The pendant's light formed a portal in Aiko's backyard. Stepping through, they were immediately surrounded by twilight forests, glowing mushrooms, and rivers that shimmered like liquid starlight.
"Whoa… it's beautiful," Mira whispered. "But… it feels like we're not alone."
Rin clutched her satchel tightly, scanning the surroundings. Suddenly, shadows darted across the glowing trees. Aiko held up the pendant, which emitted a protective aura.
As they walked deeper into the forest, they encountered a floating creature with crystal wings, who introduced itself as Lumo, the Guardian of Noxterra.
"You three are chosen," Lumo said, its voice melodic yet firm. "To survive, you must pass three trials: Patience, Courage, and Friendship. Only then will the realm's secret be revealed."
