The negotiation took three days.

Three days of meetings, discussions, arguments, compromises.

In the end, an agreement was reached.

The community center residents would visit the organization's facility — not as subjects, but as consultants. They would share their experiences, help refine research methods, and ensure that future studies prioritized humanity over discovery.

In return, the organization would provide resources — medical care, counseling, support — to everyone affected by the violet world.

And at the center of it all, a new understanding:

The syndrome wasn't a weapon.

It was a message.

A cry for help from minds pushed too far.

And the only way to respond was with compassion.
