Chapter 2 - Hellish Blizzard

In front of the factory.

Several heroes had already given up on the idea of fighting a Demon-level monster.

Especially after two luxury cars pulled up.

They hurried away almost immediately, clearly afraid of offending whoever was about to step out.

Luo Yu was still some distance away.

Yet he could clearly see the beautiful woman draped in a snow-white cloak.

Short black hair. Green eyes.

Tall and slender, fair-skinned, with refined features and a sharp, commanding gaze—undeniably stunning.

There was no doubt about it.

This was Hellish Blizzard from the anime.

Still, although her group had quite a few top-tier B-Class heroes, taking on a Demon-level monster should be extremely difficult.

Unless… that Demon-level monster wasn't particularly strong?

No matter what, Luo Yu sincerely hoped—

That she could lead her entire group and wipe out the Demon-level Fan Monster in one decisive blow.

Though, if he remembered correctly, Blizzard had a habit of suffering setbacks…

Ahem. If those twenty-plus people really couldn't handle it—

Worst case, he'd just step in at the right moment.

It wasn't that big of a deal.

Once a large number of Blizzard Group members poured into the factory, the commotion inside grew even louder.

"This monster… its wind manipulation is insanely strong…"

"But Miss Blizzard is here now—this should be fine!"

"With Miss Blizzard's ability, she'll definitely defeat it!"

The heroes who had been locked in a stalemate with the Fan Monster immediately recognized the familiar sound of high heels.

They instantly realized who had arrived.

Their faces lit up with joy, as if they were already seeing the light of victory—despite the monster not yet being defeated.

Blizzard walked forward unhurriedly, completely ignoring the raging winds, as though they couldn't harm her in the slightest.

She tossed her cloak to a subordinate beside her.

Her lips curved into a confident, captivating smile.

"You're all in the way. Get out of here."

"I can handle this alone."

Amid the howling winds, a spherical psychic barrier formed around her body.

Blizzard possessed telekinetic powers. Though she was only ranked first among B-Class heroes, her true strength could easily place her high within A-Class.

That was clearly the confidence she relied on to face a Demon-level monster head-on.

As her words fell, her presence changed instantly.

Her eyes turned razor-sharp, her long hair lifting skyward as countless fragments of stone rose into the air around her.

"Hellish Blizzard!"

The stones shot forward like a torrential storm, hurtling straight toward the Fan Monster.

Crackling sounds rang out continuously as the debris smashed against its body.

Under such dense firepower, the monster's outer shell began to crack apart.

But suddenly—

Its fan spun violently.

The raging wind instantly halted the flying stones midair—then blew them straight back along their original path.

Blizzard's pupils contracted sharply. Her face turned pale.

"Hahaha! Foolish humans!"

"With strength like this, you think you can defeat me? What a joke!"

The overwhelming wind lifted the entire Blizzard Group into the air, sending them flying straight toward the wall.

"Tsk… she really did crash."

"Her ability was completely countered, and she didn't even realize it…"

"Well… with that obsessive big-sister esper backing her up, maybe she really doesn't feel threatened."

"That must be why she dares to charge a Demon-level monster so recklessly."

Watching this unfold, Luo Yu felt both regretful and speechless.

He immediately began inscribing a talisman in midair.

"Wall-Passing Talisman!"

The talisman merged into his body. With a single impact against the wall, he passed straight through it without any resistance.

Meanwhile, the Blizzard Group—completely unaware of what had just happened—was drawing closer and closer to the wall.

They were about to slam into it.

Blizzard herself, once elegant and dazzling, now had her clothes torn in many places by flying debris. Her eyes were unfocused as she stared blankly at the Fan Monster.

"How could this happen… how could even I—"

Before she could finish—

A brilliant blue talisman suddenly floated in front of her.

The light grew brighter and brighter.

Around it, a violent cyclone erupted, shaking the ground itself.

In an instant, it canceled out the Fan Monster's gale.

The Blizzard Group members fell to the ground one after another, like dumplings dropping into a pot.

"Who was that? A new member of our group?"

"He looks unfamiliar… but that wind just now was incredible!"

"Did we just gain another esper?"

"The new guy really hid himself well—he can actually control such powerful wind!"

The Blizzard Group members all mistook Luo Yu for a new recruit and burst into excited chatter.

At this moment, Luo Yu had no time to clear up the misunderstanding.

He stepped to the front of the group, facing the monster whose body resembled a giant fan with a human-like face.

"You damn human! Where did you crawl out from?"

"To wield such powerful wind and ruin my plans—unforgivable!"

"Absolutely unforgivable!"

"Destruction Hurricane Cannon!"

The Fan Monster spun its massive fan at even higher speed than before.

A hurricane-like blast shot forward like a cannonball.

But Luo Yu's talisman writing was even faster.

Before the wind could travel more than a few meters—

The talisman was complete.

"Five-Thunder Talisman!"

A blinding bolt of lightning shot out instantly.

Moving faster than the eye could follow, it pierced straight through the hurricane and struck the Fan Monster.

Crack!

Black smoke rose as the lightning hit.

The fan, which had been spinning at extreme speed, suddenly stopped dead.

"That's impossible!"

"You can use lightning too?!"

"How can one person have two esper abilities?!"

On the ground, the Blizzard Group members stared wide-eyed, looking at Luo Yu as if he were a monster himself.

"He's insane—he can use wind and lightning?!"

"Since when did our group have someone this strong?"

"Could he be a secret elite they've been hiding?"

Blizzard stared at Luo Yu with a strange expression.

But soon, realization dawned on her.

"I remember now… he's a newly promoted B-Class hero."

"He appeared right when we were in danger…"

"Could it be… he came here to join me?"

At that thought, her heart skipped a beat.

A hint of anticipation crept into her chest.

At the same time, the Fan Monster—having recovered—glared furiously at Luo Yu.

"I admit you're fairly strong."

"But a monster's body is incredibly resilient! I've already adapted to your puny lightning!"

"Now—continue facing death!"

"Super Destruction Hurricane Cannon!"

The hurricane cannon that had been erased by lightning earlier was launched again, its power seemingly even greater than before.

Yet Luo Yu remained completely calm.

His hand moved once more, inscribing talismans in the air.

This time, though, it was different.

After completing one, he immediately inscribed three more.

"If one strike isn't enough…"

"How about four?"

"Quadruple Thunder Talisman!"

Bzzzz—!!!

In an instant, the factory was filled with explosive thunder.

A bowl-thick bolt of blue lightning burst forth like a laser beam!

Boom!

A deafening explosion echoed through the building.

The Fan Monster's body exploded apart—leaving only the fan blades intact.

"S-so strong… that lightning was terrifying…"

"This is unbelievable… a powerhouse like this actually exists, and we've never even seen him before…"

"With strength like that, even among A-Class heroes, he'd be top-tier!"

As the Fan Monster was completely obliterated, the Blizzard Group members slowly stood up.

They stared at Luo Yu's back, their faces filled with shock and awe.
