Chapter 31 - 1 V 3

MALEDICTION (23)

Brings you here on this night, kind sir?" Asked the eldest sister. "And especially when I am not at my best either."

 "Your best?"

"Yes, look at how I am dressed."

Her hands were muddy as well, it seemed as though she was sculpting.

Gil looked around, "You made all of this?"

She panned around and observed her work, like the proud artist she was, she gladly proclaimed her work.

"Well, its only natural that only someone of my stature would be able to produce work of such quality, I see that you have a good eye for such great craftsmanship…" Her expression quickly changed from nonchalant to prideful in a mere instance, this sudden left Gil shocked at this.

 "So, its like your hobby?"

"Hobby… I wouldn't describe it like that, how can something as sublime as any of my creations be a hobby? You cannot craft something this remarkable if it was only a hobby, I believe that if you thoroughly understand something and love it to its full extend than it is more than just a mere hobby, wouldn't you agree?"

 "uh, I guess."

"Naturally you'd agree with someone of great taste such as myself." She placed her palm on her chest as she gave a gleeful smile.

"You really do love your work, don't you?"

"Naturally of course, so which one is your favorite?"

"Favorite?" Honestly coming into this, he didn't really have the luxury of deciding which one of the many houses were his favorite.

 "What about that?"

The eldest sister looked up at what Gil was pointing at, it was the metallic thing that hung above them, from this angle Gil could clearly see that it was hung up by some strings. Surrounding the strings were panes of glass also strung by invisible threads.

"Oh, that isn't mine." She got back to staring at Gil, "It was my mother's."

Gil could tell from that sentence alone that the gusto she had in her voice had disappeared leaving behind a pale girl with a weird haircut.

 "Oh… sorry."

"No, its fine… its just that I haven't seen her since we killed her and father."

The most casual reveal ever. "Um… excuse me?" Gil's mouth was clearly wide open, honestly hiding his fear and disgust for these people was getting more and more difficult the longer he stayed around them.

"We killed them. Brother didn't think they were properly running the family." (She's referring to the eldest)

 "Properly running the family?"

"Yes, you see, we are an exceptional bunch of individuals. A few years ago back in Old London we were given certain… rare abilities, abilities that are common nowadays. Where that came from, we do not know, but it was only natural that we would use it to benefit ourselves." The eldest sister continued, "So we stole, killed and made merry whenever the occasion arose. Until maybe a couple of years ago we were contained within this island, and more specifically this house…"

"So what, now you kill any and all the children on this island?" Gil cut her off, "And you think that's fine?"

"Does it matter? Everything I do, I do for myself, it's the same with everyone else. When you are given a edge over someone else you use it."

"Yeah, but not to exploit them. Your just like those stupid white men. Coming to our home, sneaking into our society, promising us peace and salvation, just to kill, rape and abuse for no reason."

 "…?"

"Do you not understand that other people just want to be left alone?" This was getting serious, Gil had never been this proactive in anything prior to this moment. Ever since he had awakened, for lack of a better word, he's had all these swirling emotions that he's wanted to speak out. So many things that he wanted to say, in his heart all he wanted was for everyone he knew to live peacefully without any problems.

"It doesn't really matter what others want, if I'm stronger I get what I want."

"Damn it, all of you white folks are the same."

He grinded his teeth together and clenched his fists. "I hate all of you."

 "Oh?"

He jumped in for a punch, something that the old him wouldn't have thought to do. But the new him had other ideas, ideas he wanted to channel through his fists.

 "Just die!"

Out of nowhere his attack was blocked and in return Gil received an equal punch to the face that sent him flying backwards and knocking himself on the metal wall.

"Oh, where did you come from?" The eldest asked the middle brother.

"We were following the kind sir." He answered.

"Yes, he proved to be quiet slippery, but now that we've got him this should be a piece of cake." The youngest sister came from behind the door slower than her older brother.

 "Are you ok sister?"

