"He's such a loser, always on the verge of tears... Ta-ta-ta-ta~"

Jinx sang her own demented little soundtrack as she clicked the final detonator into place. A neon green blur descended from the ceiling—Chen, skidding to a halt on his hover-sword.

"All done?" he asked, glancing at the primed charges.

Jinx beamed, her eyes wide with a manic sparkle as she hopped onto her board. "All done~ Just waiting for the big, beautiful BOOM now!"

Chen didn't waste time with small talk. He signaled her, and they raced toward the detention block. Down below, Ekko was still struggling with a heavy iron lock, his face set in a look of grim determination. He was so focused on the rescue that he hadn't noticed the glass vats behind him. The purple liquid was draining, bubbling away into floor grates.

Chen hopped off his board and ran toward one of the armored suits. Up close, it looked terrifyingly familiar. He'd seen this silhouette on the Rift a thousand times. When his hand brushed the cold, alchemical steel, his HUD flickered to life:

Item: Turbo Chemtank (Mythic)

Stats: +350 Health, +25 Armor, +25 Magic Resist, +20 Ability Haste.

Active - Supercharge: +40% Move Speed toward enemies. Emits a shockwave that slows enemies by 50%.

Passive - Immolate: Deals magic damage per second to nearby enemies.

"No way..." Chen whispered. "A Chemtank? This is S11 meta-gear!"

This was the same armor the Shimmer Warriors wore in the show—Singed's masterpiece of chemical warfare. The stats were insane.

"I want it. I need it," Chen muttered, eyeing the suit. But then he remembered the catch: the suit was literally piped with raw Shimmer. Wearing it meant instant poisoning. "So close, yet so far. I can't put it on without turning into a mutant."

Then, a system prompt saved him:

System Tip: Items provide stats and effects when placed in the Equipment Slots. Physical donning is not required for stat bonuses.

Chen's eyes widened. He opened his character sheet and found a small backpack icon. Six empty slots. He reached out, grabbed the massive, head-taller-than-him suit of armor, and... shove.

The armor vanished into thin air, appearing as a small icon in his inventory next to his Heart of Gold.

"This is very League of Legends," Chen grinned. His resistances and health shot up instantly. He felt like he'd just transitioned from a squishy caster to a mid-game Juggernaut.

He reached for a second suit, hoping to stack them, but the system slapped him with a red error:

Limit: You may only equip one Mythic item.

"Classic Riot balance," he grumbled.

"Su Cheng! Do that again!" Jinx suddenly appeared at his shoulder, poking his arm. Her eyes were full of glee. "That big, ugly bucket just went poof! Do it again! Make the other ones disappear!"

"It's not a magic trick, Jinx," Chen said, but before he could explain, a loud CLANG echoed through the room.

Ekko had finally broken the lock. He burst into the cages, frantically untying the prisoners. "Go! Exit to the right, take the small tunnel! You have to move, now!"

The prisoners looked at the masked boy as if he were a god. "Our savior... who are you? How can we repay you?"

"I'm nobody," Ekko said, his voice urgent. "I'm with the Firelights. We're here for Zaun. Now run!"

Hiss... Hiss... Hiss...

The sound of pressurized steam filled the chamber. The glass vats were empty. The bay doors slid open with a burst of toxic gas, and five Shimmer Warriors—each clad in their own Turbo Chemtank—stepped out into the light. Their eyes glowed a sickly, chemical violet.

Chen gripped his lamppost, feeling the weight of the new stats in his blood. Jinx, for the first time, looked genuinely cautious. She poked Chen's arm. "Hey... maybe we retreat? Those look like big, unfun problems."

Ekko stepped up beside them, his board humming. He held his metal rod like a knight's lance. "Go. Take the prisoners and run. I'll hold them back."

Chen shook his head. He knew the math. These guys were endgame mobs. In the future, it would take Jayce with a Hextech Hammer and "Unlimited Firepower" to bring these things down.

"We can't win this, Ekko. Let's pull back," Chen said firmly. He wasn't going to let Powder die here.

Ekko's grip tightened. "The Firelights exist to save people. If I run now, what are we? I'm staying. buy them time."

Jinx rolled her eyes, ready to leave—but then her expression softened. The "Powder" side took the wheel. She looked at Ekko's determined face and sighed. "Fine. If the 'Little Man' is being a hero, I guess I can't let him have all the fun. I'm in."

Chen shrugged, a resigned smile touching his lips. He might be willing to let random strangers go, but he'd never abandon his team. He hoisted his lamppost onto his shoulder and stepped in front of his friends.

"Alright then. Let's see how much health this 'Turbo Tank' really gives me."
