~Soutarou POV, 3months later~
Soutarou's eyes snapped open and his neck that rested against the bathtub ledge straightened up. He slowly rose as water trickled down his body and he clenched his fists, his chakra flared slightly and the water streamed off of him. And as he stepped out of the bathtub not even a drop of water touched the floor…
'Finally… Three months of so-called scamming… I finally did it… I finally reached a bit into stage three of water natured chakra manipulation. I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel… Not that the tunnel is short by any means… But at least there's a flicker of light.'
'I also now get why this is the phase that differentiates Jonins and Elite Jonins… It's a ridiculously long process to get there… Like so terribly long that after three months of background spamming shadow clones… I've only just hit the 10% progress point…'
'Still with that much my water style jutsu have taken off and I can finally use enough atmospheric water to be able to use Water Style: Heavenly Weaping… Not to mention I've spent almost my entire time these past few months just focusing down this one jutsu with my newly acquired Konoha Body Flicker…'
'Speaking of that stupid ass body flicker… So yeah of course gramps made it, like who else…? No that's not the problem… This bastard took a chakra movement jutsu that is essentially just channeling chakra into your legs to move rapidly unidirectionally and turned it into an omnidirectional, semisensory, enhancement movement technique.'
'I say semisensory because at the speeds that the body flicker usually works at you lose your field of sight for a moment… You guessed it… Nope not in the Konoha Body Flicker you don't. And unlike a traditional d-rank body flicker that only allows you to move in a single direction and which is why most people don't use it for extreme long distance travel, the Konoba Body Flicker allows built-in omnidirectional movement. Unlike the traditional one where you'd have to break your flicker or shorten the distance to be able to shift directions…'
'So while your opponent is adjusting their direction you're able to just reappear behind them… So stupid… Though that's not to say there aren't downsides to this technique… Just as good as it is… The chakra consumption fully classifies it as a B-rank jutsu, as for the difficulty… It's up there with certain A-rank Jutsu…'
'Sure I learned it decent enough to be able to flicker with a single hand sign, but modifying it like I need to isn't going to be possible for quite some time. And as always the flicker is still dependent on my actual physical speed…'
'So… The bottom line is… It's time to go find Might Guy.'
'Well I'll mess with Kakashi later, so I'll save that for a bit… The main gain I've had in the past three months is without a doubt how crazily my chakra is growing… I genuinely have more chakra than I know what to do with… Kosuke, that old fart always sighs at my chakra quantity…'
'But hey just cause I'm rich, don't mean I waste chakra or anything! I always conserve and meticulously work on my chakra control… Unfortunately for me, that's been a constant struggle since my chakra is growing at such a rate that it's growing faster than I can increase my chakra control… Thankfully I've reached a sort of balance for now, but I hope I don't end up with terrible chakra control down the line because of how stupidly my chakra is growing.'
'Well… Honestly chakra control is probably out of my hands in terms of luck or what I can do to mitigate it. Plus I highly doubt things will ever fall to Naruto levels as my day to day use of chakra is already so high in its chakra control requirements I'm sure I'll be able to adapt…'
'But now what's got me thinking… Is it time to seek out Might Guy for real…? Not only has my chakra grown rapidly to the point it dwarfs your average jonin, it honestly puts most elite jonin under me in terms of chakra… But my raw physicality without working out extensively has reached high jonin tier…'
'Now you're all in my mind probably screaming… WHAT THE HELL…? And honestly… You're right. But hear me out… High Jonin Tier means at best I'm equal to Kakashi in terms of punch force. Now if Kakashi and I have a taijutsu match, I'll be in the grave and onto the next life with ease. The gap in experience is too wide.'
'But you're saying just brute force it? Yeah well sorry to burst your bubble, but raw force is only somewhat decent, but even that has to be timed and planned well just like in my fight against Tetsuro. The only reason that even went that way was because that guy didn't take me seriously until Naori jumped in and once Naori jumped in even if I had any gaps, she covered me instantaneously because the sharingan is a fair and balanced kekkei genkai.'
'I'm still waiting on the dev notes and the patch notes… Oh what's that you said? Just get good bro…? Ahh… Pity. Anyways case in point I have the skill of a fairly decent elite chunin, which already puts me well above my weight class for my age. Well above it. Now add in the fact that my physicality is way above my skill level. Everything balances out around the special jonin level and if you add in my jutsu and what not I'm on the stronger side of special jonin.'
'Maybe like 12 year old kakashi level? Yeah about the same level as Kakashi who just got promoted to a Jonin in that last mission of Team Seven with Obito at Kanabi Bridge.'
'Now my dearest friends from above or beyond you're probably wondering why I'm yapping so much… and that's because after all the nonsense I've done and gone through… I'm getting caught up to…'
'Because as I said… Sharingan is a fair and balanced Kekkei Genkai… Forget Naori with her Three Tomoe… I have no clue what Itachi and Izumi have been up to, but Itachi reached Two Tomoe very recently, probably after getting beaten by Naori. But the problem is… That guy is just stupid in terms of skill and ability, everything that takes me time…? Yeah he just gets it in like five minutes.'
'Bastard didn't learn jackshit about fire style chakra nature manipulation and within days he got it close to the end of stage two. Ok forget that… The time it takes me to learn Jutsu… Yeah he learns that in less than half of that. Worse every time I feel like I'm finally putting a gap between us he starts catching back up.'
