Chapter 86 - Wanda's Emotional Outburst

Earth-65, Nepal, Kamar-Taj.

The male Ancient One had been silently observing these Spider-Men.

Lucas was being unreasonable, ordering him, his teacher, around and he blocked the signal, couldn't be found, and just ran back to Earth-404.

But what could he, as a teacher, do?

Forgive him, of course.

At most, he would just throw a few more Universes onto his shoulders later.

As the Spider-Men and the male Ancient One waited, a ripple appeared in the spacetime of Earth-65's Universe.

This was the ripple of the Master Weaver, the Web of Life and Destiny.

Following the ripple, the male Ancient One's eyes lit up.

Members of the Inheritors had arrived!

Using the positioning of the Time Stone (fake), the male Ancient One drew a circle with his finger, opening a portal.

The show was about to begin, and he wanted to call Lucas to watch it with him.

Sparks flickered, and the portal slowly opened.

Unlike what the male Ancient One had expected, the other side of the portal was not Lucas. Instead, it was a young female sorcerer dressed in the plain white robes of Kamar-Taj.

The male Ancient One carefully observed the young female sorcerer on the other side of the portal, and after a moment of hesitation, asked, "Are you Wanda?"

Wanda looked at the male Ancient One with some annoyance.

This white-bearded old man was too impolite!

Opening a portal so casually near someone else.

Seeing Wanda's expression, the male Ancient One understood that she might have misunderstood something.

So he slowly began to explain, "I came looking for Lucas. It's just that I don't know why, but it pinpointed you here. Did he give you the Time Stone?"

Wanda believed the male Ancient One's explanation, understanding that this was likely a misunderstanding—the crucial information about the Time Stone was known by very few people.

"I am Wanda Maximoff. Lucas did lend me the Time Stone to study for a while. Who are you, and why do you also know me?"

Wanda first answered the male Ancient One's question, then posed her own.

First Lucas, then this mysterious white-bearded old man in front of her.

Why did they all know her?

"I am the Ancient One of Earth-616."

The male Ancient One first answered the first question, then answered the second question with a somewhat strange tone.

"As for why I know you?

"The Scarlet Witch, even in the Multiverse, is renowned. Of course, you are just Wanda now, not the Scarlet Witch."

Wanda pressed on, "The Scarlet Witch? What is that? Another Universe's Wanda?"

She felt like she had found the truth behind Lucas understanding her and believing in her immense potential.

The male Ancient One nodded. "Yes."

Wanda continued to ask, a little excited, "Then can I also become as strong as the other Universe's Wanda in the future?"

She remembered Lucas saying that if she was strong enough, she could snatch her parents' souls back from Hell.

The male Ancient One slowly shook his head. "Hard to say, Wanda. You see, the same person in different Universes can have significant differences. Including personality, height, appearance, and even gender, and so on."

"Take me as an example, isn't the Ancient One in your Universe a female?

"If I didn't say anything, would you be able to connect the two of us?"

Wanda said, "But you are both Sorcerer Supremes, both equally powerful."

The male Ancient One explained, "The Ancient One is not my real name. In many Universes, I died before becoming the Sorcerer Supreme."

And, we are not equally powerful, I am stronger.

He then asked Wanda, "Wanda, why are you so fixated on power? A sorcerer should strive to maintain a peaceful heart, especially for someone like you who possesses Chaos Magic."

Wanda fell silent.

The female Ancient One had also told her this.

"Lucas said that only with great strength can I snatch my parents' souls back from hell."

The male Ancient One's face darkened. "This unfilial disciple is misleading others."

"Master, why are you speaking ill of me behind my back? What did I say wrong?" Lucas's voice rang out.

The male Ancient One scolded with a dark face, "Wanda has only just begun her training, and you're setting such a difficult goal for her."

"How are you a teacher? Do you know how to teach? Do you understand gradual progress?"

Under the male Ancient One's three consecutive questions, Lucas's eyes darted around, finally managing to blurt out a sentence.

"I'm not Wanda's teacher, you are. Besides, I figured, pressure creates motivation, right?"

"I'm Wanda's teacher?" The male Ancient One asked, puzzled.

Knowing that Lucas had given the Time Stone to Wanda, the male Ancient One's first reaction was that Wanda was Lucas's disciple. After all, that was the Time Stone (fake), not just some random item.

"Mm." Lucas nodded.

The male Ancient One looked at Wanda.

Wanda hesitated for a moment, then said, "My teacher is indeed the Ancient One. It's just that I don't know about different Universes."

The male Ancient One nodded.

First, he admonished Lucas, "You should put less pressure on Wanda from now on. Pressure creating motivation is true, but you can't just add pressure arbitrarily like that."

"You need to proceed gradually, not try to make things grow too fast. When you have time, you should study psychology properly."

"For an excellent Sorcerer Supreme, psychological knowledge is also very important. You should know that many sorcerers encounter psychological problems during their training."

Then, he kindly said to Wanda, "Wanda, don't put too much pressure on yourself. In a few days, when I have time, I'll go to Hell and bring your parents' souls back for you."

Normally, he would not do this, but Lucas was causing trouble.

Upon hearing this, Wanda was overjoyed, saying in disbelief, "Really?"

The male Ancient One nodded. "It's just Hell."

The heavy burden that had weighed on her heart for many days suddenly lifted, and Wanda wept with joy. She turned, hugged Lucas, and buried her head, sobbing.

The male Ancient One: "?"

Shouldn't you be rushing through the portal and hugging me, your master, and crying?

Why are you hugging that unfilial disciple?

Lucas was a little flustered, he hadn't expected Wanda to suddenly have an emotional outburst.

Could it be that he had put too much pressure on her recently?

While gently patting Wanda's back, Lucas pondered in his mind.

It seems he's really not suited to be a teacher, he can't even draw a good pie in the sky.

Looking at Wanda, who was still sobbing with her head buried in his embrace, unable to stop for a while, to avoid disturbing her, Lucas quietly established a private call with the male Ancient One.

"Master, is there something you need me for?"

The male Ancient One said, "The show here on Earth-65 is about to begin, do you want to come and watch?"

"Have the Spider-Men found the Inheritors? Why didn't my button notify me?"

"No, but it's close. Anyway, there's a good show, do you want to come and watch?"

"Yes. But I need to bring a few more people, so I might be a bit late."

"Hurry, I'll try to buy you some time."

"Okay, thank you, Master."
