Chapter 9 - Chapter 9 Training Package

"Cough. Your performance just now was not bad, but there is still a lot of room for improvement.

When attacking, you should not only focus on the opponent's exposed weaknesses, but more importantly, constantly pay attention to whether their hands are forming hand seals. The moment you discover your opponent has disappeared, you should immediately move and observe for attacks from blind spots."

After returning to the training room, Chiriku forcibly suppressed his smile, a hint of seriousness on his face, and began to evaluate and guide Li Chuan on his recent battle.

Li Chuan, on the other hand, did not become careless just because he won easily; instead, he listened very carefully, occasionally raising his own questions.

His combat experience was indeed rich, but that referred to situations where he did not use Chakra or Ninjutsu, and his opponents were also martial artists who did not possess Chakra or Ninjutsu.

This was truly his first time fighting a Ninja, and his opponent was only a Genin.

"Alright, that's enough for today. Go back and digest what you've learned."

Chiriku was even more satisfied when he saw that Li Chuan was not arrogant about defeating Kukai, and still maintained a diligent and eager-to-learn attitude.

Now, he needed to formulate a series of training plans for Li Chuan, ranging from the basic theoretical knowledge a Ninja needs to master, to the subsequent learning of each Ninjutsu and practical combat training.

After so many years as the abbot, he finally felt motivated again.

After the Guardian Ninja civil war ended, only Asuma and he remained alive among the original twelve like-minded companions.

Asuma returned to Konoha, and he, disheartened, returned to the Fire Temple and took over the position of abbot.

Originally, he had wanted to properly train Kazuma's child, Sora, but he hadn't expected that Sora's body developed problems a few years ago that have yet to be resolved, so he no longer dared to teach him Ninjutsu.

"Yes, Master!"

Li Chuan performed a Buddhist salute to Chiriku and left the training room.

The guidance given by Chiriku, with his Elite Jonin level experience and insight, indeed gave him a new understanding of combat.

"Creak."

Closing the training room door, Li Chuan walked along the corridor towards his private room.

Passing by the training ground, he noticed that the Ninja monks who were training would occasionally steal glances at him, their eyes now holding less of the previous jealousy and mockery, and more reverence.

During the month he had been at the Fire Temple, he hadn't interacted much with the Ninja monks, not because of a difference in status, but because he felt it was unnecessary.

He had joined the Fire Temple to improve his strength, and any social interaction unrelated to improving his strength was a waste of time.

Moreover, based on his experience in his previous World, as long as you are strong enough, others will naturally revere and flatter you; even a simple smile from you will make people feel very charming.

After returning to his room, Li Chuan continued his daily routine of Chakra extraction training.

His physique and spirit were both very strong, which was an advantage, but to increase his total Chakra amount, he still needed to spend more time training.

A Ninja's Chakra amount is determined by talent for the upper limit, and by effort for the lower limit.

Without talent, you will never reach the enormous Chakra amount like Naruto, but if you don't work hard, you won't even have enough Chakra to cast a high-level Ninjutsu.

After completing his Chakra extraction training, Li Chuan adjusted his breathing and posture, and his entire body subtly emitted a sound similar to a cat purring.

This was precisely the unique skill of the Xingyi Sect, the Tiger-Leopard Thunder Sound, where muscles and bones resonate.

In Li Chuan's previous World, martial artists, in addition to improving their physical fitness through normal exercise, would also further break through their limits through standing meditation and breathing techniques.

Low-level martial artists practiced standing meditation, and once they reached a certain level in standing meditation, they would practice breathing techniques, further training their bodies from the inside out.

The standing meditation practiced by the Xingyi Sect was called Santishi, and the breathing technique they practiced was the Tiger-Leopard Thunder Sound method.

Although Li Chuan had now learned the Chakra extraction method and had begun to learn Ninjutsu, he still did not relax his practice of the breathing technique.

Because a strong body is the foundation; the thicker the foundation, the more Chakra can be extracted, and the greater combat power can be obtained after Chakra enhancement.

Standing meditation and breathing techniques were things that did not exist in this World, and they were also the basis for him to overtake others by taking a different path.

A month later, in the pond in the backyard of the Fire Temple.

Li Chuan wrapped Chakra around his feet, carefully stepping on the Water surface, trying to control the distribution of Chakra evenly so as not to fall into the pond.

Since his last sparring session with Kukai, the Ninja monk of the Fire Temple, he had undergone a series of formal Ninja training under Chiriku's guidance.

The most important part of this was cultural studies, though not astronomy, geography, physics, and chemistry, which Chiriku believed Li Chuan, being born a prince, would surely have no problem with.

The cultural studies Chiriku taught Li Chuan were similar to identifying types of Ninja tools, understanding the advantages and disadvantages of different tools in various combat situations.

He learned about Exploding Tags, soldier pillss, and other items Ninjas frequently use.

He studied all the Ninja rules that Ninjas often spoke of, common team strategies and formations used in Ninja combat, basic Ninja cipher deciphering, the Ninjutsu characteristics of various Ninja villages.

And some common knowledge that most Ninjas would know.

Much of this knowledge was useless to the Ninja monks of the Fire Temple because they might never leave the temple far and simply wouldn't need it.

But for a direct disciple like Li Chuan, a future Elite Jonin, it was absolutely essential to learn.

Otherwise, if he were to travel in the future and had to fight other Ninjas, being completely ignorant of this knowledge would put him at an inherent three-point disadvantage, and he might even lose his life.

Chiriku himself had suffered such losses when he first left the Fire Temple to travel, and when he joined the Twelve Guardian Ninja.

Fortunately, he and Asuma, who hailed from Konoha, were good friends. Asuma taught him a lot of valuable Ninja knowledge he had learned in Konoha, and he, in turn, taught Asuma the Fire Temple's secret Ninjutsu.

Besides cultural studies, there was Chakra control training, starting with attaching Chakra to his feet to climb trees, and then progressing to Water walking.

As for practical combat training, it hadn't resumed since the last session.

According to Chiriku, Li Chuan's combat skills were fine and temporarily sufficient; he needed to focus more on learning cultural knowledge and Chakra control to further learn new Ninjutsu.

Once he mastered the new Ninjutsu, he would then integrate them into combat through practical experience to form his own fighting style.

To this, Li Chuan could only sigh and acknowledge that joining the Fire Temple was indeed the correct choice.

Even in Konoha, no Jonin would be so patient and have so much time to guide him in such detail.

Moreover, he truly didn't understand many things about Ninjas; his so-called understanding before was merely the tip of the iceberg shown in the anime he watched as a child in his previous World.

And because too much time had passed, many memories had become blurred.

"Excellent, your Chakra control has improved significantly again."

As Li Chuan walked step by step on the surface of the pond, Chiriku walked over, holding a few small rectangular pieces of paper.