'Not to mention Naori who's also super talented and now her genjutsu talent is blooming in full to the point where she's starting to become a mini Shisui…'
'Go figure… If this is the same Naori who should've been born a couple eras ago then she should be the same one that later or I guess earlier made Izanami. Dealing with her is actually hard and if both of us went all out I'd have to completely rely on elemental advantage, anti-Uchiha techniques, and emotional play to beat her consistently. Otherwise the result might be in the air.'
'Worse… Naori's always hanging around me to the point I can feel the obsession radiating off of her.'
'So of my goals I set before… I've completely shattered two of them… One was completely out performing Itachi and the second was not being involved with Uchiha Women.'
'Now here we are… On the underside of a tree working on water nature manipulation… For hours on end with a dozen shadow clones working alongside me so I can try to put distance between us all…'
'Worse… Itachi signed up for graduation. I'm guessing Fugaku got spooked, but Itachi's graduating at the end of this term in December, so like a bit earlier than he originally did. Considering I'm turning seven in about four weeks from now…'
'But then again our generation has too many standouts this time around… Naori, Me, Itachi, and Izumi. Not to mention just a few years before us there's Shisui, but that guy's not that important… No, it's the fact that everyone other than me is from the Uchiha Clan… None of the higher ups will feel comfortable with this… and I know they aren't.'
'No they can't be if that Old Monkey literally lowered Old Scammer Kosuke missions to nothing, but taking care of me. Not to mention the war situation going on that could really use a spare Elite Jonin, our general missions would benefit from him too…'
'What a drag man… I gotta get stronger… Much stronger so I can offset the damage that's going on… Otherwise we're going to end up with a Uchiha Civil War or Massacre on our hands very, very quickly.'
'And… Ideally I'd prefer that it doesn't happen until I'm strong enough to handle the consequences… Of protecting some of the people I care about… Or being able to get some benefits out of it.'
'Not to mention… Getting strong only helps me in my own goals…'
Soutarou let out a deep and heavy sigh and dropped down from the tree he was hanging from gracefully before he flickered away and started moving towards a specific edge of the village. Bursting through the tree line Soutarou landed with a resounding thud in front of a man wearing a chunin vest, bushy brows, a bowl cut that gleamed somehow unnaturally in the afternoon sun, and a green jumpsuit so tight it should've been classified as a war crime. Not to mention the dark shade of green it was…
Soutarou sighed again as he watched the man do one handed push-ups on the tip of a single finger… On the edge of a jagged pointed rock… With another two rocks being balanced on his skyward extended feet that were moving in a cycle like motion.
'That's… Yeah that'll do it…'
Soutarou's passive sensory field painted an interesting picture that made Soutarou squint his eyes in a 'huh' that was written all over his face.
'His chakra… It's like burning… Like a flame. Not like that old monkey's no its just… Loud. Pure yang by the way… I barely sense any yin chakra… His tenketsu also seems weird… and why does it seem like his muscles are just yang chakra…? Am I seeing things…? Then again as expected of Guy! Still… Tsunade-nee was right… Hard work is a way to get Chakra Coating. Guy does have a passive version of it… Albeit it's completely off in balance…'
'From my guess, even this 15 year old version of Might Guy should be able to force open the 6th Gate… Pretty wild…'
Just as Soutarou was getting lost in his thoughts and watching Guy train the teenager launched himself upright and landed in a wide stance, with his teeth catching the light in a dangerously blinding way that made Soutarou wonder if he brought out a Flash Tag or something.
Before a 'youthful' voice rang out, "YOSH!!!! Three thousand and one! A brand new personal record! If I could not complete three thousand one-finger push-ups before the sun passed Lord Third's Rock Face, I vowed to do five hundred laps around the village on my hands! BUT I HAVE SUCCEEDED!
The man pumped his fist and a single tear rolled down his cheek. Soutarou watched in interest before clapping softly and saying, "Very impressive Guy-san. Very… I believe the term was Youthful?"
Might Guy smiled brightly and stuck his thumb out and said, "Yes indeed."
Guy's eyes flickered to Soutarou and he said, "Very impressive young man… Very good weight distribution… No wasted movements… and a very, very well trained body."
Soutarou calmly smiled and said, "Thank you for noticing senpai, I'm-"
The man threw his palm up dramatically and said, "WAIT! Don't tell me…! A young shinobi with such poise, such finesse, such, such, such…! SUCH YOUTH! You must be the one they call the Great Hero of the Nine Tails Attack, Soutarou Morita!"
Soutarou smiled warily and said, "Yes… I am Soutarou… and you are?"
The man straightened to his full height and he crossed his arms with a grin that might actually be able to give an Uchiha Byakugan from the sheer blindingness of the smile, in fact it almost made Soutarou's eyes turn white from blindness. Before the man proudly declared, "My name is Might Guy! The Beautiful Green Beast of Konoha!"
'Beautiful… That's definitely one way to describe it.'
Soutarou's already prepared self still twitched at the sight and behaviors of Guy.
And just as he was about to say something Guy instead seriously said, "Shall we run young Soutarou? I have yet to do my laps today."
Soutarou raised an eyebrow and nodded and the two ran around Konoha with Kakashi in the shadows sighing deeply…
