Serena Hughes's eyes were fixed on Damian Hawthorne's hand.
In that instant, Damian Hawthorne immediately let go.
Cecilia Nathan finally pulled her hand back.
Serena Hughes walked up to Damian Hawthorne and said in a low voice, "I'm sorry, am I interrupting?"
"Not at all." Before Damian Hawthorne could speak, Cecilia Nathan put some distance between them. "You're just in time."
Damian Hawthorne glanced at Cecilia Nathan, then said to Serena Hughes, "My assistant said you've been waiting for a long time. I'll take you to the old family estate tomorrow."
Damian Hawthorne didn't explain why he was in the same car as Cecilia Nathan.
Serena's heart felt as if it were being clawed at, but she knew she couldn't make a scene right now.
'I have to be more composed than Cecilia Nathan.'
"Mr. Hawthorne, I'm hungry," Serena Hughes said, lowering her head. Her voice was a mumble, with a hint of a childish pout.
