Chapter 35 - Chapter 35 The Last Enemy

The battlefield had fallen silent again.

The enormous body of the Void Guardian lay motionless in the ruins of Velkar Temple.

Black crystal fragments were scattered across the broken courtyard.

The storm above the mountains had begun to calm.

But the tension in the air had not disappeared.

Because one enemy still remained.

The cult leader.

He stood on the temple steps, surrounded by swirling dark energy.

His eyes burned with fury as he stared at the fallen monster.

"The Guardian… defeated by a child."

His voice echoed across the battlefield.

Captain Leon slowly raised his sword again.

The surviving knights moved behind him.

Even though they were exhausted, they still stood ready.

"This battle is not over," Leon said quietly.

Orion stepped forward.

His gaze remained locked on the cult leader.

"You lost."

The cult leader laughed softly.

"Lost?"

He spread his arms wide.

Dark energy spiraled around his body like a storm.

"You truly think the Guardian was my final plan?"

The ground trembled again.

The broken ritual circle suddenly began glowing once more.

Orion's eyes narrowed.

"You're forcing the ritual."

The cult leader smiled.

"Very good."

"You still understand my research perfectly."

He raised both hands.

Dark lightning struck the ruins around him.

"I designed the Guardian to open the gate."

"But if the key is broken…"

His eyes glowed brighter.

"Then I will become the key myself."

A massive wave of dark mana erupted from his body.

Several injured knights collapsed instantly under the pressure.

Captain Leon gritted his teeth.

"That power…"

Orion clenched his fists.

"He's sacrificing his own life force."

The cult leader's body began changing.

Dark energy wrapped around him like armor.

Black crystal fragments from the destroyed Guardian slowly floated toward him.

They fused with his body.

Saksham slowly stood up from the ground.

His entire body ached from the previous battle.

But when he saw the transformation happening—

his expression hardened.

"You're turning yourself into a vessel."

The cult leader laughed again.

"Exactly."

The black crystals fully covered his arms and shoulders.

Dark wings of energy formed behind his back.

His power surged dramatically.

The ground cracked beneath his feet.

Inside Saksham's mind, the system interface flashed urgently.

SYSTEM ALERT

New Enemy Detected

Name: Void Apostle

Threat Level: Extreme

Saksham frowned.

"Void Apostle…"

Orion looked toward him.

"He's merging with the Guardian's remaining energy."

"That form will be extremely dangerous."

Captain Leon stepped forward.

"Then we fight together."

The remaining knights raised their weapons.

But Orion shook his head.

"No."

"This enemy is beyond normal soldiers."

Leon frowned.

"You expect us to watch?"

Saksham stepped forward beside Orion.

"You already protected the kingdom."

"Now let us finish it."

The cult leader—now transformed into the Void Apostle—slowly lifted his head.

His eyes glowed like burning purple stars.

"You think you can defeat me?"

His voice had become deeper.

More monstrous.

"You barely survived the Guardian."

Dark energy gathered around his claws.

"I will crush both of you."

Suddenly—

he vanished.

The next moment—

he appeared directly in front of Saksham.

His claw shot forward like lightning.

Saksham reacted instantly.

"Fusion Shield!"

Golden and black energy formed a barrier.

CRASH!

The impact shook the entire courtyard.

The ground beneath Saksham's feet shattered.

But the shield held.

The Void Apostle tilted his head slightly.

"Interesting."

Orion moved instantly.

Golden light gathered around his hand.

"Solar Lance!"

A beam of light shot forward.

BOOM!

The attack struck the Apostle's side and forced him backward.

The monster slid across the broken stone floor.

Then slowly stood again.

Dark energy healed the damage almost instantly.

The Apostle smiled.

"You cannot stop the Void."

Behind him—

the unstable vortex in the sky began forming again.

The dimensional gate was still trying to open.

Orion looked toward Saksham.

"We must defeat him quickly."

Saksham nodded.

Golden light appeared in one hand.

Darkness in the other.

The two energies began spinning together again.

Fusion mana formed once more.

But this time—

Saksham pushed even more control into the technique.

The swirling sphere became denser.

More stable.

Orion noticed immediately.

"Your control improved."

Saksham smirked slightly.

"I learned during the fight."

The Void Apostle spread his wings.

"Enough games."

Dark energy exploded from his body.

The air trembled violently.

The final battle was about to begin.

Saksham and Orion stood side by side.

Fusion mana and golden light burned in their hands.

Across the ruined courtyard—

the Void Apostle prepared to unleash his full power.

And above them—

the unstable dimensional gate continued growing.

If they failed now—

the Void would enter the world.

To be continued…
