As the massive explosion wreaked havoc on the surroundings, Huang Shi was left struggling to stand, as the massive influx of chaotic energy threatened to topple him under its weight.
Thankfully for him, he had temporarily raised his cultivation base to the 4th level of the Nascent Profound Realm. With this, he could finally afford to contend with his enemy head-on.
I think I have a basic grasp of my abilities now. First, although I'm only at the third level of the Nascent Profound Realm, it's clear that my actual combat abilities are much higher than that; at the very least, they are at the seventh level of the Nascent Profound Realm.
Now, with the boost from my Primordial Sunfyre Halo, I can contend with people at the eighth level of the Nascent Profound Realm.
As these thoughts rapidly rushed through his head, Huang Shi sensed something at the periphery of his vision. Without hesitation, he let crimson lightning sparks erupt from his body as he dodged to his right.

A massive fist filled with black lightning suddenly punched the ground where he had stood. His enemy, Huang Bai, stood there like a menace, his body shrouded in powerful black lightning.
"Seems you have some tricks up your sleeves, kid. This is gonna be interest—"
Before he could finish his words, a kick filled with crimson lightning suddenly smashed into him from the side, causing his ribs to crack as he was sent flying into the distance.
Before he even fell to the ground, numerous clones of golden flames suddenly surrounded him from all directions, grasping his body as he flew through the air. The contact caused his already injured body to burn from the intense flames.
Before he could even move to retaliate, the golden flame clones suddenly exploded in mid-air, causing even more damage to his body as he finally smashed into the ground.
BOOM!
"Motherfuck—"
Huang Bai wanted to stand up, to try and retaliate, but once again, a shrouding crimson lightning erupted in his vision as a punch was now heading straight for his head.

A massive explosion of crimson sparks erupted at the point of contact, causing the ground to shake once more. Huang Bai's face turned bloody from the impact, his teeth breaking under the force.
"AHHHHHHHH!"
BOOM!
A massive bolt of black lightning suddenly hit Huang Shi from the front, causing him to fly into the distance and smash into massive trees on the way, breaking them like twigs.
However, once again, before he could even hit the ground, Huang Shi instantly raised his hands and pointed forward. Tiny golden fireballs emerged from his fingertips and rushed straight at his target.
WHOOSH!
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
Tiny explosions erupted from the point of impact as more and more golden flames started to burn all around Huang Bai, all of which slowly burned off his target's spiritual energy and vitality.
His crimson lightning, on the other hand, prevented Huang Bai from being able to fully heal his injuries, as the destruction attribute constantly wreaked havoc on his body.
I get it now. The only way to win a fight is to attack. Screw defense, screw playing safe. The one who wins a fight is the one who is more ruthless. The more ruthless you are, the more fear builds up in your enemy's psyche, making them more prone to mistakes—more prone to death.
WHOOSH!
As golden flames and crimson lightning once again surrounded Huang Shi, he instantly dashed toward Huang Bai, who was also dashing towards him while screaming, his body burning in golden flames and flashing crimson lightning.
"YOU FUCKING BASTARD!!"
BOOM!
His fist clashed with Huang Bai as another confrontation of golden, crimson, and black erupted from the point of impact, causing the earth to flip and trees to fly into the distance. The sheer pressure of their colliding spiritual auras created a vacuum that sucked in the surrounding dust before detonating outward in a shockwave of raw power.
The both of them didn't stop fighting, their fists moving faster and faster, and their kicks aiming to break their opponent's spirit. Every time their knuckles met, a thunderous crack echoed through the forest, followed by the hiss of black lightning trying to devour golden fire.
Huang Shi took several glancing blows to his shoulders and ribs, but he didn't flinch, his eyes locked onto Huang Bai's throat with predatory focus.
WHOOSH!
A kick from the left came straight for his head, glowing with black sparks as he moved his head slightly, dodging it before raising his arm and punching straight at his stomach.
The force of the counter-punch sank deep into Huang Bai's abdomen, the crimson lightning trailing from Huang Shi's knuckles burrowing into the elder's internal organs like heated needles.
BOOM!
Huang Bai spat out a mouthful of blood as his injuries had finally slowly caught up with him. His movements were becoming sluggish, his breathing ragged and wet. Without blinking, Huang Shi raised his right hand and summoned a golden ball of shimmering flames as he instantly smashed it into Huang Bai's head.

Huang Bai's head seemed to explode from the impact as the flames shrouded his body. The blinding radiance of the sphere seared his flesh and scorched his hair to ash. However, he was a tough little bastard and instantly retaliated with a front kick, smashing straight into Huang Shi's chest with the last of his desperate strength.
CRACK!
Huang Shi flew into the distance, smashing into the ground once more. His vision blurred for a split second as his lungs struggled to pull in air through his shattered chest. However, he didn't stay on the ground for long as he instantly stood up, his golden halo spinning with such ferocity that it whistled.
He extended his hand, and the golden flames around him condensed, lengthening and sharpening until he held a sword made of concentrated golden flames that vibrated with the power of a miniature star.

The air itself seemed to part before the blade. Huang Shi lunged forward, the ground beneath his feet melting into glass from the heat. Huang Bai barely had time to raise his arms in a desperate guard before the golden arc of the sword swept through the air, leaving a trail of shimmering embers in its wake.
