Chapter 4 - CHAPTER 4: SMILES THAT SHOULDN'T EXIST

Chapter 4 – Smiles That Shouldn't Exist

Vaibhavi felt disgusted and quickly covered her mouth. Her heartbeat spiked.

Beside her, Ritika trembled—her spine felt like it had been struck by electricity. She stared at the figure that was still eating the lifeless body.

Ritika screamed.

Vaibhavi instantly covered Ritika's mouth, but it was already too late.

The figure stood up.

Slowly.

It turned around and began walking toward them.

"Hey, Barbie girls… why are you playing with my toys?"

He chuckled.

"Don't they look beautiful?"

Silence.

The figure stepped out of the shadows.

His appearance became clear—light brown eyes, fair skin, full lips, sharp eyes, a full beard, and a tall six-foot frame. He wiped the blood from his mouth and looked at Ritika and Vaibhavi.

"Oh ho… it seems like fresh meat has come my way," he said in a glad, excited tone. His eyes roamed over their bodies.

Vaibhavi immediately grabbed Ritika's hand and pulled her away, running out of the room.

"Ohhh… why are you running away from me?" he laughed loudly.

"Aren't I good-looking? Hahahaha!"

They ran and entered another room.

This room wasn't dark—it had lights.

In one corner, a girl was crying.

Vaibhavi and Ritika froze in shock. *How could someone be here… crying like this?*

They slowly approached the girl.

Suddenly—

*Knock.*

Their hearts spiked. They went completely silent.

But the girl kept crying.

*Knock.*

The sound came again, louder… then silence.

They waited.

After a minute, Vaibhavi slowly walked toward the door. Ritika was still gripping her tightly.

Vaibhavi whispered, "Who's there…?"

No response.

Vaibhavi knocked lightly.

Still nothing.

Ritika felt something was wrong. In a shaking voice, she said,

"V-Vaibhavi… something feels off… doesn't it?"

Vaibhavi's face tensed.

Her eyes widened with realization.

*Why did the girl stop crying?*

Slowly, Vaibhavi turned around.

Ritika followed.

Their hearts dropped—as if they were already dead.

The girl was standing right behind them.

Her eyes were unnaturally large.

Her smile was wide—too wide.

And then—

The door was cut open by a chainsaw.

A Few Minutes Earlier

The scene shifts to Yash.

He was walking through the hall with Maya, searching for the chainsaw man Yash had mentioned.

Maya asked in a questioning tone, "So where is he? Don't tell me you made all that up just to bring me here alone."

Yash panicked.

"Of course not!!"

Maya replied dramatically, "Hmm… hmm…"

Suddenly—

The sound of a chainsaw echoed.

A tall figure appeared, walking toward them.

Maya saw it and froze in pure horror. She stepped back and clung to Yash.

Yash grabbed her hand and ran. They entered a room and locked the door.

Yash said in relief, "We're safe for now… but I'm worried about my friends. They're lost."

He turned around—

Maya was gone.

Instead, the room was filled with full-body mannequins.

Yash panicked.

"Maya!! Maya?!"

He moved deeper into the room and noticed many doors.

Suddenly, the lights went out.

He froze.

His heartbeat raced.

He tried to walk through the dark room—

And bumped into a mannequin.

He looked at it.

Its eyes were on—staring directly at him.

Yash screamed and shut his eyes.

When he looked again, it was just a normal mannequin.

He stood up and tried to find the exit.

After struggling through the darkness, he almost reached the door—

But his leg hit something.

He fell.

When he looked down to see what it was—

His breath stopped.

It was a human-shaped figure, completely black, perfectly merged with shadows. Its head was slightly larger than normal. Its eyes were wide, tense, and locked onto Yash's eyes—into his soul.

The figure showed its teeth.

They were unnaturally long.

Its twisted smile stretched almost to its eyes.

Behind it, another figure appeared.

At first, Yash felt hope.

It was Maya.

But that hope died instantly.

Her eyes were completely white, blood streaming from them. She smiled—wide and horrifying.

The door broke open.

And the chainsaw man entered the room.
