Chapter 9 - Weapon Forging

"Why are you all staring at me? Look at Mr. Luo Yu instead—slurp."

As she spoke, Hellish Blizzard casually sucked the salad dressing from the corner of her lips.

Not only did she show no embarrassment—she even looked a little reluctant, as if savoring the taste.

The implications were… dangerous.

Gulp.

Swallowing sounds echoed through the room in unison.

When everyone finally shifted their gazes to Luo Yu, their eyes were wide with curiosity.

"Mountain Ape, come here for a moment."

Mountain Ape froze when his name was called, but he didn't dare delay and quickly stepped forward.

"Mr. Luo Yu, what do you need?"

"What weapon do you use? Take it out and let me see."

Mountain Ape reached into his pocket and pulled out two small iron weapons.

Each had five finger holes and a sharp blade extending from the front—

A simple pair of brass knuckles with blades.

Luo Yu took the knuckle-daggers, grabbed a piece of superalloy, and said calmly,

"What I'm going to do now is fuse this superalloy into your weapon."

"During the process, I'll also be giving it new abilities."

Mountain Ape felt something was off.

"Mr. Luo Yu… fusing superalloy into these knuckles is basically impossible."

"To maintain flexibility, only a tiny amount of superalloy can be added."

"This weapon has already been refined by dozens of smiths, and they all said the same thing. What you're suggesting…"

Hearing this, the others grew suspicious as well.

"I don't really understand forging, but merging metal into a finished weapon like this… even magic tricks aren't that absurd, right?"

"Yeah, this idea sounds strange. Is Mr. Luo Yu joking with us?"

As doubts spread, Blizzard—who had also been skeptical at first—lost her patience.

"If Mr. Luo Yu proposed it, then he must have confidence."

"Mountain Ape, all of you go back for now. Come back in a few days to see the finished weapon."

The others immediately shut their mouths and prepared to leave.

But Luo Yu suddenly spoke.

"Wait. When did I say this would take a long time?"

"Just wait a moment. I'll finish it very quickly."

As he spoke, he held the superalloy in one hand and activated Divine Machine Crafting.

In just a few seconds, he established a strange connection with the metal.

The superalloy—normally proud, aloof, and unyielding—

Now lay in Luo Yu's hand as if it had completely opened itself to him.

It allowed him to shape it freely.

The crowd that had been doubting him a moment ago began questioning reality itself.

"T–This… is this really superalloy?"

"How did it become so soft?! Is this still superalloy?"

"No way… forging without fire, without time—does a method like this really exist?"

Those who had doubted him now stared unblinkingly at his hands.

Afraid of missing even a single detail.

As if they were witnessing the creation of the world itself.

The more they watched, the more awe-filled they became.

The superalloy suddenly liquefied, completely enveloping the knuckle-daggers.

To reduce metal that hard into a liquid—

Aside from Divine Machine Crafting's matter manipulation—

Luo Yu had also reinforced the process with Qi Entity Origin Flow.

The superalloy instantly became a pool of liquid metal.

He refined the knuckle-daggers just as quickly.

But to preserve their size and shape, he didn't alter their form.

Instead, for every bit of superalloy absorbed, an equal amount of foreign metal was expelled.

Gradually, the liquid metal solidified.

The originally dark-silver knuckles slowly turned pitch black.

The entire process took less than a minute.

The spectators felt dizzy, as if their worldview had been shattered.

"These knuckles have more to them," Luo Yu said calmly.

"Watch closely."

He slipped the weapon onto one hand, picked up another piece of superalloy with the other, and injected qi into the knuckle-dagger.

Instantly, a layer of high-speed compressed wind formed at the blade's tip.

Clang—!

A sharp metallic screech rang out.

Sparks exploded across the room.

The intact superalloy—

Snap.

It split cleanly into two pieces.

The room fell into absolute silence.

Jaws hung open, as if they were about to hit the floor.

"Miss Blizzard," Luo Yu asked casually, "are you satisfied with this?"

"…This is the artifact you mentioned?"

"It's incredible… but are you sure all of us can use it?"

Blizzard's voice was slightly dazed, but she'd hit the key point.

Luo Yu looked at her with approval and nodded.

"Of course."

"Besides giving you artifacts, I'll also teach you how to use your own internal energy."

"Every one of you will be able to unleash the full potential of these weapons."

The main reason was simple—

The Blizzard Group was still too weak.

Over twenty people, yet they could only reliably secure the energy from a single Demon-level monster per day.

Most of the time, they couldn't even get a chance to fight Demon-level monsters.

So there was no point being stingy with qi.

Qi Entity Origin Flow was meant to be passed on.

After all, having qi without knowing how to use it was like firing blanks—

All show, no substance.

There was no need to worry about students surpassing the master.

Cultivating the Eight Extraordinary Techniques depended heavily on aptitude.

Most people who practiced Fenghou Qimen went insane.

Divine Machine Crafting wasn't something you could hand to a random passerby and instantly make them overpowered.

Qi Entity Origin Flow wasn't simple either.

Easy to start—but extremely difficult to master.

Yet when the Blizzard Group members heard this—

They completely lost their composure.

Not only was Luo Yu crafting unimaginable artifacts for them—

He was also going to teach them how to use their internal energy?!

Just thinking about Luo Yu's godlike methods made their hearts pound violently.

Whether or not he'd teach true techniques aside—

Simply being able to wield such artifacts was already exhilarating.

Superalloy knuckle-daggers and untreated superalloy were the same material.

Under normal circumstances, it would be impossible for one to cut the other.

Yet this unbelievable scene had appeared so casually in Luo Yu's hands.

And he had guaranteed that every single one of them could achieve this.

What could possibly be more shocking than that?

As everyone's minds reeled—

Blizzard crouched down, staring at Luo Yu with confusion.

"Mr. Luo Yu… everyone knows there's no such thing as a free lunch."

"You're willing to give us all of this—what do you want us to do in return?"

At her question, the others grew tense.

Custom-made high-tech weapons were usually reserved for S-Class heroes.

Ordinary heroes never even had the chance.

Otherwise, everyone would be like Metal Knight.

Yet Luo Yu remained gentle and relaxed, replying without hesitation.

"Nothing special."

"Just work harder to eliminate monsters."

"Bring the ones you defeat to me for exorcism—that's the best repayment I could ask for."

Including Blizzard, everyone present was deeply moved.

Some of them were on the verge of tears.

These weren't mere talismans—

They were real weapons.

With artifacts like these, not only would soloing Tiger-level monsters be trivial—

Even Demon-level monsters would be worth challenging.

But what they didn't yet realize—

Was that something even more unbelievable was still to come.

After completing the artifact forging for the entire Blizzard Group,

Luo Yu personally bestowed Qi Entity Origin Flow seeds upon each of them.

Though it was only a seed, it was more than enough to let them wield the artifacts with ease.

What surprised Luo Yu, however—

Was that Blizzard's presence changed more noticeably than the others.

Her abilities seemed to have improved further, subtly but clearly different.

Could it be… that qi has a connection to psychic power as well?
