Chapter 3 - The Lawless Part Of Town

Chapter Three..

In the small crib of Cresten city Fiona sat her hands combing sparkles golden fur, Fiona took her bag and snuck out of the house and into the streets.

She decided to look for a job outside Cresten city, it was the best decision she did not want her step mother to find out about her job.

This was it, the city looked so different from Cresten Fiona sat in the cab looking confused she did not even know where to begin.

"Are you new here?." The driver asked her and she nodded.

"Im looking for a job."Fiona replied.

"Why don't you check out that restaurant, they might need waitresses, most of the firms and restaurants here are owned by the Jackson's." I lifted a brow wondering why he added that extra information.

She headed towards the restaurant, my heart beating rapidly. This was going to be her first interview.

Fiona went into the restaurant and saw a waitress there.

"Can I see the manager I'm looking for a job." Fiona asked politely, she clutched her lower abdomen as hunger kicked in.

Fiona got into the office and realized that the only vacant post available was that of a dish washer.

Fiona thought about it was 5000$ a month worth it. She accepted either at least she had a job. The manager also promised to feed them twice a day.

Fiona got into a cab today she couldn't back home, but she noticed something happening behind her; an old lady being robbed and no one did anything to stop the thief.

The people went on minding there business the thief did not even bother to cover his face what sort of city was this.

Fiona came down from the cab.

Out of nowhere the thief felt a heavy blow on his head.

The thief staggered and his hold on the old lady's purse became weak he fell to the floor with one knee.

The people took there phones and recorded.

"Come with me quickly dear, before he regains consciousness." The old lady urged Fiona and she got into her car.

The old lady looked at Fiona curiously and smiled the car drove faster than usual and the doors locked.

Fiona panicked could that have being a plan was she working with the thief.

Fiona hit the door and screamed but the old lady laughed even more.

"No one cares about you here little lady, don't you ever learn." Fiona held the old lady's throat and threatened to kill her if the driver does not unlock the door now.

The driver parked the car and pointed a gun aiming at her head.

"What do you want, I don't have any money, any family?." Fiona screamed with tears in her eyes.

Fiona did not want to be in this part of the world anymore, the people here were nonchalant and cruel no one cares when you scream for help.

Fiona looked out the window and saw a young lady dressed she looked like a wealthy woman.

The young lady was speaking to a young man Fiona tried her best to get her attention.

"Let go of her!." The driver threatened.

Fiona tightened her grip on the old lady's neck. The driver watched as the old lady gasped for hair, and her face was already red.

"If you love her so much let me go!." Fiona screamed with a loud voice hoping the young lady would hear her and she did.

As the young lady walked towards the car the driver stepped on the brakes driving off immediately.

"We have to follow them, that girl might be in trouble." The young lady urged her boyfriend.

"If doesn't matter, don't you get how this town works. What if they are all scammers. I won't let you risk your life for a stranger." The young lady's boyfriend discouraged her.

The young lady ignored her boyfriend and hurriedly followed the car.

Meanwhile Fiona finally let go of the old lady and fought for the steering wheel.

The driver was so reckless he did not care if she lost her life or not, he was not here for a simple accident but for Fiona's death.

As they both struggled a car hit the car Fiona was in from behind the driver lost control, Fiona opened the door of the passengers seat and jumped out.

"How could you call me when I am driving, not just driving I'm on a mission."

The young lady yelled at her boyfriend. The young lady quickly ended the call and drove over to her while the driver drove off speedily not wanting to be seen.

"It's good you are not injured." Fiona took the young lady's hand and stood to her feet.

She needed to get to school but she was already far away and had lost her bag in the first taxi.

"Do you live around here?." The young lady asked.

"Thankyou for helping me." Fiona tried to sound as grateful as possible.

The young lady took Fiona back to Crescent City, it was already six in the evening Fiona decided to go home.

"Here, this is my card call me whenever you need any help." The young lady left.

Meanwhile…

Sabastein's eyes were filled with helplessness as he looked at Reed for help somehow he knew that Reed could help him.

"Why are you staring at me?." Reed asked dryly.

"Listen I will pay you your money but first you have to tell me how you found out that I was here." Sabastein protested.

"Security!!." Louis finally asked the guards to throw them out, they were beginning to cause a scene.

Reed smiled feeling satisfied, he nodded his and Louis smiled.

He would not let anyone embarrass his master as long as he was with him.

"Im going home." Reed announced to Louis as he rolled himself towards his car.

Reed logged into his Instagram and saw many pictures of Fiona getting involved in a fight far away from Cresten.

Reed looked at the photo of the young lady lifting Fiona from the ground, she looked familiar but where was she from.

He sent the photo to Louis asking to find every information about the woman before dawn.

Reed's driver arrived at the gate of Reed's mansion.

He helped him down from the car and took him in, Reeds aunt was very excited to see him.

"Speak of the angel and he appears." Reeds aunt giggled.

"Listen dear, your sister was about to buy this beautiful dress she saw on Amazon, when she realized that she could not find your card." Reeds aunt stammered trying to be careful with her words.

Reed simply asked the maid to help him to his room, everyone in this family was simply selfish no one cared if he got better or just died all they needed was his card.

"Reed, aunt just asked you a question and you are ignoring her, what's wrong with you, I want that dress. Don't you love me anymore?."

Reed sighed, he hated coming home.

"If you want that dress so much, why don't you buy it with your own money." Reed's words pierced through his aunt's heart.

Maya was his stepsister but he loved her and gave her everything she demanded but today he was not the same step brother she knew.

Reeds phone beeped as he received the information he had requested from Louis.

Reed smirked, he knew exactly how to get rid of her but first he must find out what Fiona was doing in that lawless part of town.