"Naturally, if you hadn't have come I would've just used my magic on him." Answered the eldest sister.

"Maybe he would've countered. "Answered the middle brother.

"If he couldn't counter you, what makes you think he would've countered big sister." Asked the youngest sister.

"True, he has no control over his chi at all. Its basically pouring everywhere." Said the middle brother.

COUGH!

Gil got away from the wall stumbling as he walked.

"He's up already, he might be tougher than we think."

 "Yes."

 "Indeed."

He had a black eye and he was bleeding from his gums, his shoulder bone was displaced and maybe three of his ribs were broken. But as long as he could stand, then fighting wasn't a problem now was it?"

"You ugly bastards." He was wheezing and appeared like a drunk man chasing rats from his granary in the summer as he confused them for squirrels.

 "Oh?"

"I'll take care of him." Commanded the middle brother as he cracked his knuckles.

"I'll warn you now, I'm not as kind as my little brother." His expression turned to that of pure rage. "Let's move!"

BOOM!

Gil took a punch to the stomach that left him wheezing even more as he got on his knees.

"C'mon, show us that hidden power you used on my brother!" He shouted.

'Damn, I'm getting a bit dizzy." Gil wiped his face, 'I can't get hit with another one of those things otherwise I'm done for.'

"Damn bastard." The middle brother raised his fist and channeled all of that anger into it.

SMASH!

He created a small dent in the ground, that small dent would have had Gil's blood, if he hadn't been able to dodge it.

'This is a battle of fragment energy and chi control.' Gil thought, 'If I can manage to flow chi to a specified spot where the impact is going to land and I can protect myself from further damage, but I also have to direct that same energy into my muscles to dodge at high speed, not only that I also have to channel it into my arms and fist for the perfect counter.'

He stared down the middle brother, 'It doesn't seem like the sisters are going to help, so I can focus my attention on him.

Taking his stance, he clenched his fists. For someone who's never fought before he sure does look the part.

'Here he comes.'

SMASH!

Instantaneously Gil blocked it by sending chi rapidly to his stomach. While it did protect him from critical damage, it didn't prepare him for the amount of pain he felt.

"Give up kind sir. And just die at my hand."

NOPE!

"I'm sorry, but that isn't in my agenda sadly." He focused all of his chi and sent it up his fist and punched.

SMASH!

This sent the middle child stumbling back.

"Is that all you've got?" He wiped his face, "The I have nothing to be worried about…"

Suddenly as he was raising his right arm up it fell back down swinging back and forth.

 "What… what's happening?"

"He! He He!" Gil began chuckling to himself.

Gil had noticed that whenever he builds up a large amount of fragment energy and sends it anywhere in his body it builds up a current, a small current but still.

When this current interacted with the youngest brother's nervous system it shut down his brains connection to his arms and legs making his muscles arrested and thus they don't move. But he doesn't know all this, his biology isn't that great.

In short if he produces a strong enough current he can permanently paralyze you. But it does take a toll on his body.

 "Come again!"

The two of them charged at each other landing a critical punch onto each other's chin.

SMASH!

"GYAA!" His left hand followed soon. "Damn it!"

 "Sorry not sorry!"

Gil wound up for another punch. "This one's for Knob." But before he could get a critical hit in, the man's head flew off his neck in an instant landing a couple of feet away.

Behind his body was the youngest daughter, he hand was outstretched, she had used her hand as a knife of sorts to cut through the middle brother's head.

"I can't believe you were about to lose. Idiot!" She flicked her wrist to get some of the blood off.

"Alright kind sir, its your turn to die." She turned over to Gil. Her eldest sister just stood back and watched.

Meanwhile Gil could feel a large amount of anger building up inside of him.

"You killed your only brother without even trying to help him?"

"Huh?" The youngest wondered what he was even yammering on about.

Wiping his bloody nose he proclaimed.

"You people really are scum."

NOW HE'S GOT A FIRE IN HIS BELLY.
