Chapter 91 - Reunion With a Major Patron

Earth-65, Kamar-Taj.

Lucas and the male Ancient One looked at each other.

"Master, what should we do? It's not that I don't want to give Tony, Wanda, and the others a chance to train, but the Inheritors aren't playing by the rules."

The male Ancient One also had a headache.

Solus was too imaginative. He actually linked a Sorcerer Spider-Man to Chthon.

Why didn't he link it to Kamar-Taj, or to the Vishanti? Was he looking down on them, the old ones?

The male Ancient One offered advice, "You make the first move and keep Solus here. Otherwise, once he reaches the Dimension of Blood and is empowered by the Blood God, he won't be so easy to deal with."

"Also, if Solus is kept, Morlun will be the acting patriarch. Then you can gather the Inheritors through Morlun and eliminate them in one fell swoop."

Lucas nodded.

New York.

Lucas opened his eyes, stood up, and gestured to everyone, "Let's depart. Oh, Gwen, you guys don't come over."

Lucas sensed Morlun's coordinates, joining his index and middle fingers to draw a circle.

Accompanied by the flickering of sparks, a portal slowly appeared.

On the other side of the portal, Solus, Morlun, and the Blood God's gazes instantly turned.

Lucas led the way, bringing Tony, Wanda, and Pietro out of the portal one after another.

Solus's gaze swept over them.

Seeing that the portal's color was golden yellow instead of crimson, he was slightly stunned.

Then his expression turned ugly.

He had misunderstood.

Sorcerer Spider-Man was not Chthon's apostle.

But seeing Wanda emerge afterward, his expression became strange.

What was going on?

"He is Sorcerer Spider-Man." Morlun pointed at Lucas, his expression terrified.

Solus frowned, highly displeased with Morlun's reaction, and reprimanded him, "It's just one defeat, isn't it? Why are you so flustered, anxious, and noisy? What kind of behavior is that?"

"It's you! It's actually you!"

The Blood God scrutinized Lucas for a moment, then also shouted in disbelief.

Solus: "..."

"My God, you know Sorcerer Spider-Man?"

The Blood God gritted his teeth. "I know him."

Of course I know him, I'd know him even if he turned to ash.

In his heart, if the female Ancient One was the number one scammer, then Lucas was an important accomplice. To some extent, his hatred for Lucas was even greater.

The female Ancient One was an opponent on his level, while Lucas was a bug.

A bug that constantly provoked and offended him.

Had he known Lucas would come, he would have sent a powerful avatar without Solus's sacrifice.

Lucas looked at the Blood God and smiled slightly.

"Blood God, long time no see, I've missed you dearly. Ever since our last parting, I haven't been able to forget your magnificent presence."

Hearing Lucas's words, the Blood God's expression turned ugly.

Although, he also couldn't forget Lucas and the Ancient One, their unforgettable memories were vastly different.

That encounter with Lucas and the Ancient One was not a pleasant memory for him.

However...

The Blood God sneered, "Sorcerer Spider-Man? A bug is indeed a bug, always liking to jump around."

"Last time in the 404 Universe, you had a magic array protecting you. This time, without a magic array, you have no wings to escape."

Lucas was unfazed by the Blood God's threat and said with a smile, "It seems you misunderstand me deeply. Your first reaction upon seeing an old acquaintance is to kill me."

After thinking for a moment, he continued, "But it's alright, I forgive you. After all, Blood God, you were my first major patron."

Lucas had a deep impression of the Blood God.

This was his first major patron.

He funded energy, allowing him to max out the second stage. And after the upgrade, he immediately maxed out the third stage, saving a lot of development time.

Hearing Lucas's words, the Blood God's expression grew even uglier.

This was exposing his shortcomings right to his face!

This was unbearable.

The Blood God looked at Solus. "Solus, I know this Sorcerer Spider-Man. With his strength, he can indeed defeat Morlun, but he is no match for you."

Just as Lucas and the Blood God were reminiscing, Tony quietly pulled Wanda and Pietro back a few steps, standing behind Lucas.

Wanda and Pietro asked, puzzled and confused, "What's wrong, Mr. Stark?"

Tony gestured towards the Blood God with his eyes and explained, "That person is the Blood God, a Dimensional Lord of the same rank as Mephisto. His energy can transform people into Vampires that are neither human nor ghost."

"Be careful. When the fight starts later, Lucas might not be able to look after us."

Dimensional Lord?!

Hearing Tony's explanation, Wanda and Pietro's expressions became serious, even a little nervous.

They had spent a lot of time researching Dimensional Lords recently. In Kamar-Taj's records, Dimensional Lords usually symbolized power, evil, and untouchability.

Immediately, their gazes towards the Blood God were filled with wariness.

The Blood God, Solus, and Morlun all possessed superhuman senses, so Tony's words were naturally heard clearly.

Hearing Tony say that Vampires were neither human nor ghost, their expressions were not very good, and their eyes all turned to him. Undoubtedly, if a fight broke out later, Tony would become their primary target.

Tony was not afraid.

He stood behind Lucas while shielding Wanda and Pietro behind him.

He did it on purpose.

Lucas sighed softly, "Blood God, old friends who haven't seen each other for a long time should be reminiscing about old times."

"Coincidentally, this is your territory, Blood God. You should fulfill your duties as a host, release your energy, and let me have a feast."

"Why are we already drawing swords after only a few words?"

Hearing Lucas's words, the Blood God could no longer suppress his anger.

"Solus, kill him!"

"As you wish."

Solus's voice was deep and confident.

He trusted the Blood God's judgment, the Blood God had just said that Sorcerer Spider-Man could defeat Morlun, but was not as strong as him.

As soon as he finished speaking, Solus moved, rushing towards Lucas at extreme speed.

Lucas stood still, unmoving, waiting for Solus to approach. As if he couldn't react, he seemed to be stunned.

Solus rushed in front of Lucas, then suddenly veered in another direction.

As the two passed each other, he threw a tentative punch. He didn't believe that Lucas hadn't reacted.

Lucas remained motionless.

Just as Solus's fist was about to hit him—

Bang!

A blast repelled Solus.

It was Tony!

He proactively blocked Soros.

King against king, general against general.

Tony hoped that Lucas could fully concentrate on dealing with the Blood God, without having to be distracted by Solus's threat.

Tony was unaware that the Blood God at this moment was just an empty shell, good for nothing but show.

"Jarvis, help capture Solus's movements and assist in evasion."

Solus was very fast. If e got close, Tony wasn't sure he could react in time.

But he had Jarvis.

"Yes, sir."
