Chapter 11 - Returning to the Academy

After several nights of secret training, Mira returned to her normal routine at the academy.

On the outside, nothing had changed.

She still wore the same uniform.

She still walked quietly through the halls.

She still kept her head low.

But inside, she was different.

Her steps felt steadier. Her breathing was calmer. The fear that once ruled her heart had slowly softened.

As she entered the classroom, a few students glanced at her.

Something felt… strange.

They could not explain it, but the air around Mira seemed quieter, heavier.

During training class, students practiced magic as usual. Sparks of fire and waves of wind filled the yard.

Mira stood at the back, just like before.

When her turn came, she raised her hand slightly — then stopped.

She remembered the spirit's warning.

Hide your power.

So she lowered her hand and pretended nothing happened.

The instructor frowned.

"Still nothing?" he asked.

Mira nodded silently.

Some students laughed softly, but the sound did not hurt her like before.

Because this time, Mira knew the truth.

During break time, a girl whispered to her friend, "Did she always feel this calm?"

Mira heard it — and walked away.

That evening, as she looked at the setting sun, she realized something important.

She no longer needed others to believe in her.

Because she had begun to believe in herself.
