Even though it seemed like she was gone, Huang Shi was almost a hundred percent certain that she was still there, observing him from some unknown place.
Or maybe she's still here in this room, I just can't see her.
Regardless, Huang Shi chose not to think about these things anymore as he sat cross-legged on the mat, letting out a breath and trying to calm his nerves before finally closing his eyes and focusing on his body.
He looked at the single sun that he had, burning with golden Sunfyre flames; he felt its heat and its ability to burn off spiritual energy. He then looked at the other suns that were inside of his body.
They seemed transparent, as if they weren't even there. In fact, if he didn't know beforehand that he was supposed to have nine suns inside of him, he never would have had the awareness to try and look for them or know of their existence.
I have eight more suns inside of me… I wonder what will happen once all nine suns are ignited?
For a moment, Huang Shi let his imagination run wild. He imagined himself flying through the air with nine giant suns behind him, obliterating all of his enemies.

Huang Shi felt happy. He knew that with his talent, he wouldn't really have any of those so-called bottlenecks; he just needed time to accumulate spiritual energy and just course through the next level.
However, just when he felt like his second sun was about to ignite and bloom with Sunfyre, something went wrong. Instead of a bright explosion of power, the sun started to creak and groan, making a sound like a sick and dying old man.
The golden glow began to shake and fade away. Then, before he could do anything to stop it, the flame suddenly disappeared, going out just like a candle being blown by a strong wind.
