Chapter 122 - Chapter 122: Punching Through the Island

"Ice-Make: Eagle, Iron Fist, Great Ape, Ice Dragon..."

As the magic power within his body poured out frantically, Lyon unleashed one Ice-Make Magic spell after another, continuously attacking Goku.

Goku casually shattered the creatures created by the ice magic one by one, looking at Lyon with some confusion.

The testing phase should be over; why was he still probing? It was time to show some real stuff.

"In that case, I'll go first!"

With a flash of his figure, Goku appeared in front of Lyon, raising his massive fist and smashing it downward: "Breath of Air - Fourth Form: Thunder Tiger Flash!"

A tiger's head made of Ki faintly appeared on his fist, and lightning flickered across his arm.

Facing this strike, Lyon seemed paralyzed with fear; his body couldn't move an inch, and he even forgot to cast any magic.

Fortunately, at that moment, Gray's urgent cry rang out in Goku's ear: "Goku, show some mercy!"

This shout caused Goku's fist to pause for a single second.

That one-second pause gave Gray the chance to create an ice path. He slid over rapidly, grabbed Lyon, and pulled him out of the range of Goku's fist.

Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!

Gray knew things were bad the moment Goku used Giant Magic.

Goku could defeat Erza even without using Giant Magic, let alone when he was using it.

Lyon's strength was at most slightly better than his own and far inferior to Erza's. What he just showed was already Lyon's peak strength; it wasn't some kind of 'test' at all.

So he immediately warned Goku, deeply afraid that his arrogant and prideful Master Brother would be killed by a single punch.

However, Goku's attack was so fast that even though Gray had spoken up in advance, he almost failed to save his Master Brother.

As you can see, don't brag for no reason. It's fine with others, but when you meet someone as simple-minded as Goku, it's easy to be misunderstood.

Countless fist shadows bombarded the ground. When the dust settled, everyone looked toward Goku.

They found a massive crater ten meters in diameter in front of him. The pit was so deep its bottom couldn't be seen; leaning over to look into the hole, one could faintly see the seawater at the bottom.

"He punched through the entire island?"

It was impossible to imagine what would happen if that punch landed on a person.

"Goku, Lyon isn't some'strongest Ice-Make Mage in history'; he's still far from our Master's level."

"Those magic spells just now were already the limit of what he can do."

Seeing Goku's face full of confusion, Gray immediately explained.

At this moment, Lyon still looked somewhat defiant, but after seeing that bottomless hole, he fell silent.

Now, he finally understood why his Master, Ur, always said there was always someone better, and that there were many powerful Mages in the western cities.

The child before him looked only twelve or thirteen years old, yet his strength was this terrifying.

He had originally thought his strength had long since surpassed Ur and Deliora, making him one of the top experts in this western region.

Looking at it now, it was just as his Junior Brother said: he was still far from it.

Suddenly, he felt somewhat fortunate. If he really had unsealed Deliora, it might not have been revenge.

He and the orphans from the northern cities who followed him would likely have all perished in Deliora's maw.

Then he truly would have become the sinner of the northern cities.

"Find a Mage Guild to join. Only then can you truly recognize your own strength."

Looking at the dejected Lyon, Gray sighed.

Lyon was so arrogant simply because he had stayed in the northern cities and hadn't experienced the harsh reality of the world.

Any slightly powerful Mages in the northern cities had died at the hands of Deliora ten years ago.

Naturally, there were no Mages left to teach Lyon a lesson.

But Gray was different. Since joining Fairy Tail, he realized how correct Ur's words had been.

Erza, Mirajane before her personality changed, Laxus, Mystogan, and that old man who forced the entire Magnolia Town to implement Gildarts Mode specifically for him...

Any one of them could completely crush him.

And then there was Natsu, whose strength was always on par with his own.

And that was just one guild, Fairy Tail.

So as long as Lyon joined a reasonably large guild and did more missions, he would naturally understand his true place in terms of strength.

"Alright, I thought I could have a satisfying fight."

Hearing this, Goku could only deactivate his Giant Magic, a look of regret appearing on his face.

He thought he had finally encountered a pro, but it turned out to be a beginner.

"Where did this guy come from?"

Not far away, hidden at the top of a large tree and taking in everything in the Village, a Masked Man's eyes were also filled with shock.

He had information on several S-Class Mages from the Fairy Tail Guild, but this child wasn't among them.

Furthermore, this child's strength was definitely beyond just S-Rank.

"With this guy around, it seems there's no hope of unsealing it. I'll head back and report to Jellal and the Master."

Glancing toward the distant temple, his eyes complicated, he decided to temporarily abandon the plan and leave the island.

Although he was confident in his own strength and wouldn't necessarily lose to that boy,

He couldn't expose his identity or strength yet, otherwise it would affect the subsequent plans.

Crucially, the moon was now gone. Without the moon, Moon Drip could not be produced, which meant Deliora could not be unsealed.

So there was no point in staying here.

Just as he turned to leave, he found that the boy from the Village had appeared behind him at some unknown point.

"Good evening. Are you with them?"

"No, I'm just passing through. Just passing through, leaving now."

The Masked Man was startled by Goku, but he reacted quickly, waving his hands and fleeing rapidly.

Seeing this, Goku didn't bother to give chase.

He had suddenly felt a surge of malice from this direction and noticed a presence hiding here.

So he had used Apparition to teleport over.

But since the other party had no intention of fighting and was just passing through, he naturally wouldn't chase him down to force a fight.

With the battle over, a completely subdued Lyon, along with his subordinates, gathered around the campfire and began to tell his story.

After learning from Gray that Ur had died at the hands of Deliora, he had vowed to break the Seal and kill Deliora with his own hands to avenge Ur.

And also to prove that his strength had already surpassed Ur's.

Upon hearing that he wanted to kill Deliora, the orphans from the cities destroyed by Deliora gathered under him one after another, including Sherry and others who had already joined Mage guilds.

However, while he was confident he could kill Deliora, he had no way to break Deliora's Seal.
