As Sammy opened his eyes and saw the chaos he began thinking of ways to survive in this case but that was interrupted when he saw the creature that was strangling Kensei.
It was simple yet terrifying. It had eyes that could move in 360°, a brain that was connected to the eyes and nerves and lots and lots of nerves that dangled and rattled around.
The eyes of the creature started twitching staring at Sammy's eyes but as they looked at each other, the creature started electrocuting Kensei while still staring at Sammy.
It was as if he was trying to get a reaction and he surely did as Sammy threw his dagger at the creature with nerves but it was swift and fast, it quickly grabbed the knife as if wanting to see what would happen if Kensei were to get hit by it.
But the knife hurted the creature. With that Sammy confirmed that the creature was an amputant as amputants only feel the pain but not actually get hurt although it gets hurt alot.
Amputants are overlords who have evolved only a single aspect of themselves.
This amputant had increased only its speed and had taken the form of nerves.
The creature quickly released Kensei from his grasp as the pain was quite fierce as it could feel the pain way worse than anything due to its nerves which also act as skin.
'This thing never appeared in the story!... Goddamn woman!'
As he thought about ■■■■■ He started to realise that he was still a few meters high and was about to fall in a zombie whale's mouth but, luckily Kensei saved him by releasing a blood rope which Sammy caught.
Kensei separated the blood rope from his body and pulled it right after impaling the zombie whale with blood spikes that stretched from his leg which gave him an opportunity to pull.
As soon as Kensei pulled Sammy was dragged off as he clenched to the rope, although he was actually clenching on his dear life.
Suddenly nerves that moved like water covered Kensei and in a blink of an eye Kensei was sliced into dozens of pieces but he regenerated.
'Theres no way we can win... It's an amputant and this whale... It's a damn fully fledged lord!'
His thoughts were hopeless but he didn't have time for such distasteful thoughts as the whale was rolling over back into the water as it was bleeding from his eyes because of some certain spikes.
As Sammy got crushed under the whale, breaking his own back, his bones shattered, mouth not wanting to open because he's underwater, but then he suddenly stabbed himself with the dagger.
Why?
Simple because the dagger has
different effects for different creatures and for humans the dagger heals them free of charge... wow so no medical bill... oh wait the pain of doing that is still there.
As he stabbed himself somehow even though a normal human would have probably not been able to react to that. Probably because of zombie stats. As he regenerated from the attack although regenerating from that is like a surgery without anaesthesia.
He quickly stabbed the whale while in pain, although the pain probably gave him adrenaline.
It began to turn to stone but then suddenly another whale appeared biting off the whale that was turning to stone.
'Another lord!?... no that' s not it' Sammy looked behind the whale that was about to swallow him, there was a pool of blood probably from the original whale right.
Well that may be true but you see that pool of blood was made by the whale beforehand as the whale knew that the dagger could turn zombies like him to stone so he made a separate blood pool that he could regenerate from since zombies only need a tiny particle to regenerate from and dagger couldn't reach the blood pool because it was far away. The whale hurried forward.
'Great, now I have two things to worry about: drowning and getting eaten by a whale although both of them have the same conse- actually I should stop thinking and act fast' it didn't matter since Sammy is a very fast overthinker, notice the fast part?
He can think about a paragraph in half a second and can digest lots of things very fast unless they are unusual. But did you also note the overthinking part?
As he also thinks so much that simple thoughts became atleast 2 seconds long due to his overthinking.
Wait, I'm killing momentum, the narrator said. Well let me observe another fight... wait I can do both!
As the whale launched, as the creature of nerves spiraled across, Sammy and Kensei, launched as well!
