Cecilia knew Linden wanted to ask Sharon about the "kidnapping" face-to-face.
Cecilia's lips curled into a smile. "Of course I'm going. After all, she's my savior. It's only right that I thank her properly."
Linden nodded and walked into the room first.
Cecilia glanced down at her phone. Just a moment ago, Finn Hawthorne's sister had replied: Cecilia, you don't need to come over. My brother's all better now.
'All better?'
'He got better that quickly?'
Cecilia gave a cold smile and typed back, "Don't be so formal. I'm coming to see your brother right now."
Without waiting for a reply, Cecilia slipped her phone into her pocket and walked toward Sharon's room.
Sharon lay on the bed, wrapped in bandages. It was unclear if she knew the extent of her injuries, but tears streamed endlessly down her face.
"Godfather, am I going to be disabled from now on?"
