed to mean?

Was she, the Governor's daughter, less attractive than a piece of junk?

A strong sense of frustration and indignation welled up in Elizabeth's heart.

She decided she would teach this arrogant pirate a lesson.

She took a deep breath, suddenly dropped her angry expression, and adopted a pitiful, vulnerable look.

"Captain… Captain, sir."

Her voice became soft and sweet, with a slight tremor.

"I know you pirates have your rules."

"I am just a weak woman, and now I am in your hands. Whether I live or die is up to you."

As she spoke, she secretly pulled her neckline down a little further, revealing more enticing cleavage.

"I only beg you, don't harm me… I can give you anything you want… whether it's money, or… or anything else…"

She cast a seductive glance at Roger.

That look was enough to make any normal man's heart flutter.

At the Captain's Cabin door, Billy and Hanson, who were peeking in, couldn't help but swallow their saliva.

"Holy crap… this chick… she can do this too?"

"It's too much… Can the Captain… can he handle it?"

However, Roger's reaction once again surprised everyone.

He watched Elizabeth's clumsy acting as if she were a clown.

He even yawned.

"Miss Swann, I advise you to save your energy."

Roger tucked the gold coin into his pocket, stood up, and walked over to her.

"I've seen more of your 'playing hard to get' tricks in TV shows than you've eaten meals."

"What… what is a TV show?"

Elizabeth was stunned.

"Nothing."

Roger shook his head, too lazy to explain.

He looked down at Elizabeth, a mischievous smile on his face.

"However, seeing as you're trying so hard, I might as well give you a chance."

"What chance?" Elizabeth looked at him warily.

"It's simple."

Roger pointed to the luxurious toilet in the Captain's Cabin, specially prepared for him and padded with velvet cushions.

"You go and clean it for me."

"Clean… clean the toilet?!"

Elizabeth's voice instantly rose by eight octaves.

She couldn't believe her ears.

This scoundrel! This hooligan! This arrogant fool who doesn't know what's good for him!

He actually… he actually wanted her, a Governor's daughter, to clean his toilet?!

This was more unbearable than killing her!

"You… you're dreaming!"

Elizabeth trembled with rage, pointing at Roger's nose and screaming.

"Oh? You don't want to?" Roger shrugged, "Then forget it."

"Gibbs!" he called out to the door.

"Aye! Captain!" Gibbs immediately ran in.

"Take this distinguished Miss Swann to the crew quarters."

"Let her stay with Billy and Hanson."

"Remember, give her the best treatment, just like the other crew members."

"Her daily meals will be black bread with dried salted fish, and as for rum… don't give her any, it's not good for a young lady to drink."

"Aye! Captain!"

Gibbs stifled a laugh and gestured for Elizabeth to follow.

"Miss Swann, if you please."

Elizabeth was completely dumbfounded.

Let her live with a bunch of crude pirates who reeked of sweat and swore constantly?

Let her eat black bread and dried salted fish that looked like pig slop?

Just thinking about the scene made her feel like throwing up.

She looked at the item, luxurious but still a toilet, then at Gibbs's'sincere' single eye.

Of two evils, choose the lesser.

She gritted her teeth and squeezed out a few words.

"I'll clean it!"

"That's more like it," Roger nodded with satisfaction.

Seeing Elizabeth's humiliated and unwilling but ultimately compliant expression, he felt an indescribable sense of satisfaction.

Little girl, still trying to play the honey trap with me?

You don't even know where your Grandpa Roger came from.

If I can't handle a little girl like you, then I've been a transmigrator for nothing.
