Inside the isolated chamber that was Melon's bedroom, Norlan's head was resting on the goddess's Aurelia's twin peaks, her hands busy playing with his hair as she and Melon talked casually about the future. Norlan himself was wasted,sleeping soundly after very long hours of love making.
"Are you really going to send him to the Castle of Edenduar? Isn't that asking too much of him?"
"Don't worry too much. Him getting there is already ordeined. Don't you remember how he was almost influenced by an Expression? Well, that expression belongs to a race called Hellions."
"Hellions? Isn't that one of the rising races in the Hell continent of Albera?"
"Yes, they have a very dangerous racial Expression that can influence memories of their victims. If not for your sacred aura in the Sovereign systems,we wouldn't even notice it as he influenced Norlan's mind.
But this is a good thing. From my divination,there will be a Hellion descendant who will clear the Castle of Edenduar and obtain one of my big brother Heliux's severed dominion. And since that Hellion is the only one to unlock his racial Expression in the last million years, he is the one most likely reading Norlan's memories.
Fortunately, your aura intervened, allowing Norlan to have the advantage about knowing about him while the Hellion is kept in the dark.
Anyway, did you arranged for the steward I asked for? Norlan's system has already integrated with the Celestial Tower of providence. Your handy work I presume.."
"Yes, at the time, I prepared it as a gift to your agent,My lady. I just, just never thought we would end up like this." Melon blushed as she looked at their own naked bodies entangled like snakes during mating season.
"We should wake him up now,the Earth's evolution is almost over and the first trial is about to begin." Aurelia spoke softly,her hand still caressing his hair lightly.
"Hm, it's time he understood some basic knowledge about Albera and the Celestial Tower of providence.
"What basics, I already know most of the basics. The only thing that damned system ever did right." Norlan joined in as the conversation kept going.
Norlan adjusted his body to a seating position, pulling up the sheets to cover himself. His head was still on top on Aurelia's head,while Melon was looking up at his face from his lap.
"Tell us what you know about Albera and the Celestial Tower of providence and we will try our best to fill in the gaps for you. I also plan to tell you your mission."
"Seems good." Norlan adjusted himself loosely," From the spiritual token my system gave me, it described the whole universe as a book. It said that the plane where Earth and the rest of the millions of galaxies all existed in the cover of this book. While Aldera,was the paper of inside book.
About the Celestial Tower of providence however,it described it as an oversight that regulated everything on Albera. It stated that the Celestial Tower of providence main function is to guide the realm of Albera to providence and that it prioritizes the prosperity and future of the Realm."
"Okay, that's a good place to start to. Now let me correct you, Albera is just one of the thousands of sheets of paper on this book called the universe. This book, is called the Celestial universe and Albera is special in this universe,special in a way that it was the first realm to come into existence and the place where the Celestial Tower of providence has most presence in the universe.
The other thing I want to correct is the function of the Celestial Tower of providence. It's main function is actually not to regulate and rule Albera. That is but a minor side effect of its true function."
Melon instantly covered Norlan with her sacred aura, prompting the goddess to continue..
"Actually,just like there is a Celestial Tower of providence,there is also the Profain Tower of Chaos. This Tower, is actually the opposite of the Celestial Tower and is located at a universe parallel to ours. Like a parallel book that has its own cover and countless sheets. We call it the chaotic universe,and it has myriads of races just like the Celestial Universe.There are even Profain devils that have power and dominion equal or even stronger than Celestial gods.
Now, remember when I told you that our book universe has countless sheets, well some of those realms are being invaded by the chaotic universe. This invasion happened the moment that my twin brother killed a Celestial god, disturbing the balance of power between the Celestial universe and the chaotic universe.
Ever since then, the Celestial Tower of providence changed its operation into one of struggle for power,grooming warriors by sending them to realms that have been invaded.
For that reason, it created a basic metric system that is available to all who complete a first mission.
Before you ask questions,let me inform you. I already know your first mission via divination. You will be sent to a decaying realm called Edenduar. Named after my one of the late Celestial gods killed by my twin Brother. From there, I would like you to retrieve something for me. His dominion,to be specific.
Now, before you ask why I haven't gone to take it for myself, I have two answers for it.
One,all realms detected to be invaded by the Chaotic universe is directly sealed off by the Celestial Tower of providence. This seal,blocks out all practitioners of the Sovereign realm and above. Acting like a deterrent as the demons and devils from the Chaotic universe are also restricted.
The second is that,the moment I step out of the Celestial Tower of providence,my brothers and sisters will rush to kill me. I won't hide it from you, right now, I only have two primal dominion and two personified dominion. Blood and inheritance, and ,hope and concealment. I am not very strong compared to my piers. That is why I need your help."
"Don't worry my love, I will do my best."
"I know you will..." Aurelia and Melon continued by informing him about the mission details and about the Hellion. Coming up with countermeasures that would ensure that, the Hellion would only get fractured glimpses if he messed with his mind in the future. They talked about many things,like when or how Norlan should pick his first territory, about how Melon had prepared a steward to help him with management, and various other things.
One of the things that caught Norlan by surprise however was that Melon was the creator of all the systems in the outer universe. The book cover. It turned out that she had created them by taking inspiration from the Celestial Tower of providence while adding a little flavor and personality distinct from the Tower's. He also learned that ever person in Albera had a system as long as they completed a mission.
The good news was,that the system's only come alive when these people are doing Towered missions. In everyday situations, most don't have them, giving Norlan great advantage since Melon told him that only his system an exception due to massive resources she had out in to give him an advantage.
What did this mean? It meant that people with systems just like Edwin or Hexwill will have their system replaced into the rudimentary basic ones that the Tower will provide the moment they finish their first mission.
This was a massive advantage to him. While Hexwill and the rest of the world would only get Tower rewards by killing demons and doing tasks offered by the Tower, Norlan could simply get rewards by fucking and expanding territory on Albera. But this advantage did not come without it's complications.
For one, his unique incubus class had a restriction that made it impossible to learn skills that were not related to this class. Meaning that all combat and utility skills such as rapid and zero momentum were out of reach. He couldn't even learn his territory related class skills. It was a huge bummer.
And that is why, the three sat to find loopholes to this cunandrum.
