Chapter 6 - Chapter 5: The Stalker Reveal

I was sitting in my office when the door suddenly opened and Raghav Sharma walked in.

"Hii Suryansh! How are you? " he said casually.

I looked at him calmly.

"First of all, where are your manners? I am your boss. You have to ask my permission before entering my office."

He smiled like he always does.

"I know you are my boss. But that is only in front of others. In private, we are best friends. So keep your attitude to yourself. And it's my wish whenever and however I come into this office. You can't stop me because I am not going to listen to you."

He paused dramatically.

"And I came back after a whole week and instead of asking about me or hugging me, you are yelling. Wow. What a welcome, bro."

"How many times have I told you to speak a little slowly? The whole office will hear you," I said.

"You are afraid of them? Don't tell me you are the person who scares everyone but is afraid of them," he laughed. "Those poor people, what will they even do? Because of you they don't even have the courage to say anything."

"Stop exaggerating. I have not done anything as dramatic as you're saying."

"Oh really?" he said. "Then just go outside the office for no reason and see how every employee straightens up when they see you. And you are saying you don't do anything."

"That's not fear. That's discipline. I have maintained discipline in my office. Only you and those three don't follow it."

"And we are not even going to," he replied proudly. "Because we don't want to become a disciplined machine like you. You were never like this before. You were chill."

"I was and I am the same. I haven't changed. You have just become more frank."

He rolled his eyes.

"Anyway, tell me. The government project deal in Delhi is completed?"

"Of course it's ours. No one touched the benchmark we set in that presentation. The CM was asking about you, by the way. But I handled everything."

"Good," I nodded.

"And you tell me, your task completed? The one for which you didn't attend that high-profile meeting?" He asked

"What am I even asking? You not completing your task? That's not even possible." Then answered himself.

"They agreed. They had to. Because I didn't leave them a choice," I said.

Just then the door knocked.

"Yes, come in."

Siddhi entered. She looked at Raghav.

"You came back?" she asked him.

"Just ten minutes ago," he replied.

"How was the meeting?" she asked.

"Superb. Our presentation was so strong that they had to give us the deal."

She smiled. "Glad we got that task completed. Congrats to us. Suryansh don't you dare to say no, because it's time for double celebration."

Raghav looked confused. "Double celebration? What's the other one?"

Siddhi looked at me.

"Suryansh... I found her."

I leaned back slightly.

"You did? In just five hours out of twenty-four? Well done, Siddhi. Your efficiency has improved a lot," I said teasingly.

She frowned slightly. "My efficiency was good before also."

"Okay, okay. Relax. I was joking."

Both Raghav and Siddhi looked at me in shock.

"You're joking?" they said at the same time.

"So what? You said I became a discipline machine. I decided to try humour. And you both are reacting like this? Fine. I'll stay serious only."

Raghav laughed. "I didn't know you would take my words so seriously. That's why we're shocked."

Then he looked at Siddhi. "By the way, what's going on? Whom did you find?"

"That obsessed lover of Suryansh," she said teasingly.

I gave her a firm look.

Raghav laughed. "But her chapter was closed. She stopped sending flowers. We even caught that delivery guy. What happened suddenly?"

"She sent red roses again today. With a note. And a threat," Siddhi replied.

"What kind of threat?" Raghav asked.

I handed him the note.

He read it and looked up.

"So she knows about you? That means she might know about our plans too."

"We don't know that yet," I said calmly. "But we will know soon."

"Siddhi, what did you find about her ? who is she?" I asked

"She is Ruhi Kashyap. Ex-employee from your department. You fired her on your third day at office two months ago, because of her unprofessional behaviour."

I remembered her.

"So she has been sending the flowers and these notes to me for so long. I could have believed that she can do that. But today's threat... I don't think that was written by her. She doesn't have that much courage to threaten me. And how would she know about us when I fired her on the third day? How did you find her?"

Siddhi said, "We tracked the flowers she sent and asked all the shops in Jaipur if someone had regularly bought white roses, except for that one week. Yes, it was quite tricky without any direct clue, but it worked. One shopkeeper told us that one girl wearing a mask used to come every day to buy white roses. and then She didn't come for one whole week, but today she came and bought red roses instead of white."

Then I searched all the CCTV footage around that area and I got her."

"But how did you recognize her if she was wearing a mask?" Raghav asked.

"Yes, she wore a mask, but I noticed the tattoo on her hand from the cctv footage. And while checking more days footages, on one day, while exiting the shop after buying the flowers, she collided with someone. Her handbag fell and some things got scattered. Among them there was an ID card. Of course it was not clear, but the ribbon color was visible. And we know our company's ID ribbon is unique." She might have not removed from her bag or forgot to took out after being fired.

"Then me and my team searched both current and ex-employee databases. We found a picture where some employees were standing together, and one of them had the same tattoo on her hand as the stalker."

"And to get more clarity I also checked her bank statements. Payments were made to different delivery companies during this month. That's how we confirmed it.

I looked at her.

"Good work, Siddhi. Seriously this time."

"It's nothing compared to our previous ones" she said.

Raghav smirked. By the way Siddhi you are seeing now Suryansh is not only impressing normal girls, psychos are also getting obsessed of him who are sending threats with roses.

"Suryansh teach me too this talent." he continued. But I only want to impress normal girls.

I can't handle these psychos, you are enough for them.

"Raghav, you can't do this," Siddhi said, laughing. "Suryansh has personality and aura. You can't match that."

"Le ek aur obsessive fan teri," Raghav muttered. "Humara toh ab kuch nhi ho sakta."

"Shut up. I'm just stating facts," she replied, lightly hitting him.

and they both were laughing

They both started laughing.

I gave them a serious look.

They immediately straightened.

"Don't scare me like that," Raghav said dramatically.

"So when are we celebrating?" he asked.

"After closing the chapter of this obsessive stalker," I replied with a slight smirk.

"Ok then I will inform them also to be ready for celebration at Suryansh place at 7 pm", Raghav said.

"Why at my place? And who asked me before deciding this?" I asked him.

"Your stalker got caught and the meeting was yours. So obviously, you're giving the party. Right, Siddhi?" he said.

"Correct. One hundred percent correct," Siddhi agreed. "You have to give the party, Suryansh."

"Fine, fine. I'll give it," I said, knowing I had no escape.

But something still bothered me.

"She can send flowers," I said slowly. "But that threat..."

"Leave it," Raghav said. "She was just bluffing."

"Bluffing needs a reason. Why bluff like that?"

"You are thinking too much" and "You are going there then ask her directly", he said

"Yes," Siddhi agreed. "Let's go."

I nodded.

"Raghav, handle the office till we come back."

"Okay boss," he said, still unable to be serious.
