"Who?!"
The sudden attack instantly jolted her awake. Her previously mocking expression turned panic-stricken. Her fox-like eyes widened as she searched the darkness for her attacker.
Simultaneously, she dared not show the slightest negligence, rapidly activating her combat suit. Her voluptuous figure was instantly wrapped tightly in that blue-white attire.
"Honchkrow? Black sky... so it's you!"
When Rose detected Honchkrow's silhouette, the image of that cold man involuntarily surfaced in her mind.
Seeing Honchkrow's sneak attack had actually failed, Sieg was surprised as well. His understanding of Pidgeot's reaction speed grew.
After waiting for a few moments, Sieg simply stopped pretending. With her combat suit already activated, trying to assassinate her through sneak attacks was no longer realistic. He could only defeat her Pokémon head-on.
"Swish~~"
With a leaping bound, Sieg jumped down from an ancient tree, Crawdaunt and Honchkrow following close behind.
Just as he was about to contact the ground, a gentle breeze appeared beneath Sieg's feet, making him land smoothly.
"Heh~ Knew it was you. You must have heard that conversation just now. Originally, the twins wanted to target you, you know. I took their assault for you!"
Displeasure appeared on Rose's delicate face, her tone even carrying coquettish complaint.
Sieg just watched silently without speaking, but the murderous intent in the air grew increasingly thick. This made Rose, who'd been preparing a welcoming smile, instantly freeze.
"Oh my~ Black Sky, don't be so serious. How about we return to the Team Rocket base and... exchange informtaion thoroughly, discuss things in depth?"
Rose displayed a seductively charming expression, her eyes flickering with alluring light.
But Sieg keenly noticed Rose hadn't proactively mentioned the earlier attack on her. This made Sieg even more certain she was currently at the end of her rope.
Sieg sneered mockingly: "Put away your poison. You think I'm as easy to deal with as those two idiots?"
From their first encounter, Sieg had experienced her poison techniques' power. Naturally, he wouldn't let his guard down, maintaining extreme vigilance whenever they interacted.
After speaking, Honchkrow understood Sieg's meaning, directly flapping its wings to disperse the imperceptibly subtle toxins in the air.
This wind spread to Rose's side, blowing up her wine-red hair, instantly exposing her delicate neck to the air. Simultaneously exposed were two special devices on her neck, looking like some kind of poison-laced hidden weapons.
Sieg's eyebrow raised. He hadn't expected such a special discovery.
"This woman really is like a rose with thorns, dangerous from head to toe!"
Sieg's eyes gradually turned cold. Rose also noticed this subtle change, and couldn't help swallowing, fine sweat appearing on her snow-white skin.
"Black Sky, I can give you all the credit from this mission. Additionally, I can offer my entire fortune. How about letting me go?"
Rose seemed to know if she fucked this up, things wouldn't end well. She simply started bargaining with Sieg for benefits.
Truly adaptable, facing someone who'd just tried to kill her, she was still able to converse amiably.
But the more she acted this way, the more determined Sieg became to finish her off!
Letting someone so dangerous leave would surely come back to bite him.
"Hehe, if I kill you, the credit naturally becomes all mine anyway. As for your fortune, no need for you to give it, I'll take it myself!" Sieg's face wore a smile, but the killing intent in his eyes couldn't be concealed.
"Crawdaunt, Aqua Jet into Razor Shell."
"Umbreon, use Helping Hand."
"Sharpedo, Aqua Jet into Ice Fang."
"Honchkrow, use Tailwind to boost everyone!"
Sieg instantly issued commands to all his Pokémon. Full deployment, aside from the weaker Sandilek, this was his strongest current lineup.
Of course, Umbreon wouldn't charge to the front, but would stay close to Sieg for personal protection while using various status moves for support and harassment.
After all, in this kind of combat, the trainer's safety always came first.
"Venusaur, use Leech Seed!"
"Breloom, use Mach Punch to intercept Sharpedo!"
"Sunfloras, use Sunny Day together!"
"Pidgeot, use Air Slash to attack that Honchkrow!"
Boom!
As Rose's words fell, both sides' Pokémon moved simultaneously. They collided almost instantly.
Both commanded at least four Pokémon. This severely strained both, their Pokémon's autonomous combat ability and their own control capability.
Unfortunately, the battle situation was far from even. This made Rose's heart sink to rock bottom.
After all, her Pokémon had just experienced a battle. Their stamina was already exhausted, bodies still carrying numerous injuries.
"Damn it! Venusaur, catch this with Vine Whip and swallow it!"
Seeing the battle go to shit from the start, Rose knew if she didn't attempt to reverse this situation, only death awaited her.
She directly pulled a purple pill from her spatial equipment, obvious pain flashing in her eyes.
She'd obtained this from a Team Rocket Executive, even becoming his mistress for it. She'd originally planned to save it for the internal trials one year from now.
Sieg clearly saw Rose's action, but due to the distance, plus the dim nighttime lighting, he couldn't stop it in time.
The Venusaur that swallowed that purple pill instantly emanated crimson mist from its body surface. Its body rapidly expanded, obviously more than a size larger than its original form.
The aura on its body clearly rose continuously, still climbing.
Sieg instantly understood the pill's function, thinking this was bad.
"If that's the case, while Venusaur hasn't fully digested it, eliminate the other Pokémon!"
"Crawdaunt, help Sharpedo take out Breloom!"
"Umbreon, use Attract to interfere with Venusaur!"
"Honchkrow, use Brave Bird directly, target those two Sunflora behind!"
Since he couldn't prevent that Venusaur from swallowing that temporary strength-enhancing pill, he'd simply take advantage of the effect not being fully absorbed to eliminate the other troublesome Pokémon.
Especially those two Sunflora, their simultaneous Sunny Day provided a tremendous amplification for Venusaur.
Half of Venusaur's combat power rested on those two Sunflora, not to mention its Chlorophyll ability synergy.
