Lyra's POV

The fury boiling in my veins erupted through the phone line like molten lava. Every word I screamed was laced with weeks of pent-up frustration and betrayal.

"There's so much I don't understand because no one tells me anything!" My voice cracked as I shouted into the receiver. The rage consuming me felt justified, necessary even. I was drowning in a sea of secrets and half-truths.

"You kept me locked away from everything!" The accusations poured out of me like a broken dam. "You ripped me from this world, then act shocked when I can't navigate it. I never asked to be hidden away, and I sure as hell didn't ask to be thrown back into this mess without warning!"

The satisfying slam of the phone hitting its cradle echoed through the room. My chest heaved as I tried to catch my breath after hanging up on the Queen of werewolves herself - my own mother.
