Chapter 33 - Hank's Failed Plan

Hank set off, brimming with confidence. His easy success in the first assassination attempt on Tony, combined with the psychological advantage of an elder over a junior, made him somewhat underestimate Tony.

Soon, he would pay the price for his underestimation.

"Sir, emergency. Unmarked ants have been detected. These ants are suspected to be controlled by Hank Pym. Their movement routes are currently being monitored."

Jarvis's voice startled Tony, who was deep in thought.

After suffering a major loss the first time, Tony had requested Hank and Ant-Man's suit files from Nick Fury.

He had set up several lines of defense in Stark Tower specifically against Ant-Man.

One of these was to use special elements to mark the ants in and around Stark Tower. If any unmarked ants approached, Jarvis would immediately monitor them. After an algorithmic judgment, he would inform Tony.

'Hank's target isn't Dr. Banner, it's me? How did he know I wasn't dead?'

A series of questions surfaced in Tony's mind, but there was a more urgent matter at hand.

"Jarvis, notify Pepper and Happy to go to the safe house. Then, discreetly release information that I'm in the workshop."

Tony didn't have Jarvis scan the entire tower for the original Ant-Man, Hank. That would be like beating the bushes and scaring the snake.

Instead, he wanted to proactively release information, telling Hank where he was. He wanted to lure him into a trap.

Of course, this was a little aggressive.

Just a little, not a lot.

Tony opened a portal and went to another one of his mansions in California.

He wouldn't actually stay in the workshop, waiting for Hank to assassinate him. Leaving a modified armor disguised as him would suffice.

On the other side, Hank, with the help of various ant colonies, infiltrated Tony's workshop through various pipes.

Heh, a playboy is still a playboy. Even after suffering a loss once, he hasn't learned a thing.

Hank observed his surroundings, searching for Tony's location.

Inside the workshop, a person wearing a suit was sitting at a workbench, seemingly debugging something.

How cautious. Alone in the workshop, and still hiding in an iron box.

But do you think hiding inside will protect you?

Hank quietly approached the suit, taking out a shrinking Pym Particles.

'I didn't expect this mission to be so easy. Hope, wait. Dad is coming to save you.'

The Pym Particles touched the armor. At the moment of contact, the armor rapidly shrank. Soon, it reached subatomic size, falling into the Quantum Realm.

Beep! Beep! Beep!

A buzzing sound echoed in the workshop.

A trap!

Hank reacted and just as he was about to retreat, a special glass cover rose from all sides, trapping the area where the original suit was located and the shrunken Hank was also inside.

In California, Tony, watching through surveillance, was a little surprised.

His first plan was to lure Hank into the armor's pipes. Within the pipes, he would set a trap to capture Hank.

He hadn't expected Hank to have no intention of infiltrating the suit. Instead, he used some unknown weapon that caused the armor to rapidly shrink and then disappear.

Fortunately, he had a backup plan.

Tony's voice came through the loudspeaker. "Hank, I've got you."

Hank's face was ashen.

On one hand, he hadn't expected to be outsmarted by a little kid. This kid was also the son of Howard Stark, whom he had a feud with.

On the other hand, Tony wasn't teleported to the Quantum Realm, so Mephisto naturally wouldn't revive his daughter.

Even when trapped, Hank remained calm and said coldly, "You and your father are equally annoying. Do you think you've won?"

Tony was just as blunt, retorting directly, "All I know is that you're currently trapped in a glass cover. And I'm outside, observing you like an ant."

According to the information Tony had received, Ant-Man did not possess significant offensive capabilities.

Even his suit couldn't break this special glass cover,. An outdated Ant-Man suit without weapons would be even less likely to break it.

Clearly, Tony didn't know that Pym Particles are also known as unscientific particles, bug particles.

"An ant?"

Then, Hank suddenly grew larger. He returned to normal human size, and continued to expand.

Bang!

The glass cover made a sound as Hank expanded and collided with it. The next moment, the glass cover was shattered, and Hank continued to expand.

Until he was approximately 14 times his normal size.

After destroying the glass cover, Hank quickly shrank, using the smoke and dust for cover, and escaped through the breach.

"What the f*ck!" Tony couldn't help but curse.

"Jarvis, quickly, track his location."

"Yes, sir."

A moment later.

"Sorry, sir, Hank Pym has evaded tracking."

"Shit, he got away."

"Sorry, sir."

"I wasn't talking about you, Jarvis."

...

"Shit!"

Hank, who had escaped Stark Tower, cursed under his breath.

He was not in a good state at this moment. Using Pym Particles to enlarge himself and break through the glass cover had put a great strain on his body.

What should he do next?

Hank was momentarily lost.

Tony had already begun to guard against him, and the pros and cons of his Ant-Man suit were largely exposed to Tony.

He only had one last, already discovered, trump card.

That was to shrink to subatomic size and fight to the death. After that, he would likely also get lost in the Quantum Realm.

Suddenly, Hank caught sight of a newspaper.

Headline: The Stark Family Are Actually Swindlers

Hank scoffed.

He had known that twenty years ago.

The next few lines caught his eye.

"Anton Vanko was the true inventor of the Arc Reactor. Howard Stark merely stole Anton Vanko's technology. Then, using the Cold War as a backdrop, he basely kicked Anton Vanko aside. Stark Industries should be called Vanko Industries, and Ivan Vanko should be Iron Man."

"It is reported that Ivan Vanko, based on his father's manuscript, independently developed a miniature reactor in a crude environment, demonstrating a genius even greater than Tony Stark's."

"Regrettably, this genius, seeking revenge, built weapons to attack Tony Stark and was imprisoned. He is currently held at—"

As a witness to that incident years ago, Hank knew the newspaper was exaggerating.

But if Ivan truly is a genius, what if they team up?

Enlarging is the only way to maximize the combat power of Pym Particles.

The human body cannot solve the problem of insufficient oxygen after enlarging, nor can it withstand the pressure for long periods.

But machines can.

Even if giant-sized machines consume enormous energy, the Arc Reactor can supply it.

My Pym Particles + Ivan's armor and Arc Reactor.

We can defeat Tony head-on.

Even Lucas!
