Chapter 5 - Chapter 5: I really want to study, but the system won't let me.

After finishing his shopping, Professor McGonagall led Charlie out of Diagon Alley.

"Here's your ticket," she said, handing Charlie a red ticket.

"September 1st, King's Cross Station, Platform Nine and Three-Quarters."

Charlie looked at the numbers on the ticket, puzzled.

"Professor, platforms have decimals?"

Professor McGonagall smiled mysteriously, "You'll know when the time comes."

Damn it, riddlers get out of Hogwarts!

On the way back to the Orphanage, Charlie secretly checked the system interface when Professor McGonagall wasn't paying attention.

[foolish monarch System]

[Host: Charlie White]

[magic Talent (omitted)]

[tyrant points: 8 points]

[Lottery Chances: 0 (10 points for one lottery draw)]

The system's explanation was simple: performing "foolish monarch behavior" would earn tyrant points, which could be used for lotteries. Lotteries could yield talent points, Spell proficiency, and other items.

Charlie pondered.

Massacre innocents? No, no, if he dared to kill, Dumbledore would dare to bury him, and as for who got buried, that's another matter.

Moreover, I was born under the red flag and grew up in the spring breeze, how could I do such a thing?

Excessive extravagance? That might be feasible, but he currently had too little money to squander.

Just as he was thinking, they arrived at the Orphanage. Professor McGonagall stopped at the entrance.

"Mr. White," she said earnestly.

"Your talent is excellent; don't waste it. You can preview your textbooks more before school starts."

Charlie nodded seriously.

"I will, Professor."

But in his heart, he thought, why do all teachers use the same speech?

Professor McGonagall smiled with satisfaction and turned to leave.

Charlie watched her disappear, then darted back to his room, tossing all his belongings onto the bed and collapsing heavily onto it himself.

What preview? Time to slack off!

[Congratulations, Your Majesty, for completing the foolish monarch behavior: Neglecting State Affairs, you have gained 1 tyrant point!]

"Haha, it really works!"

Charlie excitedly jumped up.

A few minutes passed, and the system's prompt appeared again.

[Congratulations, Your Majesty, for completing the foolish monarch behavior: Neglecting State Affairs, you have gained 1 tyrant point!]

[Current tyrant points: 10 points, you can perform one lottery draw!]

"Lottery!" Charlie said impatiently.

[Congratulations, Your Majesty, you have obtained the Spell: Incendio]

[Incendio (Level One): 0 / 100]

"How can I level up the Spell?" Charlie asked, puzzled.

[Replying to Your Majesty, self-practice or lottery draws can both increase proficiency, and it will automatically level up when proficiency is full.]

[Each Spell is divided into five levels.]

Charlie picked up his wand.

"Incendio."

A small flame immediately appeared at the tip of his wand, the orange-red fire dancing in the air, emitting a warm glow.

"Wow!"

Charlie exclaimed, his eyes fixed on the flame.

Sure enough, every Wizard starts with a fire magic.

The flame gradually grew larger with his emotional fluctuations, almost leaping onto the bedsheet.

Charlie hastily waved his wand, extinguishing the flame.

"Phew..."

Charlie sighed in relief, wiping the sweat from his forehead.

If he played with fire and burned the bedsheet, Grandma White would surely give him a good scolding.

He tried a few more times, carefully controlling the size of the flame each time, fearing another fire, and practiced for about half an hour.

[Incendio (Level One): 1 / 100]

"Forget it, I'm not practicing anymore."

Charlie tossed his wand aside and slumped onto the bed.

"Too tired."

[Congratulations, Your Majesty, for completing the foolish monarch behavior: Lazy and Neglecting Governance, you have gained 2 tyrant points!]

Charlie grinned. "This system is really on point."

This is the correct way to open magic.

He rolled over, staring at the ceiling.

The excitement of becoming a Wizard still flowed through him.

Charlie closed his eyes contentedly, listening to the occasional system prompts, and fell into a deep sleep... Over the next month, Charlie completely let himself go.

He slept during the day, neglecting state affairs, and went out at night, not sleeping. His tyrant points soared.

"Charlie, don't you need to look at those magic books?"

Grandma White couldn't help but ask one day.

Charlie was playing with the children from the Orphanage in the yard.

"It's okay, Grandma, I can study at school later," Charlie replied, turning to smile at Grandma White.

"I want to spend more time with you all; I won't have this much time once I go to school."

[Your Majesty is truly despicable, even deceiving an old grandmother, you have gained 3 tyrant points!]

Hey, you f***ing!

Grandma White smiled with relief; Charlie had been sensible since he was young, and even after becoming a Wizard, he still thought of them.

What more could she say?

Every night, Charlie would take Storm out for a walk.

This eagle owl was enormous and impressive, always drawing glances from passersby whenever it appeared.

Storm also seemed to enjoy the attention, always spreading its huge wings and letting out a majestic cry, scaring away curious cats and dogs.

After a month, Charlie's tyrant points had accumulated to an astonishing 910 points, allowing him to draw 91 times.

He gained proficiency in most basic Spells, such as the Levitation Charm, Repairing Charm, Alohomora, and so on.

However, talent points were truly difficult to draw; he only drew three in total, all of which he added to Transfiguration.

Now his panel was completely different.

[Your Majesty: Charlie White]

[Age: 11 years old]

[magic Talent Rating: (Max Level 10)]

[Transfiguration: 9]

[Charms: 8]

[Potions: 6]

[Defense Against the Dark Arts: 7]

[Herbology: 4]

[Astronomy: 4]

[History of Magic: 5]

[tyrant points: 9]

[magic Mastered: Transfiguration (Level One: 90 / 100), Incendio (Level Two: 360 / 500), Aguamenti (Level Two: 160 / 500), Levitation Charm (Level Two: 180 / 500), Repairing Charm (Level Two: 210 / 500), Alohomora...]

After a month of exploration, Charlie discovered that the higher his talent, the easier it was to cast the corresponding magic, and the stronger its power.

Although his Transfiguration was only Level One, his talent was already at Level Nine.

Now he could easily perform transformations between objects, and he often used this trick to amuse children, tricking them into thinking it was Magic.

Time flew by, and in the blink of an eye, it was September 1st.

Charlie woke up early and packed his luggage.

Although he usually slacked off, he was still very much looking forward to going to Hogwarts.

"Grandma, I'm leaving."

Charlie hugged Grandma White.

Grandma White, with red eyes, handed him a small package.

"Inside are the cookies I made for you. Eat them if you get hungry on the way."

"I'll miss you, Grandma," Charlie hugged Grandma White tightly.

"I'll write to you."

Grandma White patted his back.

"Go, study hard. Listen to your teachers at school."

Charlie nodded, dragging his suitcase and taking Storm, he set off on the road to King's Cross Station.

Charlie: Dad! Can you put my big self into your little bookshelf? Don't make me beg you.
